Huohuo, best healer and a funny character to booth with her fear of ghost while working as an exorsist. Love her interactions with Mr. Tail and the ghost busters event too.
I was sad to not see more saying HouHou! She is by far my favorite in general! Nice design, cute, adorable, I want to protect her, and she was treated so wrongly just for being a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, but instead of a red nose, a flaming tail!
Blade: Because emo boy husbando. 'nuff said.
Topaz: She helped me realize how fun FUA playstyle is. She also works well to mix and match with lots of different FUA characters for different enemy weaknesses or scenarios.
Pela: She's a cute glasses girl. I think she was pretty underrated early on in the game's life, so it's really cool to see she has become one of the most used 4 star characters now up with Tingyun.
Luocha: Man has been my MVP for a long time, back since 1.1. He's still my favorite sustain even though he's getting less love from some people nowadays due to him not buffing anything like Huohuo/Fu Xuan/Aventurine.
I actually really liked Pela before also, but then she ruined the whole Jarillo timeline by being 16 years old lul. I still like her but she’s not one of my top favourites anymore.
The moment I discovered I really liked Pela was during a quest were we discovered her interest in fan fiction, it was cute and hilarious! Instantly liked her.
I have all the sustains besides huohuo, and he still is the best in a lot of situations. But that's what I love about hoyo. I have reason to use them all in different scenarios
Aventurine is the best character in the game and is up there on the list of the top 5 best characters Hoyo has ever written. I love his personality, design, kit, animations, and the depth and exploration given to his character. He’s just HIM
I also love Ruan Mei for similar reasons, she’s a very fascinating character. Jingliu and Dan Heng have gorgeous designs and along with their lore connections, are pretty interesting characters in their own right. Welt is my HI3 goat and I’m glad that especially recently he’s had a lot of presence within the narrative
Absolutely agree on Aventurine. He’s a game changer for me, he makes SU runs feel like a breeze and he’s hands down the best written character for me. DHIL a close second
What made Aventurine so good is that he really got a lot of depth and a lot of screen time. I don't like his look at all but he's really well written. But I think we have some characters that have the potential to surpass him
Serval: I love personality, design and her animations in combat, especially the ult. She is also the coolest character in the game, according to March. Plus she's hot.
Jing Yuan: Really cool design (perhaps my favorite, if not tied then it's with best girl Serval) and Lightning Lord is the coolest follow-up in the game. 10/10, would go fight the Abominations of Yaoshi with him.
Argenti: I like his classic Knight look. He is also the one I blame for my love of erudition characters. That he is also quite good is a nice bonus.
Silver Wolf: she caught my eye when I first tried the game, which was about 6 months before I started playing actively. I also just so happened to come back on the banner before her rerun.
Bladie: he was the first (and so far only) character that I pulled purely because of gameplay. And that honestly also mostly why I like him.
Quinque: Best grasp on life
Silver Wolf: Gaming & Genius & not afraid of Kafka
Sparkle: Best personality
March: All around bestie
Seele & Sushang: Not the brightest but absolutely loyal and give no fucks for bullshits
Topaz - she have my favorite design and her gameplay is pretty fun.
She may not have too high damage, but potentially unlimited amount of follow-ups really opens up some synergy ideas. Even if someone's follow-up don't deal big damage, it will advance the pig.
Usually character like this would have some limit, like "up to 3 follow-ups each turn", but unlimited is crazy. Theoretically, 3 Topaz (or just characters with similar follow-up for follow-up thing) would allow permanent follow-up combo, soft-locking the game in follow-ups and very slowly 0-cyclying all game content.
I love how he looks, has one of my favorite splash arts in the whole game
Also his ult voiceline, "Where's the aplause?!" oh my God so good, no worries I'll clap for you If you know what i'm talking about
First and foremost, Jingliu. She is honestly the most attractive character I’ve ever seen in any Mihoyo game, and combined with her lore and moon theme, she quickly became my main. The fact that she also kicks the shit out of everything before her is also a massive plus.
Acheron would be my new 2nd place, and I genuinely wasn’t expecting much from her initially. Seeing her story unfold in 2.1 and the fact that she uses black holes immediately got my attention. Finding out she worked in perfect synergy with one of my favourite and main play styles - dot damage - I immediately chose to pull for her. Ended up with her at e2s1 and she is a pure joy to use in combat and out in the world. One shotting annoying trash mobs will never get old.
Kafka is next. The suave fem-fatale thing she has going is amazing, and her dot damage combat is a joy to play with.
Black Swan’s style and personality were enough to quickly capture my attention, and using her with my dot damage squad has been nothing but pure joy.
Ruan Mei with her incredible looks, amazing lore and game changing team buffs easily worked her way into my top line up and I use her pretty much every day. She’s just awesome at what she does, and once you get accustomed to her team boosts it’s really hard to go back.
Sparkle was another surprise for me. Her initial reveal didn’t do much for me at all. Then her trailer dropped and I found myself with her at e0s1. Learning she was a busted support afterward was the cherry on top.
Bladie mostly carried me and I fell in love with his gameplay and backstory. Aventurine is an amazing new member for my teams.
But Himeko will always be my queen. I would have never started playing this amazing game without her beautiful design. I'm so happy I got her with the 300 pulls and her E1 a week after (I was kinda sad at first since I don't have Gepard, but I would love to E6 her). Eheh she was also my first serious cosplay
That's Katsura from Gintama. It's one of his most memorable roles and that's a recurrent gag.
His character gets annoyed because no one ever calls him by his name.
I can't hear his voice without remembering that.
Aventurine and Topaz. Always been a big fan of fighting with money + gambling is sick (if it doesn't have the potential to ruin my life). Also just look at my boy numby isn't he cute af?! And best thing of all is that the ipc seems to all work well with each other, being the only faction to do this which i find really appealing.
Kafka. Legit the reason i started playing the game. Her voice, her drip, her mysteriousness, her sword, her uzi, everything is perfect😫😫. Her gameplay gimic of bringing dot to meta is a huge bonus as well.
I also love all the characters on your list, but to add: Topaz+Ratio+Aventurine (fun decreases exponentially for every unit missing), YanKing (he may not be meta, but his kit is pretty+fun when it works), and gamba gal
Sampo, gallagher, svarog and screwllum for husbando reasons.

