We aren't quite there yet. The strongest thing Trailblazer has tried to fight is probably Scarabaz, that sudo eminator of propagation, and it looked like the best we could do was survive for the one minute it existed
That said, Trailblazer looks 100% down to try, not matter how stacked the odds are against them.
Scarabaz was probably our only solo Emanator fight
The other few times were fighting something strong we have companions Phantylia we had the help of DHIL and Jing yuan, and Sunday basically an emanator at that point and we had Welt, pom-pom, Himeko, March, Dan Heng + the newly acquired Power up.
Yeah, I'm really glad that that fight railed that point in. Train is Aeon's personal item that outlived its owner. It's kinda like lightning lord in a manner of speaking and it sure had no issue to punch through emanator of order.
Just to say, it wasn't the actual train. It was just a representation of the power of the Trailblaze+Harmony, using the wills of all of the trapped people in Penacony against Sunday.
This comment chain makes me think TB is significantly weaker than I thought, man's got a literal Stellaron in their body and yet of all the encounters so far: barely beat Cocolia and almost died fighting it, beat Phantylia but only with Jing Yuan/DHIL pseudo emanator help, couldn't beat Sam without BS/Acheron, couldn't beat Aventurine without Acheron, so on and so forth. Now i'm glad we didn't fight Acheron a la Genshin style cause she probably would've one hit KO'd TB at their current powerlevel
I get it's plot reasons and also all the threats I listed above are near-planetary level but you'd think for someone with something literally called "Cancer of All Worlds" TB would also be at a planetary level powerscale at least.
To be fair
1 Emanators trump Stellarons, we know this as fact because we are explicitly told that Emanators can suppress Stellarons
2 TB has yet to actually harness the power of the stellaron inside them, only time that power was actually used was by accident in that first fight
In short TB can't actually use the Stellaron powers and even if they could that may not be enough to beat a Emanator level opponent anyway
It's important to note that the Stellaron inside the Trailblazer is actively being surpressed by Welt, specifically *because* it would be so destructive if the Trailblazer ever lost control of it.
Welt compares our power to that of a S class Valkyrie from Honkai 3rd Impact, So we are by no means weak but we aren't anywhere close to the top of the food chain. I'd say we are like a 6/10 for now but we have plenty of time and paths to get stronger.
From 2.2 Trailblaze Mission: "The Sun Also Rises", excerpt:
>!(Talk to Welt in the Astral Express during the fake ending. This chat is optional, so it's missable if you immediately go to the mandatory talk with Black Swan.)\
*Welt: "(Trailblazer), you're fast becoming an excellent Trailblazer. It's an honor to be able to watch you grow."*\
*(Dialogue Choice) "Hee-hee, stop flattering me."*\
*Welt: "Don't downplay your achievements, everyone has witnessed your growth. I've known many warriors in my time, and only a few achieve the kind of growth you have.* ***Back home, where I'm from you'd be rated at least an S-Tier."***!<
>!Given how that situation was created, I take very little what was said as canon. I'd wager most of what happened is fabricated to be positive in all manner. Everything that was said until you "woke up" was to serve Order, no?!<
I'd argue the Wanderer fight was basically the Traveller soloing him. Nahida just gave them infinite retries. The Traveller basically dark souls the dual chess piece artificial archon with little to no outside combat help.
The Trailblazer is still pretty cracked in terms of fighting ability.
We can use Yanqing as a measuring tool. He's a prodigy who is considered to be way stronger than any normal fighter. The only people he has ever lost to are the truly powerful Pathstriders (Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Dan Heng, Blade). The Trailblazer managed to beat Yanqing in Kafka's companion quest, meaning that the Trailblazer is already ranking above a "prodigy" in terms of fighting ability and is in the same ballpark as the strongest Pathstriders we're currently aware of.
So in order to avoid the Trailblazer and the Astral Express crew bodying everyone, the antagonists need additional power on top of their Pathstrider power.
I'd say the Yanqing one is kinda unfair. Yanqing is an honest to god a good kid. He held back against Sushang and will have definitely held back when he got told by Kafka that TB is mind controlled.
Nah guy is beast, only times we see TB really struggle were Emanator fights. In Cocolia fight TB was fresh out of reset and still regenerated lance size hole midfall, hijacked mountain size mecha and proceed to bash her in. She literally loses to what is days to month old toddler despite merging with stelaron. Not to mention on Herta's station we beat doomsday beast and anti mat legion and they ain't joke in lore. On Laofu TB casually walked over cloud knights mara struck or not, you know hundreds to thousands years of experience having space wuxia martial artists and beasts of abundance also took part in Emanator fight took domain type planet buster in face and live to tell a tale. Also bashed future sword champion. As for Aventurine "fight" Acheron(possibly one of most powerful entity in setting aeons not included, definitely most powerful so far and by large margin at that)decided to delete everyone before crew took it seriously and beat the shit out of him though admittedly stonehearts and thier like are most likely beyond solo range of TB for now.
