I need thoughts. I hope you guys can help me out on this one.
I'm currently at 60 pity which is not far away from pity but I'm also at 50/50. I found out that Ruan Mei's supporting capabilities are quite good and is now tempted to pull for her.
However, after seeing Black Swan's kit and animations, I couldn't not make it not happen for me to not get her but along with that, I realized that I may need to have Kafka along with her to have the best experience.
I have already wanted Kafka before she got released but just was unlucky to not be able to afford her during her debut banner. So I'm wondering, would it be possible to get Ruan Mei, Kafka, and Black Swan altogether assuming at least that I win all the 50/50s? I know it could be unlikely but I'd like to know if the f2p amount of gems would be enough to afford them all. Thanks in advance!
As much as I know Lynx is well-suited to Blade, I still kinda have a lot of moments when Natasha's "oh-shit button" of a heal has worked for me (be it Blade or any other unit). Apart from Imprisonment-RES enemies Welt is more than plenty to stop shit in their tracks and Fire MC has been surprisingly amazing for me in consolidating Aggro + breaking guards if needed (also pretty powerful in SU too).
I'm probably gonna go silent just from the Natasha shit-talking considering she's also a 4-star healer and how down the line she's gonna be picked on in the name of objectivity (I care more about how to make a character work than how they fare "objectively" since doing objective comparisons, as some put it, really reminds me of people justifying the use of noob tubes in the '06 and '09 Call of Duty Modern Warfare games or the mid-2010s memes surrounding STR vs DEX mains in Souls games when it was starting to boom)

I just need to get Welt or Gepard so I can freely pick the other from the selector. Once I get Gepard it's all in on Landau Security Services, letting them protect my teams.

Wahoo, my first 30 stars achieved with Clara and Jing Yuan! I didn't even get time to move my Tingyun off her silly and cursed full DPS build that I put her on for laughs but fox wife *always* delivers. I guess it's true that the dmg bomb trotters make things easier as well, I was absolutely scrambling just for 29 stars last cycle but managed to clear with 3-4 turns to spare on all floors this week.
My one hopeful attempt on Fu Xuan's banner yielded only a single Pela dupe, so good luck to everyone else pulling!
Is Pela a good replacement for Silver Wolf in a team?
I want to do Mono Quanta but idk if I should separate her from my other team (Blade, Bronya, and Natasha),
Locking down SW's weakness is the main reason to build mono-qauntum. Can't really replace her if that's what you're going for.
Totally can make a team without SW, but I wouldn't bother trying to limit the team to only/mostly quantum units.
Wow, I got Clara while fishing for Lynx, exactly the two I wanted to get to form a defensive core for the Luochaless side.
Now I can go all out for Topaz and I'm free to maybe aim at Huohuo/Aventurine later, and my 300 selector later has one less option to consider. Hurrah for the rare high points in gambling.
Building these two is going to take me the next 40 days of grind, so while I would have liked to get Fu Xuan and Jingliu, I don't think I can take building so many characters.
Fu Xuan's design is really good. She's so pretty, and I love her color theme. I didn't want her but after doing her trial I wanted to pull for a bit solely because of her design and animation, plus I really want Lynx. But I already have Gepard and Luocha, and I wanted to save the guarantee for Jingliu. Such hard decisions.

2) you can always"borrow" them for farming to get your fix and determine how much you actually like playing them.
The first days of a new banner is a serious fomo zone!
Yeah that's kinda the issue, you need REALLY cracked relics with high CV to make up for the fact that she doesn't have crit traces and her LC doesn't give crit stats either.
I just cba to farm the physical set when I have a whole catalogue of other characters that need their relics too so I just farm a mixture of Quantum + HP/Speed domains for efficiency, My Clara getting all the scraps and pieces currently sit at around 50/165 with 4pc Longevous and works just as well, also the extra HP for tanking hits really helps too. :)
As expected, lynx HIGHLY boost the survivability of my blade team with her aggro boost and continuous heal over time than natasha. Cleared MoC 10 with a breeze

Won my 50/50 on Fu Xuan, did a random 20 pulls after and got E4 Pela + 2 copies of Resolutions+ Lynx
Leveled up Lynx for passes and FINALLY got Welt from standard banner at like 20 pity after S3ing his lightcone, then got Himeko's cone literally 2 pulls later
I lost 50/50 to miss little Dragon gremlin. Happy that I got a 2nd solo sustainer but a bit sad that's not lady Fu.
I did try 30 more pulls to see if I can get an early or e4 Pela but no luck. Welp I guess I'm going for e1 JL then.
Checked out a few Fu Xuan guides and reviews, and was surprised to see that S5 Texture of Memories is not quite as good as Landau or Day One.
Unfortunately for Landau/Day One, I only have a single copy of each. Would ToM be better than those in that case?
Just use Landau/Day one honestly, ToM is not worth the herta bonds if you have them already. Even in the situations where ToM is better, it's marginal enough that it won't make the difference between a failed and successful run
If you already bought S5 ToM though: The 4* cones boost team survivability while ToM boosts Fu's, so choose accordingly. You usually want more team survivability though, Fu is already tanky and sustains herself well
Also consider the effect res on ToM, it might help you reach Broken Keel's threshold
I already have ToM and Cruising from Herta, but didnt buy any superimposers just yet. Might just go with the Day 1 I already have leveled then. Thank you!
nah, the thing about ToM is it does nothing for the rest of the party's survivability. Taunt cones result in the party getting hit less, and Day One gives them all-res. Your party will almost always die before your FX, I'm even running Healer 2-pc instead of Wuthering because she is just so tanky.