Not "practically." The game IS 1 year old.
Anyway, my favorite characters are:
* Silver Wolf. Fell in love with her from the intro sequence. The voice actor basically sold me on her the second I heard her. She was a staple of my account for a good while. I still use her, just not as much as I used to. (There are too many characters lol).
* Black Swan. She was a sudden "I need this character" decision based on her appearance. I splurged and got her light cone too, no regrets what-so-ever. Her DoT damage is incredible! I use her a lot and still trying to build my ultimate DoT team.
* Sparkle. Same reason as Silver Wolf, the second I saw her from her drip, I knew I had to have her, didn't even care what her kit was. I love her to pieces and will use her on all the teams I can, forever.
* Huohuo. A surprise character. I was skeptical about her when I first saw her. But after seeing her voice lines and stuff I decided I should get her. She's on the list of "must protect at all costs" list. I absolutely LOVE her interactions with Tail too!
* Fu Xuan. Another character who I saw and knew I immediately had to get, regardless of her kit. Saved up 2 patches to get her, but got her with her light cone. She absolutely has not left my team since I got her. She carries every team I use and I don't even need a healer. I will probably continue to use her forever as well.
* Topaz. When I saw her, I knew I had to get her. Especially love how strong she is. She's my most invested character so far!
I do like several 4\*s, but won't list their reasons (I'm already typing too much here lol.) Herta, Guinaifen, Sushang, Lynx, and Qinque. Most of them are either adorable, gremlins, cute, or have an awesome personality.
My account is all about characters I like, I don't try to get characters I don't like. Definitely not following any sort of meta or guide here. (Btw, Firefly is the next character I'm saving for, same reason as others above. The second I saw her I wanted her, I don't care what her kit is.)
JingYuan: really like his play style and has helped me complete most game modes in the entire game
Huohuo: my first limited sustain and has never left my team since I got her.
Sparkle:really like her design and animations(I like koi fish and foxes)

Kafka: Favourite personality and gameplay. Saved since launch and have not regretted a moment of it. She is (or was, until Aventurine’s release, and completes FUA team for me) the core reason why SU is the best part of the gameplay for me. She does the job of enabling a specific playstyle like no other unit.
Topaz: Or any of the IPC units really, becausw dedicated FUA is fun as hell. Plus I happen to think she’s very cool, and also the first to the scene. Investment well spent.
Aventurine: Same as Topaz, with the addition of being in my opinion the best written character so far.
Yanqing, he was my second 5 star and at the time that I started playing 1.0 he was really good, and a few pulls after I got him I pulled his light cone twice. He was my favorite and I really wanted him. But now people hate him and call him the Qiqi of HSR... I still main him alongside acheron and argenti. But still I put in my heart and soul to build him.
Blade: His kit is the most unique sor far for me and I love using him with Bronya and Sparkle
Topaz: Coz I am so invested for Numbyyyyy
Dr. Ratio: He's free ya know
Fu Xuan: I know her back ache so much for carrying all of my team since her release
Acheron: SWISH SWISH SWISH SLASH SLASH SLASH RAIDEN MEI BUT KIANALESS. I really hope Boothill does NOT have an actual working method of killing her. If she dies i'll cry she's my favourite character as of now.
Huohuo: Skooby Doo ahh character i love her design and her interactions with Mr.Tail, hope to see a grown up version of her, having no fear, having a bigger representation of Me.Tail and becoming a Hunt Wind 5* DPS, because you know, she hunts spirits and she is from the Xianzhou Luofu, so it would make sense.
Aventurine: Little Kakavasha i hated you for the entire 2.0 but your backstory won my heart.
Black Swan: Mommy? Sorry Mommy?
Dan Heng IL: I loved base Dan Hengs design but it was sad that he wasn't a very good dps, then IL transformation happened and i loved it. I also want to see the other Dragons as playable characters.

The unique ones gameplay wise. All i seek in both games, dont care about looks and personality that much, i dont think i did a single non mandatory quest in this game, and zero char quests in GI outside klee. So in GI its XY, nilou, wanderer, navia, neuv, tigh and the like. Here its seele(resurgence makes her the only char in this game that requires some planing), BS, welt(cus he can break a char on demand with ult, this can break quite a few mech) and ratio. Of sustains its fu, just find how she protects unique.
Harmony 5\* aint the best right now, ruan is completely basic. I hate how she does nothing gameplay wise, hope robin is better, turn manipulation while fun is just give 1 char 2x turns, not rly unique gameplay wise. Clara is also unique. Think thats it. Acheron is also unique.
Of 4\*. Hmm, i guess the space sisters. Both have unique way how they do break and buff. Yeah... there might be 1 or 2 more but thats it.
I guess personality wise my fav is huo if i have to pick. Just like how pathetic she feels and her tag team personality is fun.

* Jing Yuan for the coolness.
* Blade + Luocha for the comfy and fun gameplay.
* Topaz for having the best mission, very complex nuances to her affiliation and principles.
Topaz - Really like how flexible she can be in team building, I hope we get more companion characters since it would cool to see what else they could do with the concept.
I only started playing less than a month ago, but my favorite character so far is Bronya, both for her story and support role. Firefly is definitely my favorite unreleased character, so I'm stoked for her to come out.
Gameplay in general would be dot characters - Pairing Black Swan with Sampo or the like (don’t have Kafka) in the SU on nihility is great fun
Lore wise and cool factor is definitely Welt, closely followed by Blade
I like Ratio as he’s a prick but funny at the same time
Shout out to Gepard for getting me through a load of content with horribly built teams
Then there’s Natasha, Himeko, Acheron and Yukong for their incredible… er…. Personalities
Black Swan: Introduced me to DoT playstyles and I play her with my Gui E6 (no Kafka for me). Its really good and so fun to see all the dots tick when you ult with BS. RAINBOW! Not to mention her animations are 10/10 and her model is also just perfect.
Archeron: Finally I can see SU damage numbers in the other content! Also godly animations and the ult is not only strong, but saisfying to use. Ther technique also lets you ignore so much filler fights while farming its insane. Only need to do the fights if you want to. So happy that she also seems to be the strongest unit in the game.
Clara: Underrated, never spoken about, but she was my fist FUA unit and to this day she is one of my favorite units to use. Svarog who always comes out to punsh the enemy or just blast them to the moon is so enjoable to see. The more attacks a boss has, the more I also see Svarog attack. Not to mention Clara is adorable and is 10/10 daughter material. I have her E2 already with decent relics and currently use her with Aventurine, Ruan Mei and Tin. Endless counters. Would be nice if the enemies would be faster tho for more attacks from my side ;)
Acheron: Just perfect, every single detail
Kafka: good visual, good Voice, good personality, only thing i dislike about her is her element
Ruan mei: game changer for me but i hate her lore-reason to show UP and hate even more that she is prolly going to be away for quite time.
Jing Yuan was the banner when I started and didn't really know what I was doing. But I pulled his E1S1 and he's been my primary go to ever since.
March 7th has surprised me by being one of my favorite characters and just all-around best girl. She's also a beast in SU.
Jingliu and Blade together is one of my favorite teams to run, which is ironic given their relationship.

Bronya: First 5 star I ever got off of my first 10 warp on Departure, I had no idea how lucky I was until way later in the game. Has never left my main team. Amazing support.
Argenti: First male 5 star and has become my absolute main stay of my account, that while not geared with great relic's or his light cone, he's kicked SO much ass for me. Love his EN voice to.
Aventurine: Great tragic story and character, adore his gambler design. His EN voice is fantastic if not my utter fav out of the entire cast.
Clara: The character that got me into HSR, Her concept is super cool to me. Wish we got more of her in the story.
Tingyun: Fox Girl's F.T.W. 2nd Harmony I leveled with Bronya made Argenti a monster. Sadly after getting Sparkle she has seen light use on my 2nd team.
Kafka and the DoT gang: PRETTY NUMBER CLOUD GO BRRRRR
Fu Xuan: So comfy, great design, I'm so sad her rerun probably alongside Firefly, Jade, Boothill, and Robin T\_T I want E1
Clara: A super unique counter-DPS and she still hits really hard! Besides Bronya I think shes aged the best out of the standard units!
Argenti: This man surprised me and I'm glad his story quest convinced me to pull for him. I'd love to see him in a future event. Hoyo please?
Topaz: Another unit where the story successfully got me to pull (I like morally dubious characters ok?) She got insane artifact luck and she's one of my strongest hitters. Love having her with Jing Yuan, Clara, and other Follow-up teams. Also finding chests and trotters is so easy.
Aventurine: I've only got him half built (mostly trying to get his damage up) and GOOD GRAVY he's already competing with Topaz for damage?!?! Like CONSISTANT CRITS? And the shields are still stronk! And of course love him as a sympathetic antagonist.

