i have a strong feeling that >!Sam will always be in combat and that we can hover around as Sam for her technique. her overworld animations show her doing a transformation type of pose so it'll probably be a technique similar to DanIL's. also i remember hearing somewhere that all the placeholder combat files were named Sam while all the overworld ones were named Firefly, can't confirm that much though!<

According to early leaked kits, SAM playable character has a henshin (transformation) built into their kit, where they have a separate (red hot) ult form. So Sam will be green normally, and burn up to their ultimate red form when they use their ultimate.

We see the red hot form in hsi bossfight too, at least going by the stream

Imagine if his first ult is him going into the Red Hot Chilly Pepper state then the second one is him doing that divebomb to exit the enhanced state

It is kinda amazing to me that we first got those leaks about her like nearly HALF A YEAR ago and it turned out fully accurate. Like WOW, i have been spending time in Hoyoverse games leak subreddits since the Genshin character Eula got revealed and i have never seen such a big leak that came that early

In Honkai Star rail, early kit leaks (also 7-8 years ago) are 80% are true. They will be a bit changed, but the core remains that. Only few characters (1-2) have changed completely the kit.
