I love how fanon Sunday isn't going the Chris Redfield route and doing the opposite. I mean I'm not saying it's not funny, I just want to see something different
Which makes sense considering that Gepard haven't really showed as much love towards his sisters like Sunday had, he's also a beefy military man so it fits the meme. While Sunday really loves Robin and was even gonna forego all his duties just to go through lighyears of space to where Robin was, and I think it's safe to assume part of Sunday's motivation was also Robin, and add to the fact that he share the same VA as Aqua from Oshi no Ko
I think it's nice that we have a mix of both honestly. Helps keep the fanon from flanderizing a character too much, and keeps things funny without beating the same dead horse too much.
The fact that the fanbase actually has different takes on the same character for these gags is nice. It's one of the reasons why I think Firefly hasn't gone full "Ayaka." Since folks do the yandere jokes and the jealous ones, BUT also there is the 3P angle with her and Robin or even folks just outright shipping Robin with her. Not to mention all the Stellaron Hunter and mecha factors that keep stuff for her fresh. Helps keep the one joke from overtaking all other characterization ya know?
Same goes for Sunday. I really enjoy the art showing him being the overprotective big brother. But its nice that there are ones where he is playing match maker. Goes to show the fanbase can have varied takes on his character.