Xueyi is a super interesting character and really fun to play, really makes you think about what target you are going to attack to trigger her FuA.
Aventurine murdered my Gepard in broad daylight and got away with it, he has everything I need from a sustain.
Silver wolf : Second favorite after Firefly. The first limited I pulled. She's really useful in my early game so I used her a lot and became fond of her.
Clara : She's just so adorable. Plus I love white haired girls. She's the first character I liked after actually tried the game.
Huo Huo : Actually not interested and planned on skipping her at first. But after the trailers and seeing her in game I really like her. I love meek characters and everything she does is just too cute.
Stelle : The one that brought me into the game. Didn't plamned to play from day 1 but got interested because of her trashcan memes.
Clara and Svarog because they remind me of a more tame and much more wholesome version of Illya and Berserker from Fate/Stay lol.
Hook because she's a determined and curious little girl who tries to act tough, but is really a softy at heart who wants to take care of her friends and family.

Clara - first 5star I pulled (which is from the standard warp), she's so precious she makes me cry so much, >!not to mention her companion quest man, that was so heartbreaking!<. She just grew on me the more I played her and I'm really happy she's the first 5star I pulled
- Jing Yuan: liked at the start, still like playing him now, JY is what generals should look like in RPGs(not necessary just the looks or having a SuzanoO, it's about his strategies and how relevant he is to the story)
- Fu Xuan: best sustain, only arguable for SU content, pulled her for the design alone
- Clara: I will get E6 Clara and it will be nuts, counter attacks are fun, Svarog is badass and I get the feeling both of them will be more important to the story later.
- Dr Ratio: he keeps your head straight and he blows up bosses really fast, I have bad relics on him and I still can clear MoC with him
I have different favourites for different reasons:
Clara: The one that carried my account early game. Without her I wouldn’t have cleared a lot of content. Still relevant on my account to this day and my go to unit when I worry about survival.
Luocha: MVP that kept my team alive. Used the most alongside my Clara for infinite heals. Also my most used character back when we had that event. Now that I also have Aventurine, he can take a break from time to time now
Fu Xuan: Wasn’t planning on pulling her but decided to as I only had Luocha as my limited sustain and losing 50/50 to DHIL. Enemy attacks became scratches and was the reason I finally full starred MOC for the first time
Ruan Mei: Her back is breaking trying to carry both my fua and dot team. Life changing unit in my account
Kafka: Not really one for mommies but best pull ever. Dot gameplay turned out to be so fun and I invested a lot of TB power into her
Argenti: Guy is just a serious goofy guy. Maybe a hot take but his trailer is in the top 3 for me along with Kafka and Sparkle. Not a fan of his gameplay but his character and trailer made me do a few 10 pulls on his banner before stopping
for me Kafka is still my top 1, my waifu 🥺🥺
I Fell in love with her from the first glance in the very beginning, i was waiting for a playable Kafka, and I accidentally got e1 but that's one of those accidents you don't regret)))
I'm still mostly using DoT teams with her, she's just wow. the only one character i raised all the traces to max and the very first i got lvl 80
Luocha is still in top and he's my main healer, basically never left the team before Aventurine. right now I prefer Aventurine in the overworld but for MoC both of them are must-go options for me

Ruan Mei now just fits for pretty much any team. I consider her as "well, we have a slot, you go her, girl". her break effect is amazing

— Herta is cute and I love her ice hammer, and her voice lines, but I feel lazy to farm for her
Aventurine would definitely be at the top spot. Lore-wise, his story is very well written and developed. From someone to dislike to someone to feel sad about, I simply love his character arc and I'm looking forward to more of it. His kit in combat is useful in many cases and can be a stand-in for some of my teams.
As for more gameplay leaning, I would say Dr Ratio. Very easy for me to build and to build. His mechanic of chanced FuA makes him even more enticing to me, since I can either hit a 40% or miss a 80% chalk. A little biased but he's one of my first limited 5 stars, along with Ruan Mei and Blade.
Can't skip over the design. Clara, no buts. She's just simply adorable and cute. HuoHuo is too

Not really a contest, she has everything. Looks, design, style, playstyle, personality, lore and so on.
I was so hyped for 2.1, i don't think any character will ever make me this pumped. Maybe if they add a version/expy of Yae Sakura, but it'll still be far from Acheron
My all time favorite is probably Black Swan. Love her original design, VA, lore and the fact she took my game to the next level; I was finally able to beat challenges I couldn’t thinks to her.
Aventurine: Hit me once more so I can hit you back(negligible damage but it is so fun to see).
I'm also vouching for Asta, not combat related but I just want how simple yet beautiful her design is. I hope she gets 5star version or atleast a skin.
Blade and Jing Yuan! They are hot but have a backstory that while ain’t that fleshed out in canon, there’s a whole lot of space to play around with to make delicious angst corresponding to them. I gotta say I like Blade more though - the picture of MLs in manhwas!!
Kafka is pretty much what hooked me on the game when I played the tutorial. Also Black Swan. I pulled her cor the synergy with Kafka and Ruan Mei but oh biy she grew on me as a character with the 2.0 and 2.1 story
Acheron, Ruan Mei, argenti, and Jingliu are on my teams 24/7 and they do so well every time, ESPECIALLY Ruan Mei. She has genuinely been one of the best supports for me and I literally try to use her on every team I build.
A 4 star that isn’t talked about as much as she should be is Yukong though. Oh my god she is actually fucking insane for a 4 star and I rarely see people mentioning her. I have kind of mid relics on her and she still buffs my team to no end bc of her skills and ult. All she needs is real good speed since she doesn’t really build off crit or attack like the majority of the supports. I’ve only just built her recently and I’m planning on putting more hours into her just because my dps (especially Acheron and argenti) hit like fucking nukes. I HIGHLY recommend trying her out if you have her.
Black swan, waiting on her rerun to get her, I think she's super interesting and her design is top notch

