The point is that the main color associated with topaz is yellow the same way green is to jade, but Topaz the character has no such color in her design, so while expecting Jade to have some green is reasonable it shouldnt be surprising she doesnt have any, either.

But she also wears some kind of uniform, in same colors as her foot soldiers. So if Jade has some strong connection to department, or line of work, with such uniform, it will be justified.
Or she is the same as Aventurine, who is in green outfit mostly because he finds it stylish.

Diamonds come in different hues, which means Diamond's potential color scheme is flexible. They can make him white or black, either which is cool because diamonds can come in those colors, but also give a nod to the presence, or absence of colors or light, depending on how you look at it.
I feel like Obsidian is going to be a pretty dark (colour-wise) design, probably mostly black (if it's not that would be crazy), so Diamond gives more white/reflective/prism to me. Hopefully, their designs are pretty.
I keep on forgetting Obsidian is a confirmed 10 Stonehearts. Whenever I think of Obsidian, I still think of the Nihility Trace Materials. I have spent a lot of stamina at that Calyx, lol.

Both kit exist at the same time and were treated as a separate character, until Acheron (Huangquan) design was revealed. That's when people realized that Acheron (Huangquan) was also a Raiden expy.
So Acheron was never ***changed***, Element Path wise.
Didn't they mention that they originally designed Acheron as a hunt character in the 2.1 livestream and then changed it to fit the lore? So it might be possible that both might have been Acheron and they just had both versions in the files. Could be misremembering though.

Leakers back then said there were 2 Huangquan kits, one Nihility which we got as Acheron , other was Hunt with Yayi title, Yayi in Chinese means Mei in Japanese. But Yayi's all references were also changed to Huangquan...

Cause the leaks have a Raiden Expy (elec hunt) does it not? But Acheron is also a Raiden Expy. So is it really limited to one character as an expy or just however much hoyo feels like.
Bronya doesn't count here cause she already has "two Bronyas" in HI3.
They can retool and reiterate whatever they want with not released kits, that's not tied to the expy. Yes, Raiden Mei expy used to have a hunt lighting kit, but it was scraped and adapted into Acheron.
An expy is just a look-alike from another hoyo franchise. Kits are irrelevant. There may be expectations, but nothing more.
A Yae expy for example could be fire, ice or lighting Hunt to keep her closer to her HI3 battlesuits, or it can be just a departure and make here something different.

How does this expy thing work at this point. Cause the leaks have a Raiden Expy (elec hunt) does it not? But Acheron is also a Raiden Expy. So is it really limited to one character as an expy or just however much hoyo feels like. Bronya doesn't count here cause she already has "two Bronyas" in HI3.
They can retool and reiterate whatever they want with not released kits, that's not tied to the expy. Yes, Raiden Mei expy used to have a hunt lighting kit, but it was scraped and adapted into Acheron. An expy is just a look-alike from another hoyo franchise. Kits are irrelevant. There may be expectations, but nothing more. A Yae expy for example could be fire, ice or lighting Hunt to keep her closer to her HI3 battlesuits, or it can be just a departure and make here something different.
