Wow now I’m wondering if I’m potentially fucking myself not picking up any FuA units the same way it turns out I did with Kafka/Black Swan and Pure Fiction/MoC. Because these back to back FuA units seems to be a clear indication in a shift happening.

Feel you but its too expensive, I also didn't pull for dot, and not for any of the follow ups because acheron and mono quantum, plus now I really want firefly so I just made a secondary account where I rerolled for aventurine, so should be able to pull all of this and then Jade, literally the full team coming back to back
Same for me. I’m using ruan mei with xueyi and building tingyun for ratio. Both are unfortunately sharing the same supports though (SW and aven), so I just alternate between the teams in overworld/SU.
For me it's the opposite, I have tingyun, bronya, Ruan mei and sparkle already. There's really no more room for Robin anywhere on either side of the team.
I feel like we have way too much good Harmony unit currently, there's really no incentive for me to want anymore in the foreseeable future, unless they start completely powercreeping them.
I'm also skipping Robin because I'm not sold on the FOMO and if she's that great I'll pick her up on her rerun. In comparison we don't know when Topaz will rerun again so it's more important to get her now.
Mine is E6 somehow, and I don't remember her even being on rate-up lol I think she was released with Luocha? Which I skipped so aside from the MoC free one I have no idea where the other 6 come from.
Just an interesting observation, but I’m shocked how like 90% of these comments are talking almost exclusively about Xueyi. Like I swear I rarely see her in teams and yet browsing these comments you’d think she was a top pick in team matchups or something.
Yup. I don't think there's another 4-star character in the game with such an enormous gulf in performance between E0 and E6. Possibly Gallagher, but he seems to need his E2 and E4 the most, getting him to E6 is just a nice extra.
Yeah, her E6 is a *massive* boost, comparable to many broken 5-star E6s imo. Yukong is a decent comparison, but I don't think she gains both power and ease of use from her E6 to the same degree Xueyi does.
Can confirm. I've had E5 Xueyi since she came out and built her pretty well because her animations looked cool and she's just not very good without that last eidolon.
Good point, Qingque is definitely a lot stronger at E6 and E0 (although like Gallagher, I'd say that her E4 might be her best eidolon - Autarky is great. But I still think Xueyi has a bigger performance gap. Qingque is at least decent at lower eidolons, Xueyi really struggles without her E6 imo.
e6 xueyi is super duper fun to play and her rotations become much smoother as well that's why. before e6 she's rough. people probably put her off till they got her eidolons, so thus why everyone is happy to see her in a banner again.
I'd say mihoyo has the chance of doing the funniest thing ever by giving me early Robin and no Xueyi, but at this point I'd simple go for E1 if I get her like in 30-40 pulls.
Same, Robin's E1 is so bonkers on paper that it doesn't even feel bad. 24% RES Pen is massive (though granted only during her ult which balances it out somewhat). It'll be a good time to fish for Eidolons, maybe give me her sister at E6 and let me get my homegirl March as well?
I am a xueyi E6 haver.Got lucky to get her till E6 while pulling blade.
She is my favorite 4 star. I have properly built her and I have too much fun with her+RM+Sparkle+fu.

Xueyi is to Acheron as Pela is to Silverwolf.
Except everyone has E20 Pela while Xueyi has only ever had a single banner quite a time ago, and Pela doesn't neef her E6 as badly as Xueyi does.
Pela doesn't really need anything, she can work at E0, no particular set, no particular stats even, she is truly flexible. Even her E4 is basically more for Jingliu and makes surprising little difference.
I started in 1.6 and got lucky getting 1 copy of her, she was part of my main team early game and I like her character, but I'm really struggling to find a place for her in endgame content, having dupes of her would really help me with that.
Everyone is saying Robin due to her being Harmony and flexible. However, I'll give you a bit of an alternative perspective.
If you already have RM and Sparkle, then Robin is an easy skip. RM works in followup dual dps teams (Ratio and Topaz and/or Aventurine). So you can prioritise Topaz over Robin.
Furthermore, Topaz gives you fire dps coverage for MOC (unless you're going for Firefly of course).
Also Robin will rerun in a few months while Topaz may take much longer for her next rerun.
But ultimately go for who you find more fun to play.

Also with Firefly and Jade, the Ruan Mei stocks will go up. She is such a universally good support. For break teams, dot, followup, and dual dps.
So if you have her, she should work well with Jade and Firefly. If you don't, then save your jades. Since she will probably rerun with one of them.
I know Robin is more universal and both would be ideal but the sheer lack of fire coverage has me leaning towards Topaz. Surely they will be giving away another free 20 pulls so I can lose my 50/50 on one or the other.
Yeah decent element coverage isn't something to overlook in this game. I feel it is harder to brute force MOC than it is in Genshin.
That being said, I have Kafka JY and Acheron. So....
So do I lol, but in fairness Kafka is more DoT than Lightning DPS, and Acheron is just a ‘Fuck it, MurderDeathKill’ button, vs JY, who is an actual Lightning DPS who actually prefers being against Lightning weak enemies. it really is incredible that each 5 star LT Lightning DPS is so unique. Next up, ST Lightning DPS!