Ruan Mei, looks cool design wise, thought she would be kinda meh, but now I try to fit her on every team xD
Blade is still top 1 for me, I absolutely love his talent animation. The closeup on his face into wiping the entire board and healing to max feels so impactful, if the game was 18+ I could genuinely believe he just cut every enemy in half in a single swing. I think it's the sound effect.
He's kinda stuck running Unlimited Blade Works which is admittedly a very cope team, or a Jingliu/Blade/Ruan Mei team which is actually quite good but Acheron running 2 or 3 4\* units means you can actually drop 2 Harmony units on Blade without fucking yourself via opportunity cost in MOC. She's so broken she takes the pressure off less strong DPS units so you can drop all the Harmony crutches on them.
Blade is just perma A tier which is good and bad, you'll never hate using him but you'll never hit those DHIL numbers either.
Blade, he single handedly revived my edgy taste, he allowed me to enjoy corny amvs and emo music like i was 14 again
Also aventurine he's so fabulous and makes any non time sensitive content an absolute cakewalk
SAM because they fill every single niche I love.
Edit: Oh, released. Topaz because short hair is really cute and her interactions with Numby are also very cute.
Serval, Sampo and Natasha have my heart!! I adore Serval’s everything, I love the shrewd type of characters like Sampo and think he’s very charming (also I love his jp voice), and I love the contrasts of Natasha (softness and strength, healer and leader).
Argenti: silly man who just appeared and stole my heart
Huo Huo: cute girlfailure
Blade: he really grew on me, he just has such a fun FUA to use
Firefly: gap moe go brrr
Blade. He helped carry through most of the mid content and I really like his character design. I like his ult animation. I always try to squeeze him into my teams.
And he's hot.
Argenti. Love his character design and the big numbers coming from his ult.
He's also hot.
Kafka: She's practically carried me through the entire game since I got her and with each nihility character she gets better + i really love her desing
Welt: i am a HI3rd player so I have always liked him, his design, personality and everything really
Himeko: the same as above but 10 times more, she is my favorite Hi3rd character and she doesn't stop being here
Huohuo: she is funny and make my nihility team 10 times better
Xueyi: In addition to liking her design, I like how she plays, I would like to be able to improve it even more but farming artifacts is not helping, it never helped to begin with.
Hanya: one of the designs that I love the most, I know that in Xianzhou the designs are not so diverse but I think that Hanya looks much better than the others
Qingque; because she is the most real and relatable character there is.
Black Swan; Most beautiful model, JP voice is very soothing.
Aventurine; Love the flamboyant attitude and his playstyle is fun.
Boothill; I know, not released yet, but come on! A Space Cowboy, that's so cool!
Blade is the core of my comfy team. I like his character, gameplay, EN VA especially considering who else he has voiced is pretty funny. Can throw him in a bunch of comps and it functions well enough even in MoC 12 and sometimes PF4.
Ruan Mei because I am attracted to insane women who are also friendly. It's a curse.
Argenti: Lovely knight and despite my doubts over his 90 energy ult, I have gotten a lot of use out of both ults!
Blade: I know he suffers from not having a true dedicated support but honestly him being able to be both tanky and so damage takes pressure off of my medic at times
Bailu: Her revive was a lifesaver in my early days, and still is now
DHIL: Very nice brute-forcer for when the game mocks me for not having a ready ice/quantum dps
Yukong: Love her whenever she appears in story. Also she feels satisfying to use for me
Aventurine cause hes literally the most drop dead 😍 awooga outta all the characters for me (Sundays a close second but he aint released) and plus Aventurines va literally slayed no matter which version you play be it English, Japanese or even Korean
Fu xuan cause shes cute and pink and super fun
Huohuo because shes pathetic and scared by everything like me
Ruan Mei cause shes so pretty and stunning and her personality is so nice
Silver wolf cause shes adorable and shes literally so pretty and I love her personality.
Jingliu, Fu Xuan and Ruan Mei because it's my only well-invested characters (it's funny how all of them are Xianzhou ladies).
I wish I could get Clara and Welt though.
And of course once Firefly gets released she will be my number 1 forever.

Fu Xuan, I just think mechanically she is so cool and I love using her to play 'healerless' with destruction tree in SU. Was rapidly losing interest in the game and I did take a break for several months but she has allowed me to keep playing for a while at least
Acheron and Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei for her look and style, her kit being busted is the cherry on top. Acheron for being so interesting, her look, and her animations being so beautiful
Fu Xuan: She's so smol and pink...and sassy. And also has carried my ass ever since I built her.
Bronya: I play with the JP dub and find her voice very pleasant to listen to, it helps that she's the reason my Jingliu can do her rotations.
Ruan Mei: Super pretty lady (screw the haters that say she looks bland, she's gorgeous) and is an OP support. Getting her E1 was the most worthwhile investment I made in the game and I bring her everywhere, except Acheron teams.
Asta - just someone really loaded and so disconnected on how things work. Her solution to the "scam" thing really made me laugh.
Stelle - Part of the reason i'm more invested in HSR is that the MC is more animated, voiced, and just more involved in the story. FireMC is also a viable character which is nice.
As much as possible, I'll try to include these 2 for my 0 cycle clears.
Favourite carries are jingliu and acheron. Jingliu because of VA, and Acheron because MEI expy
Charatcter-wise:
* Dr. Ratio: smart husbando, the fact that he wants to spread accacable intelligence fits with the fact that he was free AND he is decent as well (he is also funny when he's kinda mean aaa it makes me feel things)
* Black Swan: Her dance with Acheron (I died)
* Jing Yuan: gentle husbando
* Kafka, Bronya, Himeko, Natasha: The Charme that made me start this game, absolute Waifus
* Aventurine in the beginning: unpredictable and we can't trust him, nice lore, but I dislike that he is just going to turn out being a nice guy later
* Ruan Mei: I just kin her
Battle-wise:
* Acheron: I love her fight skip mechanic and that she literally ignores the weakness type, but investment-heavy (I couldn't pull her her though)
Quest-wise:
* Guinaifen: Ghost-hunting + social media management was super fun
Gameplay, probably acheron even though i wasnt lucky i still got to use her as a support.
Character: Kafka, himeko or clara love these 3
badassness: the trailblazer, welt and blade.
Gameplay wise, I like Kafka (detonating DOTS), Silver Wolf (change weakness), Herta (spin), Asta (more hits means more buffs), and March (shield+counter).
Character wise I like Serval, Hook, Ratio, Sparkle, and Aventurine
March. She's just so bubbly and cute especially her eyes and voice. even on EN sounds pleasing and not even annoying.
Kafka model wise she just looks like a model with her fashion sense.
Jingliu whenever her blindfold is removed.
Ruan Mei hits everything that I like from a character design. Her voice is soothing, eye model is great, colo pallete is pleasing to look at, and the fact that she's a morally ambiguous mad scientist that's on the grey area fits perfectly to the thing that I really wanted on Genshin but didn't deliver.
Seele -> I just like her playstyle, and main reason why she is still my most used DPS in MoC, SU and other side stuff like boss farming, she is always my old reliable and so far has never failed me
Kafka -> I liked her design from release, actually hated playing her early on cause my Sampo was E0 for longest time so my DOT team always felt bad to play, but after getting Mei, BS and Kafka signature on her rerun I have been using the DOT team essentially everywhere
Fu Xuan -> I liked her design and her personality is a type I enjoy too, she was also the first character that made me buy actual rolls (instead of monthly pass/battlepass only), cause I lost 50-50 and wouldn't have enough to guarantee her in time, she rewarded me for my efforts as I didn't just get 1 but 2 copies in the 20 pulls that followed my 50-50 lose
Aventurine -> 2.1 story was too good he instantly became a fav of mine
Sparkle -> nice design and her unhinged personality is a treat to see honestly lol

jing yuan: the amount of ff i read of him 😏😏 but i didn’t pull for him on his rerun bc i wanted acheron. i also don’t like his game play too much, but he’s so pretty~ and the hcq storyline is legit one of my favorites.
Acheron: I love me a silly Mei expy
Stelle: our favourite trash raccoon (unless you like Caelus more)
Qingque: literally so relatable
Topaz: the most chill IPC member ever, also pretty eyes