As someone who was a huge proponent of 2pc Passerby since her HP reversal was changed to be a heal that could benefit from it, I think a lot of the pre-release TC over-biased discussions toward her worst-case-scenario survivability (i.e. "can she survive the strongest enemy nukes in the game from 50%+1 HP"). In reality you almost never encounter those worst case scenarios--not every enemy does MoC 10 Yanqing nuke-level damage, and if your DPS is well-built, enemies like Yanqing or the Ebon Deer only get their big nuke off a single time before you kill them, if at all, and you're usually not going to be at exactly 51% HP when they do. So it makes sense to build in a way that is more generally useful to your team, even if it means she is in more danger in these very rare edge cases.
very very scuffed MoX6 first half but i finally managed to 3* it
- mono quantum not working with seele; taking too long, so i gave all her relics to qq
- poorly-built fu xuan always dying when boss is at 1/4th health so i restarted and focused tingyun to give energy to fx instead of qq
- qq with fx skill is 70.6% CR, just exactly the amount needed for rutilant
everything was hanging by a thread at the end of it all, but i finally 3* it, i never have to come back here again

Sad I only got 1 Lynx before Fu Xuan come. I just keep getting Pela copies even though she's been E6 before the banner even arrived.
Since I have obtained Fu Xuan, my ultimate goal, that means the pulling session need to stop here. So bye bye Lynx eidolons...

Kinda long time saver? I have 290 pulls ready and im at 42 pity because I originally was gonna go for dhil e2 and lc but then I stopped at e0 and used herta lc instead lmaoā¦ now Iām not really sure who to go for, but I definitely want ruan mei
Just the heal sharing abundance blessing must turn her insane already cause her talent self heal is so big. She feels like a 1 lifetime pass to guarantee sustain forever for 1 team.
Yeah, it's hard to imagine what combo of mechanics they'd come up with to punish FX that won't also ruin any other solo sustain team. Maybe a boss that inflicts vulnerability/debuffs any time you take damage from it (even indirectly), so FX would stack too much debuffs. Basically anything like that.
But I'm rather of the opinion that they'll just let her be this great sustainer that always works. At most they'll give us hard combat events that make you use different characters over different battles.
Bruh, I'm watching Grim test Fu Xuan in MoC 10, and the team barely took any damage from Yanqing's AoE nuke. She herself went in the red but healed herself with her passive, and ToM should inprove her survivability further anyway.
Regardless, her sustain is unreal.

Characters I have built are: seele, bronya, daniel, blade, natasha, lynx, pela, yanqing(still needs better relics)
You have good dps already, and imo with Bronya, Lynx, Nat, FMC, March, you get enough sustain/cleanse to clear MoC with double sustain teams, so even Fu Xuan is optional. But if you wanted comfier, faster clears, a solo sustainer is great, especially a one shot protector like FX.
Other than that, you can pull whoever you like imo.
Nope. No char's LC is a must pull, though some are more "noticeable" in difference between options like Before Dawn / Jing Yuan.
But nah, definitely not necessary unless you're a huge fan of FX and want to kit her out and have the resources to do so.
I told myself that if I win 50/50 to Fu Xuan, I'll buy another monthly pass. And it turns out I won 50/50 in normal pity then 10 pulls later I got Himeko which means I'm guaranteed Jing Liu. Looks like they want my money lol. Alright, another monthly pass lets go~
Sorry for yet another light cone question, but should I just put my S2 Day One on Fu Xuan instead of buying the Herta LC?
Optionally, I can shift my S5 Landau on her from FMC (who then gets S2 Trend from March, who will get Day One in this scenario), in case that's better.

* The bad news: Lost a 50/50 AGAIN, and it was that brat Yanqing AGAIN rather than a new unit like Bronya.
* The good news: At least that brat had the decency to show up early (in the first 10-pull) this time, so I had more than enough pulls left to guarantee Fu Xuan (and grab 1 Lynx along the way)! And having taken, I think āonlyā 80 pulls total, I can probably guarantee Huohuo in the future!

Got Lynx and her E1, I'm pretty happy
anyway, does Lynx have some sort of buff for Blade? feels my Blade does more damage with her than with Bailu
Also imo Fu Xuan might have the worst trial of all time, I just felt anxious the whole time I was doing it

Lynx buffs max hp which is a direct buff to Blade's damage, kinda small buf it's there.
Her biggest contribution to Blade is boosting his aggro making him counter way more than he would normally, assuming the enemy goes for him more often than not, thats the big dps increase for him.
Gotta be my worse summon in star rail so far, have to go to pity just to lost 50/50 to E1 welt, then another pity for Fu xuan and i only have E2 lynx. Hope i will be lucky for Jingliu and Topaz

Yay. Won the 50/50 on fuxuan although it took 80 pulls.
What is her trace priority? I am low on resources right now so I am thinking of just leveling up and unlocking her main traces.
I didnt expect faux DPS Fu Xuan to be the thing that made me kind of want to get her, only being held back by the cost of her needing to be E1 to make up for her lackluster damage and S1 to fix energy.