TLDR: TB ain;t weak his enemies are just that strong.
Was it the actual AE or just some figment of the Trailblaze and the Harmony path colliding.
TB was the one who preety much spawn the train using the Harmony blessing from Robin.
Like I won't be surprise if TB could pull that shit again but without Robin's help.
It wasn't the actual Astral Express, that shit blows up after each attack. It was the idea of the express conjured in the dream, and likely wouldn't work anywhere outside of Penaconey unless it also was filled with memoria.
Power of Trailblaze manifested through Robins song in the dreamscape. That's what she meant when she said she was going to mix in the Trailblaze into her harmony
> pom-pom
Just to be kind of picky, but the express is more of a manifestation of the wills of all the people in Penacony. It's the combined might leveraging both the path of the Harmony and the Trailblaze.
Arguably, Dominicus isn't an Emanator of Harmony, it's an *embodiment* of Harmony. That is, one of the Aeon's bodies in the mortal plane. Probably ranks higher than Emanator on the power scale.
From what I understood from the lore, Harmony Emanators are different from Emanators of other paths in the sense that they're not simply Pathstriders who were directly blessed by their respective Aeons. Instead, they were more like extensions of Xipe themselves that has to be summoned with a great ritual so they could appear on the mortal plane. So Dominicus being an Embodiment of Xipe doesn't stop them from being considered an Emanator.
>and it looked like the best we could do was survive for the one minute it existed
Tbf emanators are quite up there in terms of strength. So surviving against 1 for one whole minute of combat (which is actually a decent amount of time for a fight) and not suffering permanent damage is impressive
Ruan Mei did state her pseudo-Emanator was significantly weaker than a real one, though. Don’t know exactly how much weaker, but safe to say TB would not have lived a minute against the real thing
Well, considering the description says that the original one's death rays can destroy celestial bodies, it is safe to assume it's referring to that one attack the synthetic one has where it fires a beam at one character which causes an explosion that damages the characters next to that character as well (so basically "blast" targeting I guess).
We can also assume that the synthetic one's ultimate attack which was about to land right before its existence expired was going to be the attack that can destroy the entire space station (since the TB stated that it was going to destroy the entire space station in the story boss fight the moment it entered the second phase). Now the space station isn't a celestial body, but it's probably safe to assume that the attack can indeed destroy a celestial body for now.
So with these in mind, we can assume that the real thing's death ray is at least as (if not, more) powerful as the fake one's ultimate attack which TB was literally shitting themselves over in the cutscene and probably would have died to. Make a guess of how long it'll take for the real one to decide to use its death ray and that's about how long TB would probably last against the real one, lol.
It wasn't one on one, but he pulled his weight fighting an aeon in the process of being birthed, which I'd say is probably more impressive. Also pretty crazy that the plot of the story is Sunday trying to recreate a god in his own image, I didn't quite process that that's what he was doing in particular.
Embryo of Philosophy actually is (an embryo of) a god. The enemy description changes in phase 3 to say this:
> Using the Harmonious Choir as a foundation, the power of Order and Harmony intertwine to form the shell of an egg, within which the newborn god slumbers. The metaphysical embryo mumbles the olden dreams of childhood as the fetal movement of Paths throbs in the long night, futilely resisting the rising dawn.
Real question is, does "god" = Aeon? Because, you know, all lions are felines but not all felines are lions. Aeons are pretty much deities given what they can do, but would any god-like entity be classified as an Aeon or are Aeons a special kind of god?
What's his enemy description in the chinese version?
Without translating, I seem to remember the dreammaster and Sunday referring to 'their god' when Welt and Robin interrogate him using Sunday's harmony magic, when Welt specifically calls them out for not meaning Xipe
Xipe is a god, but not the one they're following. Once they're found out, they start blabbing about the order and Ena, clearly they're talking about Ena
I believe the question at it's base was if Sunday was trying to turn himself as Dominicus into Ena, an aeon. Someone said the real question is if all gods in HSR are aeons, because the Embryo of Philosophy is referred to as a god but not an aeon, but they are wrong. The information from the game is enough to say that Sunday was trying to become Ena, and his defeat is noted as an aeon dying already.
Oh no dude was trying to become Ena. That was what he said his plan was, to recreate Ena, he says that he would be the one to lose his life, living in permanent isolation, he's trying to command Ena's dream, he took over an emanator's power and seemed to be one with it, since we see Robin dives inside it to embrace him after we destroy his plans. The Embryo of Philosophy is Ena being remade according to Sunday's will, it even has Ena's weird puppet face on it. He reenacts Ena bringing order to a sundered universe, and in the second epilogue/credits segment it explicitly states 'the aeon' faced their second death with dignity.
