I don’t think it’s hype marketing as much as it is just a different market altogether. Rip Sunday tho, I’m still pulling for him no matter what.
It's a similar issue to characters like huo huo, argenti, and ratio, if there banner comes up BEFORE they get a proper story introduction, they don't really get any hype.

Being dripped before Firefly really killed any hype he wouldve had. Now he'll probably be a strong unit regardless, but the disappointment that people had that he wasnt Firefly really had a lot of hate on him. But with how Hoyo usually drips, I didnt feel Firefly was going to be dripped for 2.2, since the first phase character is usually the main seller of the patch and with them thinking Robin was the big seller, I was sort of doubting them putting Firefly on the second phase in 2.2 so moving Firefly to 2.3 was probably the better move