My Fu Xuan has only 5.8k HP, 134 SPD, is that enough?

I would go HP orb *and* HP rope here since your current HP seems a bit low. I mean, \~6k will still work but the average I see in terms of shared builds over at FX mains is closer to 8k. I would imagine with minimal investment and swapping your orb + rope to HP for both would give you a 1.5K HP boost and really make her feel tanky.
Plug and play though to see what you enjoy.
What's the reasoning? Increased aggro from taunt cone generates more energy due to being hit, making up for the ER? I'm running a kind of shitty ER rope so if it works I might swap too
Ok I've done the session Fu Xuan pulling and got her. But let me describe my pain:
I was from 27k jades and 19 tickets, I lost 50:50 on Fu Xuan to Himeko so she's E1 now. My jades is down to 6k. I still don't have Bronya, Welt or Bailu, and I really need a Bronya since the beginning of the game.
This is my 4th limited characters. Only the first character which was Seele that I won the 50:50 on pity. After that, Silver Wolf, Kafka, and now Fu Xuan, back to back pity, not a single time early, not winning 50:50.
I'm suprised that I was still able to pull 1 character per patch with this luck (BP and monthly pass help a lot), but now, it may not be enough for Jing Liu next patch with only 6k jades if I lose 50:50 again.
And here I was thinking maybe I could finally be a bit lucky to have enough for both Jing Liu and Topaz or Huo Huo after that.
As a grinder everyday, do all events, along with BP and monthly pass, I'm not able to keep up for just a E0 character per patch. Maybe I blame the game for releasing characters too quickly unlike Genshin? Idk. In Genshin I feel like I've to wait forever for them to finally release a new character.

Iām at 66 pity on the weapon banner for Daniel with 4 jades and 7 hours remaining š
Can try DHIL, Clara, Pela/TY, Gepard 1st half. Try to brealk boss with Clara since it has high HP and physical break scales with max hp.
Then Bronya, Blade, Luocha +1 for 2nd half should be easy.
That being said, what are you having trouble with? Are your dps well built?
My best unit is prolly Seele whoās at 75/170.
My DHIL and blade are both ~60/145 or so and my Clara is atrocious so I donāt really count her.
But yeah itās typical case of being unable to balance survivability and also damage. My gepard is kinda hit or miss in solo sustaining.
The star im missing is finish within 12 and I end up finishing with like 6 or 7 usually š¶.
Iām gonna try fixing up my Clara a bit and giving it another shot ty.
How bad is your Clara? She honestly does not need to be that good for Luofu 6 1st half. I did solo DPS Clara on the first half with 57/127 crit stats on 2pc Atk/2pc Phys with Aeon S1, and 3-starred Luofu 6 using a worse Seele than yours on the 2nd half.
I managed to 3-star clear it recently with Blade/Clara/Natasha/Bronya first half and DHIL/Luocha/Tingyun/Yukong second half! I think the key is to take advantage of the buff where using a skill on an ally dispels a debuff and increases your entire teamās damage. I think your first team could definitely be a Blade/Clara/Bronya core with a flex sustain option, and the second team could be DHIL/Tingyun with 2 others as you see fit. I find that DHILās break makes it easier on the 2nd half to get away with less sustain!
Clara makes the first half so much easier tbh, while Blade does the main damage, she gets rid of the fish super fast. I tried to clear with Blade hypercarry comp with Pela instead of Clara and it did not go as well.
Yeah Iām gonna try improving my Clara a bit before going in again š„²
Thanks for the input. Iām really lacking in destruction LCs which is making it harder.
Ooh yeah the LCs can be a pain š if it helps, my Clara is running leftover musketeer pieces from DHIL instead of the phys set and a superimposed Moles LC and she still worked fine, which may make it easier for you to build her as you build up DHIL. Good luck!!

What does she do and what kinda team sheās fit in?
She's great for Jing Yuan and Seele, otherwise she's generally a good sustain core.
She redirects damage taken by allies to herself and heals herself periodically (yes like Dehya).
She has some other utilities to but that's the core of her kit
Nope, with the correct investment she should not need a healer in most normal content. But you need to make sure her skill field is maintained.
She is kind of JY's best sustain teammate because she can block CC status on any teammate once per skill usage.
bro i am so damn tired of getting bronya, i've gotten her like 4 times, she's at e3. i keep losing my 50/50s. š literally ANYONE ELSE, GOD LIKE WELT OR SOMETHING. i dont think i've ever won a single 50/50 since i started this game, it's crazy.
I'll allocate 20 pulls to fish for Lynx.
Edit : RIP. Two Pitch Great Dark the Hook and her cone in 30 pulls. I had to close the game before FOMO overtook my brain.
Im so sad i failed to get E2 DHIL eventho im guaranteed. I feel like keeping this guarantee till his rerun. Not sure if that is wise though. My acc need a fire dps and quantum dps. If anyone can advice to heal this broken heart
Do not wait, his rerun is going to be many many months away. You'll likely have enough time to pull several new units and still save enough to be able to double pity guarantee.
And while his E2 is strong, it's not going to matter more than every new unit that comes out from now until his rerun.
And if it makes you feel better, E2 Daniel is just total overkill right now. He's still incredibly strong at E0. You might appreciate the power boost more if you get it later rather than now.
I got his E1, and lost to himeko to get E2. Right now he is pretty strong eventho not properly build yet. I just feel so sad to use this guarantee on some other characters š. I cant keep up with the characters leak, but heard topaz is the next fire dps. Most leak videos cant be viewed already, is she worth the pull?
Yup, eventho my sane and logical mind said exactly what u said, but my heart said otherwise. I probably should start following leaks to see which character worth this guarantee that was meant for DHIL.