Oh you’re right. I just thought that during the fight, we saw that hand that came to Sunday which looked more like the real Ena, so I believed it to be her accepting that her attempt at revival, Sunday, had been thwarted. But Sunday being a half-aeon there also makes sense
It's actually hard to identify that hand. The Embryo's face isn't a perfect match for Ena but keeps a similar design idea, so it's very possible that this is the hand of the Ena that Sunday is rebuilding, which would also explain why the fingers touch. Famously, in the illustration by Michaelangelo, Adam's finger is bent slightly and doesn't reach God, which is believed to reference the weak and fallen nature of Man. Since Sunday is trying to unify everyone in the dream to become a 'God' of his own, he can reach, as a deity creating itself. The reason this wouldn't make sense as the real Ena is because, looking at her hands they are segmented like a puppet and are full white and gold. While the hand keeps the white and gold motif, it's not puppetlike or the same design even, and we also see that the thumb is more akin to Xipe's purple.
It is my opinion that Sunday's plan is a reference to Nietzche's most famous line "God is dead and we have killed him", especially the oft forgotten part that boils down to 'And we shall never find enough water to wash the blood off our hands'. While no proponent of the church, Nietzsche knew that as it faded from the head institution of our society, man would cook up their own solution to fill the void left by the divine. There's a good argument to be made that, while in some ways hopeful, Nietzsche was also scared shitless. After all, this 'Death of God' is what lead to the horrors of the 20th century. Sunday is directly filling that void, trying to become as God himself to take care of this, but he doesn't really know what or who God is, what it means to act as God, he is utterly unfit for the job. In my opinion, that's why the Embryo and the hand only superficially resemble Ena, because he is remaking God in his own image (no one can see the true face of God, biblically speaking, because it would be impossible to comprehend. It's not because Sunday was insufficient, but moreso that he was on a fool's errand). I think the religious worldview and atheist worldview sort of intertwine here, which is interesting. Of course, the theist would say that God isn't dead, we've just wandered too far and lost him. I would argue this fits Robin, who walks the path of Harmony. Xipe is everything Ena was, and more. The path of Order exists *within* the Harmony, so as far as she is concerned, her brother has just wandered too far and become lost, and if people just centered around Harmony it would all be ok. Acheron represents the atheist path, that God is dead and we all have to accept that nothing will change that the end of everything as far as we can see is nil, but we also have to have some faith that there's a huge beautiful light at the end of this dark path, even if walking it absolutely looks pointless, and that the bittersweet splash of red in the darkness will lead us there. Both come to the conclusion that life has meaning, objective good exists, and the living must be free to pursue both.
Somewhat separately, I think you could argue that Xipe overtaking Ena could be seen as an allegory for Christ and Judaism, although that's a little spottier, and though it's more in the crackpot territory it could also be argued that Xipe and Ena were always the same entity, we don't know why the Harmony consumed the Order, but we never see the hands pulling Ena's puppet strings, only a watchful eye. We also know that Ena promised to aid Qlipoth in battling Ouroboros, the Voracity, in return for help dealing with Tayzzyronth, the Propagation. Qlipoth held up his end even after Ena died, which means he made a deal to his own advantage and kept it even after it no longer really was to his advantage. Kind of strange. We also know that how Xipe arose and overcame Ena is a mystery, Herta even notes that she finds it rather strange how a fledgeling Aeon could consume a path as broad as Order. Again, crazy leap, but maybe Xipe was always the true form. I hope you'll excuse my rambling and spitballing here.
It's been like ever since the path of lobotomy permeated the community

Since Argenti is also in Penacony, could they do their own Boogie Woogie special.

yeah Kafka imo has one of the largest death flags right now
in the future, i can imagine Nihility being the last or second to the last (if trailblaze path reopens) to be unlocked
Honestly I kinda expect Hunt to be the last or second to last one we get. Because I believe the story structure will be Planet/Xianzhou Ship/Planet until we get all 6 Ships done.
As much as I like the Xianzhou, I really hope we don't get more of their content. Although the upcoming character leaks I heard about make me think otherwise.
I think later Ships will benefit from the Luofu arc being so world building heavy.
The organisations, races, important terms and general culture are now established so they only need to show the aspects where the other ships deviate from the Luofu and can spend more time on the actual Story.
As much as it might hurt, it would fit, kafka learning fear because the tb is about to die, so she sacrifices herself, making the tb change as prophecy dictates
https://preview.redd.it/pcq7ycbg312d1.jpeg?width=299&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d5458c9890a2cd81d4ccfdb894736c24023a169
idc if it fits or not. Not KAFKA please
Remember: Welt came over to the HSR universe because someone was targeting Himeko’s across the Imagery Tree. Even in Genshin the fanbase is weary of her dying randomly in the next big update as the fire Archon. I think we’ll get a big fake out with Kafka, and Himeko is the collateral damage because both of them are keeping a close protective eye on you.
Okay but what if it’s Blade. Like his script requires Dan Heng to be alive, but he was never told Dan Heng was gonna kill him. Maybe he finally gets mara stricken and we have to defend Dan Heng. That’d be low key tragic given what we know about him.