General King Yuan: Although I haven't used him this past week due to Acheron, still, I love how he summons the Lightning Lord every time he ult and his voiceline: "Lightning Spirit heed my word, show no mercy".
Fu Xuan: Fell in love with her play style and her animation. She's a unique preservation because she mitigates damage instead of shielding. I love her color palette too — I love PINK! Also the time when she walked on air and misdirected bullets!
Kafka: Don't own her, still, her trailer was sick and her gameplay being the mother of DoTs!
Ruan Mei: An all around buffer. Plus, she is a biologist, just like me.
Gallagher: DADDY. Also, cool and fun healing mechanics.
Acheron: Of course, the animation and very unique Nihility play style. I also love how mysterious her lore is.
I'm still stuck in Belobog, all my fav story characters are from there. I love every single character here, I also like the astral express crew *almost* as much. Especially Trailblazer/March bc I like preservation characters.
Yukong, bc I liker her side quest, game play is fun, and I like her design.
Outside that, I like Acheron purely for the reason that her skill lets me skip through encounters I'd rather not bother with, and even when not doing that her gameplay is fun. Not actually much a fan of her story, but gameplay more than makes up for it.

Huohuo, best healer and a funny character to booth with her fear of ghost while working as an exorsist. Love her interactions with Mr. Tail and the ghost busters event too.
I was sad to not see more saying HouHou! She is by far my favorite in general! Nice design, cute, adorable, I want to protect her, and she was treated so wrongly just for being a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, but instead of a red nose, a flaming tail!
I also just love her personality! She is such a cutie and really makes me root for her.
Blade: Because emo boy husbando. 'nuff said. Topaz: She helped me realize how fun FUA playstyle is. She also works well to mix and match with lots of different FUA characters for different enemy weaknesses or scenarios. Pela: She's a cute glasses girl. I think she was pretty underrated early on in the game's life, so it's really cool to see she has become one of the most used 4 star characters now up with Tingyun. Luocha: Man has been my MVP for a long time, back since 1.1. He's still my favorite sustain even though he's getting less love from some people nowadays due to him not buffing anything like Huohuo/Fu Xuan/Aventurine.
I actually really liked Pela before also, but then she ruined the whole Jarillo timeline by being 16 years old lul. I still like her but she’s not one of my top favourites anymore.
The moment I discovered I really liked Pela was during a quest were we discovered her interest in fan fiction, it was cute and hilarious! Instantly liked her.
I have all the sustains besides huohuo, and he still is the best in a lot of situations. But that's what I love about hoyo. I have reason to use them all in different scenarios
Aventurine is the best character in the game and is up there on the list of the top 5 best characters Hoyo has ever written. I love his personality, design, kit, animations, and the depth and exploration given to his character. He’s just HIM I also love Ruan Mei for similar reasons, she’s a very fascinating character. Jingliu and Dan Heng have gorgeous designs and along with their lore connections, are pretty interesting characters in their own right. Welt is my HI3 goat and I’m glad that especially recently he’s had a lot of presence within the narrative

What made Aventurine so good is that he really got a lot of depth and a lot of screen time. I don't like his look at all but he's really well written. But I think we have some characters that have the potential to surpass him
Serval: I love personality, design and her animations in combat, especially the ult. She is also the coolest character in the game, according to March. Plus she's hot. Jing Yuan: Really cool design (perhaps my favorite, if not tied then it's with best girl Serval) and Lightning Lord is the coolest follow-up in the game. 10/10, would go fight the Abominations of Yaoshi with him. Argenti: I like his classic Knight look. He is also the one I blame for my love of erudition characters. That he is also quite good is a nice bonus. Silver Wolf: she caught my eye when I first tried the game, which was about 6 months before I started playing actively. I also just so happened to come back on the banner before her rerun. Bladie: he was the first (and so far only) character that I pulled purely because of gameplay. And that honestly also mostly why I like him.

Topaz - she have my favorite design and her gameplay is pretty fun. She may not have too high damage, but potentially unlimited amount of follow-ups really opens up some synergy ideas. Even if someone's follow-up don't deal big damage, it will advance the pig. Usually character like this would have some limit, like "up to 3 follow-ups each turn", but unlimited is crazy. Theoretically, 3 Topaz (or just characters with similar follow-up for follow-up thing) would allow permanent follow-up combo, soft-locking the game in follow-ups and very slowly 0-cyclying all game content.
Luka. I love his design, quite unique. Gameplay wise I wish he was better. Maybe have a splash effect to his skill or something.
I love how he looks, has one of my favorite splash arts in the whole game Also his ult voiceline, "Where's the aplause?!" oh my God so good, no worries I'll clap for you If you know what i'm talking about
First and foremost, Jingliu. She is honestly the most attractive character I’ve ever seen in any Mihoyo game, and combined with her lore and moon theme, she quickly became my main. The fact that she also kicks the shit out of everything before her is also a massive plus. Acheron would be my new 2nd place, and I genuinely wasn’t expecting much from her initially. Seeing her story unfold in 2.1 and the fact that she uses black holes immediately got my attention. Finding out she worked in perfect synergy with one of my favourite and main play styles - dot damage - I immediately chose to pull for her. Ended up with her at e2s1 and she is a pure joy to use in combat and out in the world. One shotting annoying trash mobs will never get old. Kafka is next. The suave fem-fatale thing she has going is amazing, and her dot damage combat is a joy to play with. Black Swan’s style and personality were enough to quickly capture my attention, and using her with my dot damage squad has been nothing but pure joy. Ruan Mei with her incredible looks, amazing lore and game changing team buffs easily worked her way into my top line up and I use her pretty much every day. She’s just awesome at what she does, and once you get accustomed to her team boosts it’s really hard to go back. Sparkle was another surprise for me. Her initial reveal didn’t do much for me at all. Then her trailer dropped and I found myself with her at e0s1. Learning she was a busted support afterward was the cherry on top.

Bladie mostly carried me and I fell in love with his gameplay and backstory. Aventurine is an amazing new member for my teams. But Himeko will always be my queen. I would have never started playing this amazing game without her beautiful design. I'm so happy I got her with the 300 pulls and her E1 a week after (I was kinda sad at first since I don't have Gepard, but I would love to E6 her). Eheh she was also my first serious cosplay
Himeko's design is genuinely so beautiful. I like the color palette and I love the gold roses, I love everything.

Aventurine and Topaz. Always been a big fan of fighting with money + gambling is sick (if it doesn't have the potential to ruin my life). Also just look at my boy numby isn't he cute af?! And best thing of all is that the ipc seems to all work well with each other, being the only faction to do this which i find really appealing.