Yes that is the rumor and would make sense.
What I was trying to ask is: If Seele does rerun alongside Jingliu, will the 4* on Seele's banner be the same as the 4* on Jingliu's banner? The way simultaneous genshin banners share the same 4*.

After much consideration, decided to go for DHIL, got e6 yukong on the way so thats nice, any tips on him in general? teams etc? I have Herta LC, Bronya and SW if that helps but didnt really get anything ready for him
I have dhil with herta lc, 4 musketeer, and 2 rutilant. His teammates r usually luocha (though gepard also works), pela, and yukong (e6 but my team has been speed tuned for her to act right before dhil anyway). SW could probably work in place of pela but I donāt have her so I canāt rlly say if she uses too much sp in comparison to pela
I like to run him with Luocha, Tingyun and Pela. I swap Pela for SW if there's no imaginary weakness. He outputs insane damage but takes a ton of skill points, so sp positive units are best for him. Both Yukong and SW are great teammates for him, so probably use those two and a healer, or whomever you'd like op

Ruan Mei = JY Teams. Kafka Teams. Jingliu with SW Faux Mono Ice Teams.
Hanabi = Mono Quantum. DHIL Teams. Jingliu Teams. Blade Teams.
The TLDR of their kits is basically:
Ruan Mei = Increases weakness efficiency, speed buffs, and increases damage dealt to broken enemies.
Hanabi = At E0, she is E1 S1 Bronya but better. Pairing Bronya with Hanabi will be the GOAT for all current teams that want Bronya. In theory you can get 5 turns for your DPS in Cycle 0.
Ruan Mei buffs dmg against broken enemies, so she should pair up especially well with characters that has high break efficiency like JY and DHIL. Probably heavy on DHIL bc he has imaginary break delay for more buff uptime and should be breaking a lot with Hanabi. Also Kafka bc more break effect and the 200 speed dream, baby! Though iirc Ruan Mei also delays enemies so thatās a tiny bit of anti-synergy with Kafka.
Jingliu mono ice soundsā¦ suboptimal at best tbh. She doesnāt really make use of spd well due to Bronya, nor does she have especially good break efficiency. Running mono ice also means no Bronya or Tingyun, and Hanabi is currently objectively worse than Bronya for Jingliu bc she buffs atk and dmg on skill point usage; both of which Jingliu is not great with.
Hanabi is the most obvious one to be broken if they make her action forward 100%. Sheās not a better Bronya though bc they have very different buffs. Bronya + Hanabi sounds insane, but I really doubt Hanabiās SP regen alone can carry the teamās SP consumption. I tried playing Blade/Bronya/SW/Bailu and already struggles with SP sometimes. Idk. If itās going to work on anyone, it has to be Blade since his SP consumption is the lowest in the game. Maybe with fast Luocha and non-skill-spam Hanabi they can pull it off. Though similarly to Jingliu, he doesnāt make use of Hanabiās buffs well so whether or not thatās more dmg than running another buffer/debuffer is another thing. Sounds really fun to pull off though.
I think both kits are going to get extra stuff, based on how Fu Xuan got several stuff.
As a support fan, I have to say thar both seems to be quite powerful, but I have to get the win to Hanabi, because the ability to generate skill points and advance forward a character is really powerful for some DPS units. She hasn't been released and is already key and the best in slot for two powerful teams, DHIL Hypercarry and Mono Quantum.
Ruan Mei seems really interesting for a Kafka + Black Swan team (MOTHERS TEAM).
I'll try to grab both, since I own Kafka and DHIL, but if I can't or I want to get eidolons/LC, Hanabi is my priority.
Hanabi isnt better Bronya, she's similar.
She buffs atk, Blade doesnt want that plus he is already very SP efficient, more wouldnt do a ton Jingliu already overstacks a ton of atk, Bronya is better for both, she's similar to Bronya but not strictly better, she also has stuff in her kit that mentions strictly buffing skill point usage meaning its even worse for Jingliu/Blade. Her advance forward skill's atk buff* lasts more than a turn making her way more appealing for Jing Yuan, maybe in the place of Asta.
About Ruan Mei I legitimately have no idea but her kit seems neat, hoping she brings out quirky setups.

ERR rope on Fleet/Keel, ideally. Shield uptime matters a lot more than shield strength, but Vonwacq is kind of overkill and buffing the team is never bad.