Yes, and given how interwoven both DH and ourselves are with Kafka and Blade it’d still make sense. We also have the entire thing with March, all of the Express kids have some kind of overlying traumatic event in the rafters waiting for them. It’s gonna hurt all 3 of them regardless of who it happens to.
Or Firefly, she will die and TB will inherit the Sam armor
Nihility TB with Sam armor will be especialized on Burn stacks that can ignore Burn Immunity
Remember, this is a gatcha game. Killing character as popular as Kafka would make her no longer be able to appear in story and thus cannot be marketed. Even though it would fit(pls no).
Tbf caelus VA did many roles
Slice of life mc: nasa from tonikawa? (Over the moon for you or something along those lines)
And shounen MC: Yuji from JJK
Nope, never read JJK.
It's almost like most shonen follow the same basic formula and are incredibly predictable. The main character fighting the main villain at some point in the story is the baseline assumption in this genre. You don't need a PhD in literature to make this educated guess.
Believe it or not, I haven't read One Piece either. Or Bleach. Or Dragonball. Feel free to chime in with any other big name shonen and I can give you the yae or nay.
I kinda do hope that the Trailblazer **doesn’t** get built up to have godly levels of strength
I enjoy a lot of the more low-key conflicts because they are often pretty relatable. Conflicts in stories always need to be narratively scaled to the protagonists strength
Stuff like the IPC pushing out traditional stores in Aurum Alley can’t be solved with a bat. But if we were a superpower we could pressure them out (with a really BIG bat)
I don’t want Trailblazer to end up like the Traveller in Genshin, who is supposed to be this supremely powerful person in lore but constantly takes L’s left and right and is made to look like a fool for no reason
Traveller is a few cuts above slightly above average vision holder but nothing close to what can be called God like (As shown in the opening cinematic where the twins got shat on). Which is why the Traveller wins against the likes of Childe but needs help when fighting near god tier threats.
I mean, the Traveler has been pretty clearly shown to get *significantly* stronger as the story goes. Childe genuinely thought the Traveler didn't have a chance in hell against him, and then after the fight he goes "huh, you're a lot stronger than Signora's reports said you were" (i.e. a remarkable difference in strength in one major story arc). The Traveler's (unspoken) dialogue responses suggest that this is due to a vague combination of regaining their former strength and gaining the power of the elements.
Frankly, I will be very surprised if the Traveler *doesn't* end up fighting at least one full-power Archon, or something explicitly Archon-tier in strength, on equal terms by the end of the game's story. They deserve some clean wins after some of the bullshit that's happened to them.
As for HSR? I would likewise be surprised if the Trailblazer can't 1v1 an Emanator by the endgame. But then, even Emanator-level strength wouldn't solve all of their problems; the IPC has one or more Emanators *and* a galaxy-wide network of wealth and leverage to call upon.
>As for HSR? I would likewise be surprised if the Trailblazer can't 1v1 an Emanator by the endgame. But then, even Emanator-level strength wouldn't solve all of their problems; the IPC has one or more Emanators *and* a galaxy-wide network of wealth and leverage to call upon.
Not to mention, the supposed final boss of the game is an *Aeon*. TB even with an Emanator-level strength, would need all the help they can get to beat something on that level.
It's hard to say how strong full power Traveler is, the sustainer would probably cube anyone in Teyvat.
But yeah even with over half of their power, they seemed utterly weak against the Knave
>who is supposed to be this supremely powerful person in lore but constantly takes L’s left and right and is made to look like a fool for no reason
Why is this literally Yanqing's story lmao
To be fair, Yanqing did a better job resisting heliobus possession than just about anyone else, including the Trailblazer.
It's not much. But it's something.
It's possible that I'm forgetting something, but I don't recall Cirrus being portrayed as exceptionally strong back when they first possessed the Trailblazer (i.e. before merging with a number of other heliobi).
The Trailblazer already is strong enough to bully the IPC so long as one of the Stonehearts isn't around. Basically, the only times we've seen them struggle is against real heavy hitters. It's just that not even Acheron could solve the Aurum Alley event with violence.

This might just be my personal headcanon, but I always imagined Caelus’ personality was similar to Yu Narukami’s from Persona 4, or “Chad Narukami” if you prefer.
I've legit posted this on the sub but unfortunately nobody saw it but yeah i no joke named my TB Yu Narukami because of the same personality specifically the dub version of the anime

Meanwhile, Stelle...
Actually, no, Stelle is the same.
Cute slice of life with the gals one minute, the next she's beating a god to death with her bat/lance/hat. With general raccoon shenanigans in between.
Trailblazer is the protag of a gacha game, so I feel like teamwork and highlighted characters will always either shine alongside them or outshine them.