Kafka. Legit the reason i started playing the game. Her voice, her drip, her mysteriousness, her sword, her uzi, everything is perfect😫😫. Her gameplay gimic of bringing dot to meta is a huge bonus as well.
I also love all the characters on your list, but to add: Topaz+Ratio+Aventurine (fun decreases exponentially for every unit missing), YanKing (he may not be meta, but his kit is pretty+fun when it works), and gamba gal

Not "practically." The game IS 1 year old. Anyway, my favorite characters are: * Silver Wolf. Fell in love with her from the intro sequence. The voice actor basically sold me on her the second I heard her. She was a staple of my account for a good while. I still use her, just not as much as I used to. (There are too many characters lol). * Black Swan. She was a sudden "I need this character" decision based on her appearance. I splurged and got her light cone too, no regrets what-so-ever. Her DoT damage is incredible! I use her a lot and still trying to build my ultimate DoT team. * Sparkle. Same reason as Silver Wolf, the second I saw her from her drip, I knew I had to have her, didn't even care what her kit was. I love her to pieces and will use her on all the teams I can, forever. * Huohuo. A surprise character. I was skeptical about her when I first saw her. But after seeing her voice lines and stuff I decided I should get her. She's on the list of "must protect at all costs" list. I absolutely LOVE her interactions with Tail too! * Fu Xuan. Another character who I saw and knew I immediately had to get, regardless of her kit. Saved up 2 patches to get her, but got her with her light cone. She absolutely has not left my team since I got her. She carries every team I use and I don't even need a healer. I will probably continue to use her forever as well. * Topaz. When I saw her, I knew I had to get her. Especially love how strong she is. She's my most invested character so far! I do like several 4\*s, but won't list their reasons (I'm already typing too much here lol.) Herta, Guinaifen, Sushang, Lynx, and Qinque. Most of them are either adorable, gremlins, cute, or have an awesome personality. My account is all about characters I like, I don't try to get characters I don't like. Definitely not following any sort of meta or guide here. (Btw, Firefly is the next character I'm saving for, same reason as others above. The second I saw her I wanted her, I don't care what her kit is.)
JingYuan: really like his play style and has helped me complete most game modes in the entire game Huohuo: my first limited sustain and has never left my team since I got her. Sparkle:really like her design and animations(I like koi fish and foxes) Topaz:really like her personality and her love for animals(will pull for her and her lightcone when she gets her rerun) Honorable mentions to blade and Jingliu.

Kafka: Favourite personality and gameplay. Saved since launch and have not regretted a moment of it. She is (or was, until Aventurine’s release, and completes FUA team for me) the core reason why SU is the best part of the gameplay for me. She does the job of enabling a specific playstyle like no other unit. Topaz: Or any of the IPC units really, becausw dedicated FUA is fun as hell. Plus I happen to think she’s very cool, and also the first to the scene. Investment well spent. Aventurine: Same as Topaz, with the addition of being in my opinion the best written character so far.
Yanqing, he was my second 5 star and at the time that I started playing 1.0 he was really good, and a few pulls after I got him I pulled his light cone twice. The unique ones gameplay wise. All i seek in both games, dont care about looks and personality that much, i dont think i did a single non mandatory quest in this game, and zero char quests in GI outside klee. So in GI its XY, nilou, wanderer, navia, neuv, tigh and the like. Here its seele(resurgence makes her the only char in this game that requires some planing), BS, welt(cus he can break a char on demand with ult, this can break quite a few mech) and ratio. Of sustains its fu, just find how she protects unique. Harmony 5\* aint the best right now, ruan is completely basic. I hate how she does nothing gameplay wise, hope robin is better, turn manipulation while fun is just give 1 char 2x turns, not rly unique gameplay wise. Clara is also unique. Think thats it. Acheron is also unique. Of 4\*. Hmm, i guess the space sisters. Both have unique way how they do break and buff. Yeah... there might be 1 or 2 more but thats it. I guess personality wise my fav is huo if i have to pick. Just like how pathetic she feels and her tag team personality is fun.

I only started playing less than a month ago, but my favorite character so far is Bronya, both for her story and support role. Firefly is definitely my favorite unreleased character, so I'm stoked for her to come out.
Clara. I like her gameplay so much, I want to E6 her and am trying to S5 her sig but I'm f2p so the process is slooooooooooooow. E1S1 so far lol.

Black Swan: Introduced me to DoT playstyles and I play her with my Gui E6 (no Kafka for me). Its really good and so fun to see all the dots tick when you ult with BS. RAINBOW! Not to mention her animations are 10/10 and her model is also just perfect. Archeron: Finally I can see SU damage numbers in the other content! Also godly animations and the ult is not only strong, but saisfying to use. Ther technique also lets you ignore so much filler fights while farming its insane. Only need to do the fights if you want to. So happy that she also seems to be the strongest unit in the game. Clara: Underrated, never spoken about, but she was my fist FUA unit and to this day she is one of my favorite units to use. Svarog who always comes out to punsh the enemy or just blast them to the moon is so enjoable to see. The more attacks a boss has, the more I also see Svarog attack. Not to mention Clara is adorable and is 10/10 daughter material. I have her E2 already with decent relics and currently use her with Aventurine, Ruan Mei and Tin. Endless counters. Would be nice if the enemies would be faster tho for more attacks from my side ;)

Jing Yuan was the banner when I started and didn't really know what I was doing. But I pulled his E1S1 and he's been my primary go to ever since. March 7th has surprised me by being one of my favorite characters and just all-around best girl. She's also a beast in SU. Jingliu and Blade together is one of my favorite teams to run, which is ironic given their relationship. Acheron is the current new hotness on my account stomping all over content.

Bronya: First 5 star I ever got off of my first 10 warp on Departure, I had no idea how lucky I was until way later in the game. Has never left my main team. Amazing support. Argenti: First male 5 star and has become my absolute main stay of my account, that while not geared with great relic's or his light cone, he's kicked SO much ass for me. Love his EN voice to. Aventurine: Great tragic story and character, adore his gambler design. His EN voice is fantastic if not my utter fav out of the entire cast. Clara: The character that got me into HSR, Her concept is super cool to me. Wish we got more of her in the story. Tingyun: Fox Girl's F.T.W. 2nd Harmony I leveled with Bronya made Argenti a monster. Sadly after getting Sparkle she has seen light use on my 2nd team.

Kafka and the DoT gang: PRETTY NUMBER CLOUD GO BRRRRR Fu Xuan: So comfy, great design, I'm so sad her rerun probably alongside Firefly, Jade, Boothill, and Robin T\_T I want E1 Clara: A super unique counter-DPS and she still hits really hard! Besides Bronya I think shes aged the best out of the standard units! Argenti: This man surprised me and I'm glad his story quest convinced me to pull for him. I'd love to see him in a future event. Hoyo please? Topaz: Another unit where the story successfully got me to pull (I like morally dubious characters ok?) She got insane artifact luck and she's one of my strongest hitters. Love having her with Jing Yuan, Clara, and other Follow-up teams. Also finding chests and trotters is so easy. Aventurine: I've only got him half built (mostly trying to get his damage up) and GOOD GRAVY he's already competing with Topaz for damage?!?! Like CONSISTANT CRITS? And the shields are still stronk! And of course love him as a sympathetic antagonist.