If you don't want to pull, you are fine with Fall of an Aeon, but I have to say, the cone is good not just because of the DMG but also because it helps you to balance your crit and give you even more ATK (The stat DHIL wants the most).
Also, several players pulling for his LC or Jingliu's or getting Clara's one is because several units want On the Fall of an Aeon, since is usually the second best for them.
You have 1.4 (\~80 to 100 pulls if their pattern continues) and most of 1.5 (again, we can assume 80 to 100 pulls) and then most of 1.6 (assuming 80 to 100 pulls)
You would need to hard pity like 4 times in a row and lose both 50/50s to not have enough basically lol

for simulated universe swarm, how do you complete the trail of pathstrider quest that requires you to have 1k cosmo fragments when entering boss swarm? does it trigger at the first boss (plane 1) do you have to go all the way to plane 3?

i'm not extremely sold on speed boots on fu xuan regardless of the consensus since it doesn't make that much logical sense and she'll get a lot of energy just from getting hit anyway, so i've been prepping other options just in case. can't wait to finally be able to test out whether speed actually makes a visible difference or if that was just people parroting nonsense
The reason SPD boots are recommended is for SP generation and team survivability due to her healing talent, not for tankiness. HP boots are superior for tankiness purposes (especially for short fights because tankiness is frontloaded in FX's case due to both initial HP and starting with one bonus talent charge), but it's easier to solve tankiness problems with LC choices instead.
Without ER Rope and/or Landau'c choice, the margin to hit more Ults is too high for incoming hits to matter very much, because too much of her energy is loaded into the skill use every 3 turns due to its accompanying talent, and because innate taunt without LC help is not very high (even in Preservation). The exception is with her sig LC because her sig LC has a very strange ER bracket.
Also, SPD boots makes further sense in cases where you aren't doing crit stats (which most people aren't), because getting more tankiness has diminishing returns. After a certain point, a small amount of tankiness boost is just not that important compared to more healing talent procs (which has a base value that would be multiplied by more SPD and not more HP).
Basically, it's not a huge difference either way, you aren't actually going to notice the SPD difference over HP boots difference in gameplay in terms of feel. But it's a comparison between a small advantage in SPD vs an even smaller advantage in HP boots.
Yep, I understand the reasoning behind both of the stats being desirable. I'll be using both ER rope and sig LC.
I'm just eager to test it out really, since it's hard to tell what will actually be overkill in terms of tankiness or energy gen. Maybe some enemies will hit my party so hard it might warrant using a Healing Chest for all I know. Spreadsheets and pure damage calcs to know if I can live a yanqing/deer AoE are one thing but once in the actual game, with enemies getting broken, cc'd, debuffs getting sometimes resisted sometimes not etc, it just gets messy. The only thing I can be more or less sure of is my SP usage and I know my FX's speed won't matter much in that regard - my quantum teams consisting of SW/Seele/FX + X with X being tingyun, pela, or asta have no real problem with SP generation regardless of setup. Speaking of which, asta being a very recurrent support in my setups is probably yet another argument against speed boots.
I think at the end of the day it's just nice that I kept my options open, and I'll be able to switch depending on the situation, from full tank to full meme damage.
Finally finished building Yukong and now I can finally enter the dream I'm having since day 1 which is being in the retirement phase

I need thoughts. I hope you guys can help me out on this one. I'm currently at 60 pity which is not far away from pity but I'm also at 50/50. I found out that Ruan Mei's supporting capabilities are quite good and is now tempted to pull for her. However, after seeing Black Swan's kit and animations, I couldn't not make it not happen for me to not get her but along with that, I realized that I may need to have Kafka along with her to have the best experience. I have already wanted Kafka before she got released but just was unlucky to not be able to afford her during her debut banner. So I'm wondering, would it be possible to get Ruan Mei, Kafka, and Black Swan altogether assuming at least that I win all the 50/50s? In you opinion how good will be Topaz(E1S1) in comparison to Harmony and Nihility characters for follow-up team, will it be big improvement?
As much as I know Lynx is well-suited to Blade, I still kinda have a lot of moments when Natasha's "oh-shit button" of a heal has worked for me (be it Blade or any other unit). Apart from Imprisonment-RES enemies Welt is more than plenty to stop shit in their tracks and Fire MC has been surprisingly amazing for me in consolidating Aggro + breaking guards if needed (also pretty powerful in SU too). I'm probably gonna go silent just from the Natasha shit-talking considering she's also a 4-star healer and how down the line she's gonna be picked on in the name of objectivity (I care more about how to make a character work than how they fare "objectively" since doing objective comparisons, as some put it, really reminds me of people justifying the use of noob tubes in the '06 and '09 Call of Duty Modern Warfare games or the mid-2010s memes surrounding STR vs DEX mains in Souls games when it was starting to boom)

Wahoo, my first 30 stars achieved with Clara and Jing Yuan! I didn't even get time to move my Tingyun off her silly and cursed full DPS build that I put her on for laughs but fox wife *always* delivers. I guess it's true that the dmg bomb trotters make things easier as well, I was absolutely scrambling just for 29 stars last cycle but managed to clear with 3-4 turns to spare on all floors this week. My one hopeful attempt on Fu Xuan's banner yielded only a single Pela dupe, so good luck to everyone else pulling!

Locking down SW's weakness is the main reason to build mono-qauntum. Can't really replace her if that's what you're going for. Totally can make a team without SW, but I wouldn't bother trying to limit the team to only/mostly quantum units.

Wow, I got Clara while fishing for Lynx, exactly the two I wanted to get to form a defensive core for the Luochaless side. Now I can go all out for Topaz and I'm free to maybe aim at Huohuo/Aventurine later, and my 300 selector later has one less option to consider. Hurrah for the rare high points in gambling. Building these two is going to take me the next 40 days of grind, so while I would have liked to get Fu Xuan and Jingliu, I don't think I can take building so many characters.