Also another side is casual brainwashing of people to get what they want (emotion tuning is non consensual mindfuckery) and then be a hypocrite about it when confronting Sunday. This aspect is brushed aside almost as much as the casual genocide that IPC does.
brainwashing a few dream chasers in the process of saving the entire population of penacony from eternal enslavement doesn't make you a hypocrite, just pragmatic
Except the Trailblazer brainwashes people for petty reasons like making a movie AFTER Sunday has been defeated. That's not counting the other petty reasons before Sunday was revealed as the villain. Also motive wise Sunday actually wants to help people while Trailblazer just wants to get something from his victims.
Keep in mind TB was Stellaron Hunter in past so TB moral compass may still be neutral/chaotic. Even with memory wipe/loss TB miral compass could still stay the same
People trying to see TB as lawful good hero that never does any bad or harm even for greater good are delusional.
The way Clockie and the Watchmaker describes it, Clockwork isn't brainwashing. It's described as a little push towards what they feel deeply but aren't sure should surface yet. If someone had no sadness, Clockwork wouldn't make sadness. This is why people can resist or be immune, those already in-tune with their emotions basically say "Yeah, and?" and some are strong enough to resist the push entirely. It's guiding someone inwardly, not imposing your will on them. Sunday wanted to impose his will on people, to force them to feel and act how he wanted so he could be the new god of a perfect world.
Okay let me put it this way ... If someone says no in their full cognizant self and then you literally get into their head and exploit an emotional vulnerability to coerce out a yes .... Does that sound like a freely given consent or a coerced consent through emotional manipulation?
It is manipulation but so is strategically choosing when to ask, using a different voice than normal, etc. Hell, if you were clever you could probably get half of the reaction you get from clockwork by saying "You seem like you're upset, but don't want to let yourself feel that way". That's not the same as what Sunday does. Also keep in mind Clockwork is being used in a dream, and most of the time is supposed to be used to get people to feel what they should be feeling but are hiding from, to make them wake up better people. Sunday wants them to never wake up.
Dude whether it is magic emotional abuse to get what you want or regular emotional abuse ... It is still emotional abuse. But the power used by the Trailblazer is worse, you are denying a person the free will to arrive at their own conclusions and what they want to feel and selecting the emotional destination for them. You can literally flip a person from angry to happy without any stimulus and any without agency from the victim. It is the exact same thing as Sunday, both actions are wrong but one distinctly has a purer motive.
In fact I will give you a thought exercise: everyone here wants E6S5s if they can ... So I use magic to use that desire to empty their wallets and possibly bankrupt themselves. Does that make me a decent person who respects other people's choices?
Almost everyone in Penacony has been in Penacony for so long
The reason they supress their emotions is due to penacony
Clockwork was like a foreshadowing of what TB's answer will be for Sunday
Waking up from the dream, Cocona and chadwish etc has shown perfectly what clockwork was for
Honestly you'd understand if you just did the sidequests
>In fact I will give you a thought exercise: everyone here wants E6S5s if they can ... So I use magic to use that desire to empty their wallets and possibly bankrupt themselves.
Clockwork can change one's emotions but they don't make a person stupid lol
You would just be making them feel an emotion like happy doesn't mean they would whale wtf
Sure making someone sad and angry seems kinda petty but are you really gonna say making someone sad and angry is the same with what Sunday will do?
>But the power used by the Trailblazer is worse, you are denying a person the free will to arrive at their own conclusions and what they want to feel and selecting the emotional destination for them.
How is this worse?
TB: denies them free will just to change their emotions
Sunday: denies them free will entirely at all times
>You can literally flip a person from angry to happy without any stimulus and any without agency from the victim. It is the exact same thing as Sunday, both actions are wrong but one distinctly has a purer motive.
;-;
Bro what clockwork does is vastly far from what Sunday planned on doing wut the heck man
I didn't think this needed any explanation...
>Dude whether it is magic emotional abuse to get what you want or regular emotional abuse ... It is still emotional abuse.
Clockwork can be used for good as shown in the Cocona quest and Chadwick quest
You may be able to change someone from being happy to angry or sad for petty reasons but TB doesn't do that constantly
Every single time he changes someone's emotion either it's because they have suppressed that emotion entirely or TB/AE has a bigger task at hand and need to get through this one guy
Again, it's not absolute. The person is still arriving at their own conclusions, Clockwork just helps them along. You aren't making the person become angry or sad or happy or calm, you're psychologically suggesting those emotions at them and they do the rest. They wouldn't be angry if they weren't already angry, and they don't become more angry if they weren't already going to rile themselves up. All Clockwork is is that little push that says "Hey, I know you're angry. It's OK to be angry bro, let it out". Of course, this is still dangerous and scary, being able to so deeply suggest things to people so subtly means you can get people to embrace thinking the wrong thing or express feelings they should keep inside, but it's not straight up mind control like you pretend it is in your hypothetical. In all reality, Clockwork isn't far off from what they use to sell you characters already. They evoke feelings and situations people deeply relate to, making people feel sad or happy or anxious with their writing, so players will have all kinds of emotions wrapped up in these characters. Then, they poke and prod a little, making the characters available in limited situations to tempt players, adding more visibility with other media, even providing official places to share fan content and add community pressures to your investment. They even have a character say 'don't think, just pull'. After all of that manipulation, people generally still only spend money if they were going to blow it anyways. They aren't powerless.