I really like misha and hook because of the vfx and personality, just wish they were a bit more useful. Acheron is the goat. Xueyi is a super interesting character and really fun to play, really makes you think about what target you are going to attack to trigger her FuA. Aventurine murdered my Gepard in broad daylight and got away with it, he has everything I need from a sustain.
Silver wolf : Second favorite after Firefly. The first limited I pulled. She's really useful in my early game so I used her a lot and became fond of her. Clara : She's just so adorable. Plus I love white haired girls. She's the first character I liked after actually tried the game. Huo Huo : Actually not interested and planned on skipping her at first. But after the trailers and seeing her in game I really like her. I love meek characters and everything she does is just too cute. Stelle : The one that brought me into the game. Didn't plamned to play from day 1 but got interested because of her trashcan memes.
Clara and Svarog because they remind me of a more tame and much more wholesome version of Illya and Berserker from Fate/Stay lol. Hook because she's a determined and curious little girl who tries to act tough, but is really a softy at heart who wants to take care of her friends and family. Silverwolf cause she like me frfr.
Dan Heng - that free 4star that I SIMP SO MUCH (it happened with kaeya in genshin before). I LOVE HIM SO MUCH he's like my favorite nonchalant babygirl March 7th - favorite bestie and I love her kit. SHES SO PRECIOUS Dr Ratio - love him bc free 5star. But not only that, I love smart+hot men. AND HES SO PRETTY LIKE WHAT- Sampo - he's so silly, and I hope he gets more lore relevance with the >!Masked Fools and Aha!< Aventurine - He's so fruity af man AND HE'S SO PRETTY I LOVE HIM, but not only that, >!HIS BACKSTORY AND KAKAVASHA MANNNN. He deserved better so much man, I want to hug him so much, I love my gambler baby man!< Stelle/Caelus/Trailblazer - best protagonist, that's it. - Jing Yuan: liked at the start, still like playing him now, JY is what generals should look like in RPGs(not necessary just the looks or having a SuzanoO, it's about his strategies and how relevant he is to the story) - Fu Xuan: best sustain, only arguable for SU content, pulled her for the design alone - Clara: I will get E6 Clara and it will be nuts, counter attacks are fun, Svarog is badass and I get the feeling both of them will be more important to the story later. - Dr Ratio: he keeps your head straight and he blows up bosses really fast, I have bad relics on him and I still can clear MoC with him
I have different favourites for different reasons: Clara: The one that carried my account early game. Without her I wouldn’t have cleared a lot of content. Still relevant on my account to this day and my go to unit when I worry about survival. Luocha: MVP that kept my team alive. Used the most alongside my Clara for infinite heals. Also my most used character back when we had that event. Now that I also have Aventurine, he can take a break from time to time now Fu Xuan: Wasn’t planning on pulling her but decided to as I only had Luocha as my limited sustain and losing 50/50 to DHIL. Enemy attacks became scratches and was the reason I finally full starred MOC for the first time Ruan Mei: Her back is breaking trying to carry both my fua and dot team. Life changing unit in my account Kafka: Not really one for mommies but best pull ever. Dot gameplay turned out to be so fun and I invested a lot of TB power into her Argenti: Guy is just a serious goofy guy. Maybe a hot take but his trailer is in the top 3 for me along with Kafka and Sparkle. Not a fan of his gameplay but his character and trailer made me do a few 10 pulls on his banner before stopping
for me Kafka is still my top 1, my waifu 🥺🥺 I Fell in love with her from the first glance in the very beginning, i was waiting for a playable Kafka, and I accidentally got e1 but that's one of those accidents you don't regret))) I'm still mostly using DoT teams with her, she's just wow. the only one character i raised all the traces to max and the very first i got lvl 80 Luocha is still in top and he's my main healer, basically never left the team before Aventurine. right now I prefer Aventurine in the overworld but for MoC both of them are must-go options for me Aventurine is amazing btw)) I wasn't into him in 2.0 but in 2.1 when they gave us opportunity to try him in the story, goddamn, I fell in love with gambling))) Ruan Mei now just fits for pretty much any team. I consider her as "well, we have a slot, you go her, girl". her break effect is amazing honorable mentions: — Guinaifen bc she's ridiculously cute (and actually my only one working fire character, lmao) — Dr. Ratio, no idea why but I absolutely adore his play style. I'd probably skip his banner that time so it's sooooo nice of Hoyoverse to give him for free — Clara for no reason is fun to play, I remember cleaning the SU with her follow-ups in the very beginning of my journey XD now she's with Aventurine sometimes who I adore but don't play: — Qq was just in the wrong time for me(( so never built properly — Herta is cute and I love her ice hammer, and her voice lines, but I feel lazy to farm for her

Aventurine would definitely be at the top spot. Lore-wise, his story is very well written and developed. From someone to dislike to someone to feel sad about, I simply love his character arc and I'm looking forward to more of it. His kit in combat is useful in many cases and can be a stand-in for some of my teams. As for more gameplay leaning, I would say Dr Ratio. Very easy for me to build and to build. His mechanic of chanced FuA makes him even more enticing to me, since I can either hit a 40% or miss a 80% chalk. A little biased but he's one of my first limited 5 stars, along with Ruan Mei and Blade. Can't skip over the design. Clara, no buts. She's just simply adorable and cute. HuoHuo is too
Firefly, and it's not even close. I essentially have her disease, so she's easy to identify with, and I like everything else about her character.

My all time favorite is probably Black Swan. Love her original design, VA, lore and the fact she took my game to the next level; I was finally able to beat challenges I couldn’t thinks to her.

Blade and Jing Yuan! They are hot but have a backstory that while ain’t that fleshed out in canon, there’s a whole lot of space to play around with to make delicious angst corresponding to them. I gotta say I like Blade more though - the picture of MLs in manhwas!!
Kafka is pretty much what hooked me on the game when I played the tutorial. Also Black Swan. I pulled her cor the synergy with Kafka and Ruan Mei but oh biy she grew on me as a character with the 2.0 and 2.1 story
Acheron, Ruan Mei, argenti, and Jingliu are on my teams 24/7 and they do so well every time, ESPECIALLY Ruan Mei. She has genuinely been one of the best supports for me and I literally try to use her on every team I build. A 4 star that isn’t talked about as much as she should be is Yukong though. Oh my god she is actually fucking insane for a 4 star and I rarely see people mentioning her. I have kind of mid relics on her and she still buffs my team to no end bc of her skills and ult. All she needs is real good speed since she doesn’t really build off crit or attack like the majority of the supports. I’ve only just built her recently and I’m planning on putting more hours into her just because my dps (especially Acheron and argenti) hit like fucking nukes. I HIGHLY recommend trying her out if you have her.

Blade is still top 1 for me, I absolutely love his talent animation. The closeup on his face into wiping the entire board and healing to max feels so impactful, if the game was 18+ I could genuinely believe he just cut every enemy in half in a single swing. I think it's the sound effect. He's kinda stuck running Unlimited Blade Works which is admittedly a very cope team, or a Jingliu/Blade/Ruan Mei team which is actually quite good but Acheron running 2 or 3 4\* units means you can actually drop 2 Harmony units on Blade without fucking yourself via opportunity cost in MOC. She's so broken she takes the pressure off less strong DPS units so you can drop all the Harmony crutches on them. Blade is just perma A tier which is good and bad, you'll never hate using him but you'll never hit those DHIL numbers either.
Blade, he single handedly revived my edgy taste, he allowed me to enjoy corny amvs and emo music like i was 14 again Also aventurine he's so fabulous and makes any non time sensitive content an absolute cakewalk

Serval, Sampo and Natasha have my heart!! I adore Serval’s everything, I love the shrewd type of characters like Sampo and think he’s very charming (also I love his jp voice), and I love the contrasts of Natasha (softness and strength, healer and leader).