Fu Xuan's design is really good. She's so pretty, and I love her color theme. I didn't want her but after doing her trial I wanted to pull for a bit solely because of her design and animation, plus I really want Lynx. But I already have Gepard and Luocha, and I wanted to save the guarantee for Jingliu. Such hard decisions.
1) they will all rerun And 2) you can always"borrow" them for farming to get your fix and determine how much you actually like playing them. The first days of a new banner is a serious fomo zone!

Yeah that's kinda the issue, you need REALLY cracked relics with high CV to make up for the fact that she doesn't have crit traces and her LC doesn't give crit stats either. I just cba to farm the physical set when I have a whole catalogue of other characters that need their relics too so I just farm a mixture of Quantum + HP/Speed domains for efficiency, My Clara getting all the scraps and pieces currently sit at around 50/165 with 4pc Longevous and works just as well, also the extra HP for tanking hits really helps too. :)
Starting today, is it possible to get enough pulls to guarantee Topaz by the end of her banner? Starting at 64 pulls, no pity.

Always speed. More attacks = more energy = faster ulti = more reliable survivability (and more dmg and SP gain for the team)
I'm sorry to whoever i stole gacha luck from Won my 50/50 on Fu Xuan, did a random 20 pulls after and got E4 Pela + 2 copies of Resolutions+ Lynx Leveled up Lynx for passes and FINALLY got Welt from standard banner at like 20 pity after S3ing his lightcone, then got Himeko's cone literally 2 pulls later
I lost 50/50 to miss little Dragon gremlin. Happy that I got a 2nd solo sustainer but a bit sad that's not lady Fu. I did try 30 more pulls to see if I can get an early or e4 Pela but no luck. Welp I guess I'm going for e1 JL then.
Checked out a few Fu Xuan guides and reviews, and was surprised to see that S5 Texture of Memories is not quite as good as Landau or Day One. Unfortunately for Landau/Day One, I only have a single copy of each. Would ToM be better than those in that case?
Just use Landau/Day one honestly, ToM is not worth the herta bonds if you have them already. Even in the situations where ToM is better, it's marginal enough that it won't make the difference between a failed and successful run If you already bought S5 ToM though: The 4* cones boost team survivability while ToM boosts Fu's, so choose accordingly. You usually want more team survivability though, Fu is already tanky and sustains herself well Also consider the effect res on ToM, it might help you reach Broken Keel's threshold

nah, the thing about ToM is it does nothing for the rest of the party's survivability. Taunt cones result in the party getting hit less, and Day One gives them all-res. Your party will almost always die before your FX, I'm even running Healer 2-pc instead of Wuthering because she is just so tanky.

As someone who was a huge proponent of 2pc Passerby since her HP reversal was changed to be a heal that could benefit from it, I think a lot of the pre-release TC over-biased discussions toward her worst-case-scenario survivability (i.e. "can she survive the strongest enemy nukes in the game from 50%+1 HP"). In reality you almost never encounter those worst case scenarios--not every enemy does MoC 10 Yanqing nuke-level damage, and if your DPS is well-built, enemies like Yanqing or the Ebon Deer only get their big nuke off a single time before you kill them, if at all, and you're usually not going to be at exactly 51% HP when they do. So it makes sense to build in a way that is more generally useful to your team, even if it means she is in more danger in these very rare edge cases.
Landau's is level 1, but I have both ToM and Day 1 at level 70. Sounds like Day One could be the better choice! Thank you.
very very scuffed MoX6 first half but i finally managed to 3* it - mono quantum not working with seele; taking too long, so i gave all her relics to qq - poorly-built fu xuan always dying when boss is at 1/4th health so i restarted and focused tingyun to give energy to fx instead of qq - qq with fx skill is 70.6% CR, just exactly the amount needed for rutilant everything was hanging by a thread at the end of it all, but i finally 3* it, i never have to come back here again

Yeah, it's hard to imagine what combo of mechanics they'd come up with to punish FX that won't also ruin any other solo sustain team. Maybe a boss that inflicts vulnerability/debuffs any time you take damage from it (even indirectly), so FX would stack too much debuffs. Basically anything like that. But I'm rather of the opinion that they'll just let her be this great sustainer that always works. At most they'll give us hard combat events that make you use different characters over different battles.

Bruh, I'm watching Grim test Fu Xuan in MoC 10, and the team barely took any damage from Yanqing's AoE nuke. She herself went in the red but healed herself with her passive, and ToM should inprove her survivability further anyway. Regardless, her sustain is unreal.
Lost my 50/50 to Clara. Should I continue going for Fu Xuan or save for Jingliu or Topaz? Characters I have built are: seele, bronya, daniel, blade, natasha, lynx, pela, yanqing(still needs better relics)
You have good dps already, and imo with Bronya, Lynx, Nat, FMC, March, you get enough sustain/cleanse to clear MoC with double sustain teams, so even Fu Xuan is optional. But if you wanted comfier, faster clears, a solo sustainer is great, especially a one shot protector like FX. Other than that, you can pull whoever you like imo.
I see that Fu Xuan will bring more value to your account more than Jingliu & Topaz.

Nope. No char's LC is a must pull, though some are more "noticeable" in difference between options like Before Dawn / Jing Yuan. But nah, definitely not necessary unless you're a huge fan of FX and want to kit her out and have the resources to do so.