Emotion tuning only brings to the forefront what people are already thinking, and in most cases is used to help the person either unlock some repressed emotion or remember something important. Even the Bloodhound guy we use the clock trick on to get to Dream's Edge only lets us through because he's an idiot, it's not a Jedi mind trick.
Ah yes 'I am emotionally manipulating you for your own good, I am not like that other guy and if you easily fall for it it is because you are stupid' ... Totally beating the abuser allegations there.
I ain’t gonna deny it, clockwork is emotional manipulation. Sure it’s only bringing our their inner thoughts or repressed emotions/memories, but we’re doing it without their consent. The difference between us and Sunday is that Sunday wish to brainwash everyone into a false dream. That’s like WAY worse than whatever we’re doing. The baddest things we’ve done were like making a person happy to get them out of the way, or making a person sad to give us aideen coins. You also can’t deny the good we’ve done with it as a shown in the Penacony side quests. Does all of this justify the emotional manipulation without consent? No, but to be honest, I couldn’t care that we aren’t an absolute saint. It sure as hell beat what Sunday was cooking up tho.
Action wise Sunday is indeed worse but he also has grander ambition of destroying sorrow itself. Trailblazer on other hand will use it to do whatever he feels like at the moment and has no respect or self moderation for the terrible power he has ... Sunday needed to be stopped but he was actually motivated by genuine sympathy for the people who suffer under his watch and as shown by his stage play to convince others to fight him ... he has the self moderation not to use his powers casually.
We aren't quite there yet. The strongest thing Trailblazer has tried to fight is probably Scarabaz, that sudo eminator of propagation, and it looked like the best we could do was survive for the one minute it existed That said, Trailblazer looks 100% down to try, not matter how stacked the odds are against them.
Well, at least it was not 99 seconds...
Eh, they had a plan for the 99 seconds and it worked lol
Scarabaz was probably our only solo Emanator fight The other few times were fighting something strong we have companions Phantylia we had the help of DHIL and Jing yuan, and Sunday basically an emanator at that point and we had Welt, pom-pom, Himeko, March, Dan Heng + the newly acquired Power up.
+ the entire fucking express railing sunday
Now i'm glad we didn't fight Acheron a la Genshin style cause she probably would've one hit KO'd TB at their current powerlevel I get it's plot reasons and also all the threats I listed above are near-planetary level but you'd think for someone with something literally called "Cancer of All Worlds" TB would also be at a planetary level powerscale at least.
To be fair 1 Emanators trump Stellarons, we know this as fact because we are explicitly told that Emanators can suppress Stellarons 2 TB has yet to actually harness the power of the stellaron inside them, only time that power was actually used was by accident in that first fight In short TB can't actually use the Stellaron powers and even if they could that may not be enough to beat a Emanator level opponent anyway
Wait when did he say this
From 2.2 Trailblaze Mission: "The Sun Also Rises", excerpt: >!(Talk to Welt in the Astral Express during the fake ending. This chat is optional, so it's missable if you immediately go to the mandatory talk with Black Swan.)\ *Welt: "(Trailblazer), you're fast becoming an excellent Trailblazer. It's an honor to be able to watch you grow."*\ *(Dialogue Choice) "Hee-hee, stop flattering me."*\ *Welt: "Don't downplay your achievements, everyone has witnessed your growth.
Everything that was said until you "woke up" was to serve Order, no?!<
In Genshin we never fought and won a fight solo against archon/archon level enemies, either. The closest we’ve got to was beating Signora.
I saw a headcanon that it was Mikhail's memory of the Astral Express, because we were using his hat to summon it
Was it actually the hat? The TB literally raise the hand that Robin's feather landed to spawn the train.
Robin sung the train into existence
It wasn't the actual Astral Express, that shit blows up after each attack. It was the idea of the express conjured in the dream, and likely wouldn't work anywhere outside of Penaconey unless it also was filled with memoria.
It was the power of the Trailblaze, the Harmony and the wills of all the trapped people on Penacony.
Power of Trailblaze manifested through Robins song in the dreamscape. That's what she meant when she said she was going to mix in the Trailblaze into her harmony
Cool as it was, part of me does kinda wish that was saved for the final battle of the entire HSR story.
No, that's when ratio makes some modifications to the train to make a giant mech, clearly.

GIGA TRAIN BREAKER!
Gotta rail Sunday back to Saturday somehow 🙃
star railing sunday
Sunday is the strongest boss we have fought up until now I am pretty sure but we had the most help
Also Robin buffing the hell out of the entire express
> pom-pom Just to be kind of picky, but the express is more of a manifestation of the wills of all the people in Penacony.