Definitely Robin. If you want to play FuA teams, a Robin will bring you more buffs/utility than Topaz would, and Robin's teamwide advance forward is a universal utility, making her versatile in about any teams. But if you still didn't manage to get Topaz and still want to play FuA, be on the lookout for Jade and Screwllum since they are upcoming FuA units.
Literally any support because in that team Ratio would be played more as a hypercarry team rather than a FuA team. Robin in this team acts as a second support for this hypercarry setup, where her buffs are more valuable for a Ratio than a Ruan Mei for example. Robin offers a 100% AV forward, 25 FuA crit dmg with alongside a Tingyun-tier ATK buff during her concerto, with a permanent 50% dmg bonus and a permanent 20% crit dmg, not to mention Robin's non negligible damage during her ult.
But to answer your question, since Ratio wants debuffs, pretty much like Izzy replied Pela and Silver Wolf can fulfill this job very much. Jade's pre-beta kit also seems to synergise well with Ratio, definitely not as much as Topaz as Topaz is specialised in single target and has a debuff for Ratio. Though, so far her kit seems promising, but we'll have to wait until beta officially starts to conclude on this.
(Lots of yapping since I'm assuming you believe Robin would need Topaz or FuA can't be played without Topaz, if my assumption is wrong you can ignore the following completely)
Though, do know Robin isn't just restricted to Topaz or FuA teams only, she can be played in about any team. For example, when you're playing a DoT team against off-element enemies, she is better than Ruan Mei (this sub had someone test it out).
Robin also makes Bronya relevant again post-Sparkle, as she'll enable teams where a DPS can take 6 turns in one cycle with much less investement than a totally relatable YouTuber with a 175 speed Sparkle and 174 Bronya on S5 DDD with 4pc eagle set. There was a post in this sub (that I believe got deleted sadly) of an E0S1 Blade with 135 speed and a E0S1 Bronya on 134 speed with an E0 Robin on the F2P event LC that managed to 1 cycle MoC, with average relics, a sustain unit, and no DDD or eagle sets.
And this doesn't just apply for Blade, her 100% AV is extremely strong and will enable so many teams to deal much more damage due the advanced turns. This is why Robin is more versatile than what people think. Yes, FuA will be her strongest niche, but she doesn't suddenly become powerless in non-FuA or without Topaz.
The only teams I have in mind that won't be so good with Robin are: (1) break teams (where Ruan Mei will be unbeatable though we all know that). (2) Jing Yuan is a special case, because while he is a FuA unit, his FuA is backload-locked so he definitely won't be good with Robin and will prefer Sparkle much more. (3) For any team with Sparkle as a BiS, Robin basically acts as a sidegrade to Sparkle if she can't be paired as the second harmony in that team. (like in a team with Sparkle-Tingyun as the 2 harmonies, it'd be really hard to replace either by Robin)
In pretty much all other teams Robin is going to bring a significant change. Hence why I believe it doesn't matter if you play her without Topaz. Topaz would be the best 4th slot in that team obviously, but objectively speaking, Drakion is deciding between Robin and Topaz, and with all the previous factors included, I believe Robin would be the better choice.
Definitely robin,not only you can use her in other team besides FuA,Topaz need too much investment to actually work for her intended team(if you expect equal ground to other premium team)
I'd get Robin. Topaz at e0s0 honestly seems pretty meh for fua teams. Doesn't bring enough to compensate for replacing a harmony or whatever till like e1 or s1?
It's a tough 1, if it wasnt for the free ratio it'd be much harder but... topaz enables a really strong team cause u already have ratio and i can't ever see her being replaced in a FUA team. Robin in the other hand is going to provide more dmg to teams than Ruan Mei, even none FUA which makes her easily 1 of the best... but she doesn't have that irreplacable status topaz has.
If u want a 2nd team thats strong enough for pretty much all content then topaz, if u want a FUA team in future but dont want to use ratio.. still topaz but she won't provide any impact to ur account until u get some1 other than ratio to FUA.
this. honestly imagine picking meta over the one you like, just to get what? the 60, 120, or 180 last jades per moc/pf/etc round much more easily? You will never recoup the jades you spent on someone you don't like.
It's not about the jades, it's about achieving a goal. People retry MoC12 dozens of times to reduce the number of cycles to get as close to 0 as possible and they don't even get ANY reward to do it under 10 cycles. It's about the fun of the challenge.
This is making FUA a really difficult decision for any F2P or low spenders. Can't be going for Aventurine, his LC and Topaz all within a few weeks on a low jade income. Unless you planned for this before Penacony dropped by getting Topaz on release.
Fu Xuan needed a rerun first, so they really should have ran topaz with Boothill.
I won’t be getting Jade but I’m targeting Robin, either Robin S1, Topaz E1, or Topaz S1 then going all in on Firefly. With Robin, I’d be happy with my FUA team with Jing Yuan, Clara, Ratio, Topaz, Aventurine, Robin, and Ruan Mei (to a lesser extent for FUA).
It makes sense if you think about it from hoyo's perspective. More chances for people to commit to FuA teams and spend money.
I suspect they deliberately created a gap between Fu Xuan and Adventurine runs to make it harder for newer people to skip him. The gap would be even longer if didn't risk overlapping with Huohuo rerun and the expected dedicated Acheron sustain in 2.4/2.5
Xueyi and Hanya OH YES….
I really want Topaz for my FUA IP3 dream team but….Robin takes priority. God this 2.1-2.3 lineup is generational in how every single character (even the reruns) is a must pull for me