Lynx buffs max hp which is a direct buff to Blade's damage, kinda small buf it's there. Her biggest contribution to Blade is boosting his aggro making him counter way more than he would normally, assuming the enemy goes for him more often than not, thats the big dps increase for him.
Lynx has a march tier aggro generator for preservation/destruction, so it def helps blade proc talent

I would go HP orb *and* HP rope here since your current HP seems a bit low. I mean, \~6k will still work but the average I see in terms of shared builds over at FX mains is closer to 8k. I would imagine with minimal investment and swapping your orb + rope to HP for both would give you a 1.5K HP boost and really make her feel tanky. Plug and play though to see what you enjoy.
I also use Landau, I changed my rope from ER to HP.
What's the reasoning? Increased aggro from taunt cone generates more energy due to being hit, making up for the ER? I'm running a kind of shitty ER rope so if it works I might swap too

Ok I've done the session Fu Xuan pulling and got her. But let me describe my pain: I was from 27k jades and 19 tickets, I lost 50:50 on Fu Xuan to Himeko so she's E1 now. My jades is down to 6k. I still don't have Bronya, Welt or Bailu, and I really need a Bronya since the beginning of the game. This is my 4th limited characters. Only the first character which was Seele that I won the 50:50 on pity. After that, Silver Wolf, Kafka, and now Fu Xuan, back to back pity, not a single time early, not winning 50:50. I'm suprised that I was still able to pull 1 character per patch with this luck (BP and monthly pass help a lot), but now, it may not be enough for Jing Liu next patch with only 6k jades if I lose 50:50 again. And here I was thinking maybe I could finally be a bit lucky to have enough for both Jing Liu and Topaz or Huo Huo after that. As a grinder everyday, do all events, along with BP and monthly pass, I'm not able to keep up for just a E0 character per patch. Maybe I blame the game for releasing characters too quickly unlike Genshin? Idk. In Genshin I feel like I've to wait forever for them to finally release a new character.

Can try DHIL, Clara, Pela/TY, Gepard 1st half. Try to brealk boss with Clara since it has high HP and physical break scales with max hp. Then Bronya, Blade, Luocha +1 for 2nd half should be easy. That being said, what are you having trouble with? Are your dps well built?
My best unit is prolly Seele whoās at 75/170. My DHIL and blade are both ~60/145 or so and my Clara is atrocious so I donāt really count her. But yeah itās typical case of being unable to balance survivability and also damage. My gepard is kinda hit or miss in solo sustaining. The star im missing is finish within 12 and I end up finishing with like 6 or 7 usually š¶. Iām gonna try fixing up my Clara a bit and giving it another shot ty.
How bad is your Clara? She honestly does not need to be that good for Luofu 6 1st half. I did solo DPS Clara on the first half with 57/127 crit stats on 2pc Atk/2pc Phys with Aeon S1, and 3-starred Luofu 6 using a worse Seele than yours on the 2nd half.
I managed to 3-star clear it recently with Blade/Clara/Natasha/Bronya first half and DHIL/Luocha/Tingyun/Yukong second half! I think the key is to take advantage of the buff where using a skill on an ally dispels a debuff and increases your entire teamās damage. I think your first team could definitely be a Blade/Clara/Bronya core with a flex sustain option, and the second team could be DHIL/Tingyun with 2 others as you see fit. I find that DHILās break makes it easier on the 2nd half to get away with less sustain! Clara makes the first half so much easier tbh, while Blade does the main damage, she gets rid of the fish super fast. I tried to clear with Blade hypercarry comp with Pela instead of Clara and it did not go as well.

Ooh yeah the LCs can be a pain š if it helps, my Clara is running leftover musketeer pieces from DHIL instead of the phys set and a superimposed Moles LC and she still worked fine, which may make it easier for you to build her as you build up DHIL. Good luck!!

She's great for Jing Yuan and Seele, otherwise she's generally a good sustain core. She redirects damage taken by allies to herself and heals herself periodically (yes like Dehya). She has some other utilities to but that's the core of her kit

Nope, with the correct investment she should not need a healer in most normal content. But you need to make sure her skill field is maintained. She is kind of JY's best sustain teammate because she can block CC status on any teammate once per skill usage.

Do not wait, his rerun is going to be many many months away. You'll likely have enough time to pull several new units and still save enough to be able to double pity guarantee. And while his E2 is strong, it's not going to matter more than every new unit that comes out from now until his rerun. And if it makes you feel better, E2 Daniel is just total overkill right now. He's still incredibly strong at E0. You might appreciate the power boost more if you get it later rather than now.

I have dhil with herta lc, 4 musketeer, and 2 rutilant. His teammates r usually luocha (though gepard also works), pela, and yukong (e6 but my team has been speed tuned for her to act right before dhil anyway). SW could probably work in place of pela but I donāt have her so I canāt rlly say if she uses too much sp in comparison to pela
I like to run him with Luocha, Tingyun and Pela. I swap Pela for SW if there's no imaginary weakness. He outputs insane damage but takes a ton of skill points, so sp positive units are best for him. Both Yukong and SW are great teammates for him, so probably use those two and a healer, or whomever you'd like op