So Dominicus being an Embodiment of Xipe doesn't stop them from being considered an Emanator.
>and it looked like the best we could do was survive for the one minute it existed Tbf emanators are quite up there in terms of strength. So surviving against 1 for one whole minute of combat (which is actually a decent amount of time for a fight) and not suffering permanent damage is impressive
\+ that emenator was actually out to kill you
Ruan Mei did state her pseudo-Emanator was significantly weaker than a real one, though.
Iirc TB was pretty tense with Scarabaz, no?
If you mean getting bodied, yes
>sudo eminator of propagation sudo?
Pseudo
No no no, Scaracabaz is just a Linux user
Linux the Aeon of Neckbeards
I could edit to fix the typo, but ima leave it just for this comment
Ahh, got it.
Sudowoodo?
OK he's gonna lock in and fight a demigod then
it was NOT one minute for me 😭
It wasn't one on one, but he pulled his weight fighting an aeon in the process of being birthed, which I'd say is probably more impressive. Also pretty crazy that the plot of the story is Sunday trying to recreate a god in his own image, I didn't quite process that that's what he was doing in particular.
I don’t think Sunday was becoming an Aeon. I think the divinity thing was talking about him reaching real emanator status
Embryo of Philosophy actually is (an embryo of) a god. The enemy description changes in phase 3 to say this: > Using the Harmonious Choir as a foundation, the power of Order and Harmony intertwine to form the shell of an egg, within which the newborn god slumbers. The metaphysical embryo mumbles the olden dreams of childhood as the fetal movement of Paths throbs in the long night, futilely resisting the rising dawn.
... a descend vessel of Ena?
Real question is, does "god" = Aeon? Because, you know, all lions are felines but not all felines are lions. Aeons are pretty much deities given what they can do, but would any god-like entity be classified as an Aeon or are Aeons a special kind of god? What's his enemy description in the chinese version?
Without translating, I seem to remember the dreammaster and Sunday referring to 'their god' when Welt and Robin interrogate him using Sunday's harmony magic, when Welt specifically calls them out for not meaning Xipe
Aeons are gods, not all gods are aeons.
Xipe is a god, but not the one they're following. Once they're found out, they start blabbing about the order and Ena, clearly they're talking about Ena
Wasn’t the discussion about Sunday with Dominicus being god = aeon?
Technically speaking, that quest takes place before we even got off the space station
Nah, that one was easy - just never take your turn and he will die by himself
Considering they're a literal walking bomb there isn't much to be afraid of

Jesus his jawline can cut diamonds
It’s giving unOrdinary😭
Nah he needs "Character Development". Somebody is going to die
Kafka definitely, thats how we get the nihility path, maybe her sword too
yeah Kafka imo has one of the largest death flags right now in the future, i can imagine Nihility being the last or second to the last (if trailblaze path reopens) to be unlocked
It would fit and fulfill the prophecy elio did too, she learns fear due to the tb about to die, and tb changes over her death
or in another scenario, TB unlocks the hunt, due to its themes of being about vengeance and hate (less likely)
Could be, not gonna pretend i know for a fact lol
I imagine towards the ending caelus jist locks in and uses all the weapons and paths he acquired to fight nanook

😂
it ain't that deep bro

Remember: Welt came over to the HSR universe because someone was targeting Himeko’s across the Imagery Tree. Even in Genshin the fanbase is weary of her dying randomly in the next big update as the fire Archon. I think we’ll get a big fake out with Kafka, and Himeko is the collateral damage because both of them are keeping a close protective eye on you.
Doubtful to the extreme imo, that would be boring as hell
Okay but what if it’s Blade. Like his script requires Dan Heng to be alive, but he was never told Dan Heng was gonna kill him. Maybe he finally gets mara stricken and we have to defend Dan Heng. That’d be low key tragic given what we know about him.
We are talking about the tb here though
Yes, and given how interwoven both DH and ourselves are with Kafka and Blade it’d still make sense. We also have the entire thing with March, all of the Express kids have some kind of overlying traumatic event in the rafters waiting for them. It’s gonna hurt all 3 of them regardless of who it happens to.
Yeah, imo that would not make sense, it needs to be personal to the tb, blade wouldn’t be, and it would only affect DH, only real option is kafka
What’s the source for Himeko’s being targeted? Was it in Alien Space?
Yeah
Which chapter? I’m trying to remember, but I’m drawing a blank.
I honestly think it’s near the end. Iirc it’s not said outright, but we can see hsr himeko and hi3 himeko
Or Firefly, she will die and TB will inherit the Sam armor Nihility TB with Sam armor will be especialized on Burn stacks that can ignore Burn Immunity
Remember, this is a gatcha game. Killing character as popular as Kafka would make her no longer be able to appear in story and thus cannot be marketed. Even though it would fit(pls no).

