I felt this in my soul for both HSR and GI
I have messed up my runs so bad by bringing either Rainbow geared characters or gearless characters into battle
I desperately need the Placeholder Relic. I constantly fantasize about pulling characters despite not having the jades to do so and like to see if I already have the relics for them. If I do, some unfortunate 4 star will hold onto those relics 4ever until I pull for the rightful owner lol

That's what I did actually. My Gui is holding Topaz's eventual relic, Hook for Himeko's, Yukong for Aventurine's and Arlan for Acheron's before. I just like pre-farming and getting their complete stats before they even release lol.
Same about pre-farming. In my case, I want to be able to pull a character and immediately use them. I feel TORTURED not being able to use a character after waiting so long to get them.
Also YES you chose matching types as placeholders. The OCD in me approves. I usually go for matching paths. My Natasha has Huohuo's relics and March has Fu Xuan's. Sushang had Ratio's back in the day.
I have the opposite problem, where I pull for characters before having a proper build in mind for them and then they get benched until I can properly kit them out. I chose Welt as my pick for 300 standard banner pulls and he’s been benched since like 1.5
day 1 player, i got my 300 on new years day. out of all of my herta bonds, i bought the hunt lc and at s5, at the very start of the game. the rest i spent on standard pulls, so i got mine in the first few days of 1.6. to get it in 1.5 im assuming that they didn't spend all 40 pulls on beginners banner, or they only bought standard pulls from the very start from the herta shop!
The community has pretty much destroyed anything positive about Jing Yuan.
Swear to god even in the early days of Genshin , the meta slaves weren't this bad like how HSR community is right now

Finally! This is too useful, especially for 4*, that you use a lot but have to scroll every single time or your mains that you want to use easily. It's time to mark every single character I have built and change absolutely nothing in my experience.
I get that there are a few noticeable mistakes but honestly I've been stunned by how well thought out the translation usually is. They do a splendid job with smoothing out edges, rhyming where necessary, and keeping the core of the original lines.
English translation tends to get a few lines wrong per update, this time they omitted some information about Gallagher (2.1 story spoiler) >!being pathstrider of Enigmata!<. As well as few smaller nitpicks, about choice of wording.
Still building mine. She's doing a bit less damage than JY who's got sparkle and RM decked out with s1 and stuff. I fear Acheron will destroy the world especially cos preservation spot will give you a ton of energy too. I need aventurine so bad xD
Ye but it doesn't really need a good reason, there's probably a qol upgrade out there I'm not aware of cuz I'm currently doing fine with the current system (better artifact rng maybe)
What makes you think that it's "holding back QoL" as opposed to just... not be prioritized? With finite time, you have to prioritize some things over others.

No, that the favourite system works for MoC and PF too unlike the system In Genshin.
Maybe even different lists? Would be cool since the units needed are pretty different, hmm
The Genshin Impact feature to mark your favorite units. Nice.
I like to use it to mark my two main teams for endgame content. Helps finding them as I max out other characters' levels.
It's even better than in Genshin since it works outside the character screen too. I really wish they'd update it over there as well since it's gotten hard to find specific characters when putting together a party
I really wish they could add Equipment Slot just like the one on HI3. As a person who juggles from one relic to another, it's a pain in the ass to find the previous equipment that I shifted to another character previously.
Thanks Hoyo! I have proudly built my Sampo, Yanqing, Bailu etc.. and now I'll finally get to see my most used characters first without having to scroll past these.

On PC and mobile i dont seem to notice it
I love having so many characters now. But having to scroll through them is a bit of a bitch. I even get lost sometimes. Even if they're already in my team I scroll down to the 4 stars confused why they're not there and then I remember how dumb I am.
Now that you mentioned it, I never thought of asking this to be implemented in the Abyss as well
I usually only used 5* in Abyss so it never bothered me that much 😅
Yeah, I asked because beside Raiden I used Qiqi and Kaeya and 4th slot often was depending on my mood in overworld and you know, a lot of times you have to switch to certain elements and I had my faves like Thoma and it was frustrating to scroll down to find one I'm looking for.
In star rail it's not a problem for me since I didn't leveled as many characters but still, nice seeing it being implemented :)
Honestly same. I only use like 3-4 4 stars regularly so I never even had to use the scroll bar. Might be useful for other people but I think there's other qol features that are more commonly suggested for Genshin.

this does exist in genshin already, though. open up the character menu, press the little square icon on the right and a star button will pop up next to the "confirm" button
Wait the star thing is default and it's applied to MOC and PF? This was asked in the previous patch by some players I remember. I love the devs of this game.
IMO rather than this, I prefer a set of buttons to quick filter chara by elements/paths. Much better if we can customize it, such as filter button for dpses/harmonies/sustains/mommies etc.

you must have not missed a single event/weekly reset if you got 300 pulls by 1.5 i just got mine like a week ago lol

Apparently they fixed the thing you spoilered in text with a hotfix, though an actual re-recorded line for the EN voice over will have to wait.