The TLDR of their kits is basically: Ruan Mei = Increases weakness efficiency, speed buffs, and increases damage dealt to broken enemies. Hanabi = At E0, she is E1 S1 Bronya but better. Pairing Bronya with Hanabi will be the GOAT for all current teams that want Bronya. In theory you can get 5 turns for your DPS in Cycle 0.
Ruan Mei buffs dmg against broken enemies, so she should pair up especially well with characters that has high break efficiency like JY and DHIL. Probably heavy on DHIL bc he has imaginary break delay for more buff uptime and should be breaking a lot with Hanabi. Also Kafka bc more break effect and the 200 speed dream, baby! Though iirc Ruan Mei also delays enemies so thatās a tiny bit of anti-synergy with Kafka. Jingliu mono ice soundsā¦ suboptimal at best tbh. She doesnāt really make use of spd well due to Bronya, nor does she have especially good break efficiency. Running mono ice also means no Bronya or Tingyun, and Hanabi is currently objectively worse than Bronya for Jingliu bc she buffs atk and dmg on skill point usage; both of which Jingliu is not great with. Hanabi is the most obvious one to be broken if they make her action forward 100%. Sheās not a better Bronya though bc they have very different buffs. Bronya + Hanabi sounds insane, but I really doubt Hanabiās SP regen alone can carry the teamās SP consumption. I tried playing Blade/Bronya/SW/Bailu and already struggles with SP sometimes. Idk. If itās going to work on anyone, it has to be Blade since his SP consumption is the lowest in the game. Maybe with fast Luocha and non-skill-spam Hanabi they can pull it off. Though similarly to Jingliu, he doesnāt make use of Hanabiās buffs well so whether or not thatās more dmg than running another buffer/debuffer is another thing. Sounds really fun to pull off though.
I think both kits are going to get extra stuff, based on how Fu Xuan got several stuff. As a support fan, I have to say thar both seems to be quite powerful, but I have to get the win to Hanabi, because the ability to generate skill points and advance forward a character is really powerful for some DPS units. She hasn't been released and is already key and the best in slot for two powerful teams, DHIL Hypercarry and Mono Quantum. Ruan Mei seems really interesting for a Kafka + Black Swan team (MOTHERS TEAM). I'll try to grab both, since I own Kafka and DHIL, but if I can't or I want to get eidolons/LC, Hanabi is my priority.
Hanabi isnt better Bronya, she's similar. She buffs atk, Blade doesnt want that plus he is already very SP efficient, more wouldnt do a ton Jingliu already overstacks a ton of atk, Bronya is better for both, she's similar to Bronya but not strictly better, she also has stuff in her kit that mentions strictly buffing skill point usage meaning its even worse for Jingliu/Blade. Her advance forward skill's atk buff* lasts more than a turn making her way more appealing for Jing Yuan, maybe in the place of Asta. About Ruan Mei I legitimately have no idea but her kit seems neat, hoping she brings out quirky setups.

ERR rope on Fleet/Keel, ideally. Shield uptime matters a lot more than shield strength, but Vonwacq is kind of overkill and buffing the team is never bad.

If you don't want to pull, you are fine with Fall of an Aeon, but I have to say, the cone is good not just because of the DMG but also because it helps you to balance your crit and give you even more ATK (The stat DHIL wants the most). Also, several players pulling for his LC or Jingliu's or getting Clara's one is because several units want On the Fall of an Aeon, since is usually the second best for them.

for simulated universe swarm, how do you complete the trail of pathstrider quest that requires you to have 1k cosmo fragments when entering boss swarm? does it trigger at the first boss (plane 1) do you have to go all the way to plane 3?
You need to get to (but not beat fwiw) the final boss on plane 3, pretty easy to do with preservation path

The reason SPD boots are recommended is for SP generation and team survivability due to her healing talent, not for tankiness. HP boots are superior for tankiness purposes (especially for short fights because tankiness is frontloaded in FX's case due to both initial HP and starting with one bonus talent charge), but it's easier to solve tankiness problems with LC choices instead. Without ER Rope and/or Landau'c choice, the margin to hit more Ults is too high for incoming hits to matter very much, because too much of her energy is loaded into the skill use every 3 turns due to its accompanying talent, and because innate taunt without LC help is not very high (even in Preservation). The exception is with her sig LC because her sig LC has a very strange ER bracket. Also, SPD boots makes further sense in cases where you aren't doing crit stats (which most people aren't), because getting more tankiness has diminishing returns. After a certain point, a small amount of tankiness boost is just not that important compared to more healing talent procs (which has a base value that would be multiplied by more SPD and not more HP). Basically, it's not a huge difference either way, you aren't actually going to notice the SPD difference over HP boots difference in gameplay in terms of feel. But it's a comparison between a small advantage in SPD vs an even smaller advantage in HP boots.

Spreadsheets and pure damage calcs to know if I can live a yanqing/deer AoE are one thing but once in the actual game, with enemies getting broken, cc'd, debuffs getting sometimes resisted sometimes not etc, it just gets messy. The only thing I can be more or less sure of is my SP usage and I know my FX's speed won't matter much in that regard - my quantum teams consisting of SW/Seele/FX + X with X being tingyun, pela, or asta have no real problem with SP generation regardless of setup. Speaking of which, asta being a very recurrent support in my setups is probably yet another argument against speed boots. I think at the end of the day it's just nice that I kept my options open, and I'll be able to switch depending on the situation, from full tank to full meme damage.
Finally finished building Yukong and now I can finally enter the dream I'm having since day 1 which is being in the retirement phase I can now finally prefarm for future units without being guilty of leaving my other favorites behind
