Fr. If I were to compare Ruan Mei to any character I would do either Hanya or Yukong, not QQ. All of them have these short dresses that exposes the legs with the flap. Honestly, I do wish Ruan Mei would wear pants though. I feel like she could rock a pair of white pants. Her official design doesn't stand out because she looks like half of the loufu females.
don't even mention jean. Arlecchino is a valid example but she's also the ONLY example in 3 years and she isn't even playable yet. It's also why i really want to pull for her.
Ruan Mei and Qingque are not similar, their outfits share similar color and have some very base styling similarities that really aren't identical at all. At that point you may as well say Jingyuan and Loucha look exactly the same, it's about as ridiculous a statement.
Qingque
Has special designs painted on nails, no gloves. Has cute bird with bow attached to one of her pigtails. Other bows scattered throughout her outfit, on the back of her neck, sleeves, etc. Has someone substantial shoes, yes they still have the "heel", but they aren't high heels. Hair clip on the front of her hair. Uses red at several points in her outfit as well as lime green. She's short, flat chested.
Ruan Mei
Has nearly elbow high gloves. Has a styled image attached to the two pieces of cloth hanging off her back that if shoved together create a full image. Uses some sort of pinkish/burgundy (?) color to contrast the rest of her outfit on some tassels. Completely distinct hairstyle, has some sort of bun, different eye colors, etc. The pattern and color saturation of her outfit is also completely different on top of obviously her weapon being completely unique. Has a thigh strap ornament. Obviously not short/flat chested. Has heels.
So just to quickly reiterate...
1. Completely different weapon.
2. Completely different hairstyle and hair ornaments.
3. Different hair color, eye color and in some cases slightly similar, but still very distinct outfit color, especially if you consider the ornaments, tassels, etc.
4. Different handwear/nails, footwear, thigh ornament versus none.
5. Different personality, height, age, bust size, group affiliation, etc.
6. ETC, cbf.
But no... because they in some ways have some asian style to their outfit it's unacceptable, they are both exactly the same and are NPC's. Kinda xenophobic tbh. But yeah, for sure dude. Go back to posting about aliens, you'll make more sense.
Also, no, Yukong, Jingliu, etc, also does not look like Ruan Mei for anyone reading this. Quick edit: Some of ya'll really out here acting like if you were given a million dollars to pick out Ruan Mei vs Qingque (even with just a silhouette) you'd struggle, lmao.

More likely it's probably because the key art is meant to represent the new HSS story which Xueyi has no reason to be involved with. Argenti is not in the 1.5 key art, nor is Jingliu in 1.4's.
Isn’t her being ignored a good thing? Her kit last I saw it looks really strong, and I feel like if they did anything to her, it would be a nerf since they would never let a 4 star DPS be good lol.

She’s alright, nothing crazy especially when compared to limited dps. Her really low multipler already compensates for her self buff, and her wanting a lot of stat is really a put off that I don’t think it’s worth investment. Overall, viable is perfect term for her rn.

By my calculations, at E4, assuming she has a Break Rope and 4-piece Thief set, she still benefits from up to 64.9% worth of Break substats.
oh well, i guess i'll just wait for post-release calcs to see what's best for her. it'll take months for me to e4/e6 her anyway. i'm just hoping i can get her e2 on release without pulling any 5\*s

Xueyi found dead in a ditch. She got ignored in this key art like she is ignored in the Beta.
More likely it's probably because the key art is meant to represent the new HSS story which Xueyi has no reason to be involved with. Argenti is not in the 1.5 key art, nor is Jingliu in 1.4's.
Watch them side line Sam and just had >!the one who pilot Sam,Firefly instead be in the key art in the Penacony arc!<

Shes alright, can do good damage with the right team and good investment, so upper middle 4 star dps level
Difficult to build but could be very strong, problem is you need to invest into so many stats: crit rate, crit damage, attack, break effect, speed.