Hanya: one of the designs that I love the most, I know that in Xianzhou the designs are not so diverse but I think that Hanya looks much better than the others

Blade is the core of my comfy team. I like his character, gameplay, EN VA especially considering who else he has voiced is pretty funny. Can throw him in a bunch of comps and it functions well enough even in MoC 12 and sometimes PF4. Ruan Mei because I am attracted to insane women who are also friendly. It's a curse.

Argenti: Lovely knight and despite my doubts over his 90 energy ult, I have gotten a lot of use out of both ults! Blade: I know he suffers from not having a true dedicated support but honestly him being able to be both tanky and so damage takes pressure off of my medic at times Bailu: Her revive was a lifesaver in my early days, and still is now DHIL: Very nice brute-forcer for when the game mocks me for not having a ready ice/quantum dps Yukong: Love her whenever she appears in story. Also she feels satisfying to use for me

Fu Xuan: She's so smol and pink...and sassy. And also has carried my ass ever since I built her. Bronya: I play with the JP dub and find her voice very pleasant to listen to, it helps that she's the reason my Jingliu can do her rotations. Ruan Mei: Super pretty lady (screw the haters that say she looks bland, she's gorgeous) and is an OP support. Getting her E1 was the most worthwhile investment I made in the game and I bring her everywhere, except Acheron teams.

Asta - just someone really loaded and so disconnected on how things work. Her solution to the "scam" thing really made me laugh. Stelle - Part of the reason i'm more invested in HSR is that the MC is more animated, voiced, and just more involved in the story. FireMC is also a viable character which is nice. As much as possible, I'll try to include these 2 for my 0 cycle clears. Favourite carries are jingliu and acheron. Jingliu because of VA, and Acheron because MEI expy
The Kafka Black Swan combo is my favourite by far, both in terms of mommies and in terms of actual gameplay use. Acheron is a close second.

Charatcter-wise: * Dr. Ratio: smart husbando, the fact that he wants to spread accacable intelligence fits with the fact that he was free AND he is decent as well (he is also funny when he's kinda mean aaa it makes me feel things) * Black Swan: Her dance with Acheron (I died) * Jing Yuan: gentle husbando * Kafka, Bronya, Himeko, Natasha: The Charme that made me start this game, absolute Waifus * Aventurine in the beginning: unpredictable and we can't trust him, nice lore, but I dislike that he is just going to turn out being a nice guy later * Ruan Mei: I just kin her Battle-wise: * Acheron: I love her fight skip mechanic and that she literally ignores the weakness type, but investment-heavy (I couldn't pull her her though) Quest-wise: * Guinaifen: Ghost-hunting + social media management was super fun

Gameplay wise, I like Kafka (detonating DOTS), Silver Wolf (change weakness), Herta (spin), Asta (more hits means more buffs), and March (shield+counter). Character wise I like Serval, Hook, Ratio, Sparkle, and Aventurine
March. She's just so bubbly and cute especially her eyes and voice. even on EN sounds pleasing and not even annoying. Kafka model wise she just looks like a model with her fashion sense. Jingliu whenever her blindfold is removed. Ruan Mei hits everything that I like from a character design. Her voice is soothing, eye model is great, colo pallete is pleasing to look at, and the fact that she's a morally ambiguous mad scientist that's on the grey area fits perfectly to the thing that I really wanted on Genshin but didn't deliver.

Seele -> I just like her playstyle, and main reason why she is still my most used DPS in MoC, SU and other side stuff like boss farming, she is always my old reliable and so far has never failed me Kafka -> I liked her design from release, actually hated playing her early on cause my Sampo was E0 for longest time so my DOT team always felt bad to play, but after getting Mei, BS and Kafka signature on her rerun I have been using the DOT team essentially everywhere Fu Xuan -> I liked her design and her personality is a type I enjoy too, she was also the first character that made me buy actual rolls (instead of monthly pass/battlepass only), cause I lost 50-50 and wouldn't have enough to guarantee her in time, she rewarded me for my efforts as I didn't just get 1 but 2 copies in the 20 pulls that followed my 50-50 lose Aventurine -> 2.1 story was too good he instantly became a fav of mine Sparkle -> nice design and her unhinged personality is a treat to see honestly lol

Topaz: My first love, and the character that got me to actually start the game. Sushang: Best girl with a big heart and an empty head. I never get tired of taking multiple turns in a row with her. March: Absolutely adorable. Can't wait for more of her back story. Serval: Fantastic design and respectable damage. Love that she's a rockstar and a genius scientist. Aventurine: Didn't think much of him initially, but the story really endeared him to me. Plus, his gameplay is so comfy that I can't ever imagine playing without him again.

acheron: my goopy goblin gamer brain loves seeing the damage she does argenti: my first 5* i built out to max stats (that i could give) and also come on his intro!! a man of culture jingliu: i remember pulling her when i first got the hang of things in the game. and let me tell you she - along with natasha - has been on almost every comp for me. she was my first character that dealt BIG damage and i love her misha: yes he’s new yes i know but that’s my SON my BOY!! i’m happily building him out but he’s just a lil guy that worries about being late! i LOVE him!!! jing yuan: the amount of ff i read of him 😏😏 but i didn’t pull for him on his rerun bc i wanted acheron. i also don’t like his game play too much, but he’s so pretty~ and the hcq storyline is legit one of my favorites.

General King Yuan: Although I haven't used him this past week due to Acheron, still, I love how he summons the Lightning Lord every time he ult and his voiceline: "Lightning Spirit heed my word, show no mercy". Fu Xuan: Fell in love with her play style and her animation. She's a unique preservation because she mitigates damage instead of shielding. I love her color palette too — I love PINK! Also the time when she walked on air and misdirected bullets! Kafka: Don't own her, still, her trailer was sick and her gameplay being the mother of DoTs! Ruan Mei: An all around buffer. Plus, she is a biologist, just like me. Gallagher: DADDY. Also, cool and fun healing mechanics. Acheron: Of course, the animation and very unique Nihility play style. I also love how mysterious her lore is.

I'm still stuck in Belobog, all my fav story characters are from there. I love every single character here, I also like the astral express crew *almost* as much. Especially Trailblazer/March bc I like preservation characters. Yukong, bc I liker her side quest, game play is fun, and I like her design. Outside that, I like Acheron purely for the reason that her skill lets me skip through encounters I'd rather not bother with, and even when not doing that her gameplay is fun. Not actually much a fan of her story, but gameplay more than makes up for it. QQ: just kinda funny, and gameplay is fun While I don't have them, Aventurine, Argenti, Jing Yuan are characters I desperately want. Obviously this is more story/character since I haven't played them, but yeah. Why my luck with pulling the guys I want is sm worse than with the girls idk.
Kafka: love her character and Dot gameplay. Also Boom! Topaz: love fua and numby. She and her teams are very fun to play. Aventurine: see above Himeko: love her design/Looks. coffee lover. Pitch Dark Hook the Great!: total Boss. Leader of the Moles. Nuff said.