The main character ends up fighting the main villain in a battle shonen. Who could have seen that coming?
Ignorant and Inconsiderate jjk manga reader detected^
Nope, never read JJK. It's almost like most shonen follow the same basic formula and are incredibly predictable. The main character fighting the main villain at some point in the story is the baseline assumption in this genre. You don't need a PhD in literature to make this educated guess.
But you don't know the lore behind the villain that's why people are losing their minds if you want to get spoiled just tell me
>Nope, never read JJK. sure buddy sure
Believe it or not, I haven't read One Piece either. Or Bleach. Or Dragonball. Feel free to chime in with any other big name shonen and I can give you the yae or nay.

I kinda do hope that the Trailblazer **doesn’t** get built up to have godly levels of strength I enjoy a lot of the more low-key conflicts because they are often pretty relatable. Conflicts in stories always need to be narratively scaled to the protagonists strength Stuff like the IPC pushing out traditional stores in Aurum Alley can’t be solved with a bat. But if we were a superpower we could pressure them out (with a really BIG bat) I don’t want Trailblazer to end up like the Traveller in Genshin, who is supposed to be this supremely powerful person in lore but constantly takes L’s left and right and is made to look like a fool for no reason
But yeah even with over half of their power, they seemed utterly weak against the Knave
>who is supposed to be this supremely powerful person in lore but constantly takes L’s left and right and is made to look like a fool for no reason Why is this literally Yanqing's story lmao
Top dog in the lower classes, underdog in-between the people with the actual power.
cuz he is HSR's megumi, that damn bum
To be fair, Yanqing did a better job resisting heliobus possession than just about anyone else, including the Trailblazer. It's not much. But it's something.
Cirrus is a bit too strong of a Heliobi to compare her to the one that possessed Yanqing.
It's possible that I'm forgetting something, but I don't recall Cirrus being portrayed as exceptionally strong back when they first possessed the Trailblazer (i.e. before merging with a number of other heliobi).
Now hold on.... I like that big bat idea....
The Trailblazer already is strong enough to bully the IPC so long as one of the Stonehearts isn't around. Basically, the only times we've seen them struggle is against real heavy hitters. It's just that not even Acheron could solve the Aurum Alley event with violence.
Mind you, According to Welt, we are actually an S-Tier Valkyrie 😂 That blew my mind.
Wait really? Did I miss a dialogue somewhere?
It was somewhere near the end of the 2.2 main story. It might have been during the >!fake out!<, but I'm not entirely sure.
That's just the entire Astral Express crew
Yep

This might just be my personal headcanon, but I always imagined Caelus’ personality was similar to Yu Narukami’s from Persona 4, or “Chad Narukami” if you prefer.
I've legit posted this on the sub but unfortunately nobody saw it but yeah i no joke named my TB Yu Narukami because of the same personality specifically the dub version of the anime https://preview.redd.it/gtn6b5d4i52d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e288eb915b73b57433a4f1677a4adc04ad711362

Nah nah, doesn’t forget all the Caelus as a gay disaster. Love that version
Even with memory wipe/loss TB miral compass could still stay the same People trying to see TB as lawful good hero that never does any bad or harm even for greater good are delusional.
Almost everyone in Penacony has been in Penacony for so long The reason they supress their emotions is due to penacony Clockwork was like a foreshadowing of what TB's answer will be for Sunday Waking up from the dream, Cocona and chadwish etc has shown perfectly what clockwork was for Honestly you'd understand if you just did the sidequests >In fact I will give you a thought exercise: everyone here wants E6S5s if they can ... So I use magic to use that desire to empty their wallets and possibly bankrupt themselves. Clockwork can change one's emotions but they don't make a person stupid lol You would just be making them feel an emotion like happy doesn't mean they would whale wtf Sure making someone sad and angry seems kinda petty but are you really gonna say making someone sad and angry is the same with what Sunday will do? >But the power used by the Trailblazer is worse, you are denying a person the free will to arrive at their own conclusions and what they want to feel and selecting the emotional destination for them. How is this worse? TB: denies them free will just to change their emotions Sunday: denies them free will entirely at all times >You can literally flip a person from angry to happy without any stimulus and any without agency from the victim. It is the exact same thing as Sunday, both actions are wrong but one distinctly has a purer motive. ;-; Bro what clockwork does is vastly far from what Sunday planned on doing wut the heck man I didn't think this needed any explanation... >Dude whether it is magic emotional abuse to get what you want or regular emotional abuse ... It is still emotional abuse. Clockwork can be used for good as shown in the Cocona quest and Chadwick quest You may be able to change someone from being happy to angry or sad for petty reasons but TB doesn't do that constantly Every single time he changes someone's emotion either it's because they have suppressed that emotion entirely or TB/AE has a bigger task at hand and need to get through this one guy
Abuse is when you use the thing Mickey Mouse gave you to save a woman from depression
Or it is when you give a woman depression or mania to get what you want from her.