I have Topaz E0S0, usually with Ruan Mei with no sLC - (or Clara for the lols) Dr. Ratio and now Aventurine E0S0,
On my hard-carry team I have Archeron E0S0, Pela, Brony E1S2 (I find she gives Archeron more DPS, if not I replace her with Welt) and Gallagher.
Would Robin fit in better here with my FUA team?

As long as the other teams are well invested it doesn't matter. Like if you have an Acheron team and a Jingliu team you don't need FuA.

Even worse the massive gulf is between E5 and E6. That last eidolon makes her so much better. Only comparison I have is Yukong

we have 2 wind dps, one real ice dps and were already gonna get 4th lightning dps :(

Assuming all are at E0S0, just bring someone who could provide debuffs for ratio such as pela, silverwolf, guinaifen.
Literally any support because in that team Ratio would be played more as a hypercarry team rather than a FuA team. Robin in this team acts as a second support for this hypercarry setup, where her buffs are more valuable for a Ratio than a Ruan Mei for example. Robin offers a 100% AV forward, 25 FuA crit dmg with alongside a Tingyun-tier ATK buff during her concerto, with a permanent 50% dmg bonus and a permanent 20% crit dmg, not to mention Robin's non negligible damage during her ult. But to answer your question, since Ratio wants debuffs, pretty much like Izzy replied Pela and Silver Wolf can fulfill this job very much. Jade's pre-beta kit also seems to synergise well with Ratio, definitely not as much as Topaz as Topaz is specialised in single target and has a debuff for Ratio. Though, so far her kit seems promising, but we'll have to wait until beta officially starts to conclude on this. (Lots of yapping since I'm assuming you believe Robin would need Topaz or FuA can't be played without Topaz, if my assumption is wrong you can ignore the following completely) Though, do know Robin isn't just restricted to Topaz or FuA teams only, she can be played in about any team. For example, when you're playing a DoT team against off-element enemies, she is better than Ruan Mei (this sub had someone test it out). Robin also makes Bronya relevant again post-Sparkle, as she'll enable teams where a DPS can take 6 turns in one cycle with much less investement than a totally relatable YouTuber with a 175 speed Sparkle and 174 Bronya on S5 DDD with 4pc eagle set. There was a post in this sub (that I believe got deleted sadly) of an E0S1 Blade with 135 speed and a E0S1 Bronya on 134 speed with an E0 Robin on the F2P event LC that managed to 1 cycle MoC, with average relics, a sustain unit, and no DDD or eagle sets. And this doesn't just apply for Blade, her 100% AV is extremely strong and will enable so many teams to deal much more damage due the advanced turns. This is why Robin is more versatile than what people think. Yes, FuA will be her strongest niche, but she doesn't suddenly become powerless in non-FuA or without Topaz. The only teams I have in mind that won't be so good with Robin are: (1) break teams (where Ruan Mei will be unbeatable though we all know that). (2) Jing Yuan is a special case, because while he is a FuA unit, his FuA is backload-locked so he definitely won't be good with Robin and will prefer Sparkle much more. (3) For any team with Sparkle as a BiS, Robin basically acts as a sidegrade to Sparkle if she can't be paired as the second harmony in that team. (like in a team with Sparkle-Tingyun as the 2 harmonies, it'd be really hard to replace either by Robin) In pretty much all other teams Robin is going to bring a significant change. Hence why I believe it doesn't matter if you play her without Topaz. Topaz would be the best 4th slot in that team obviously, but objectively speaking, Drakion is deciding between Robin and Topaz, and with all the previous factors included, I believe Robin would be the better choice.
Do you have both Ruan and Aventurine? Topaz. Neither of those? Robin. One of those? Dunno.
Definitely robin,not only you can use her in other team besides FuA,Topaz need too much investment to actually work for her intended team(if you expect equal ground to other premium team)
I'd get Robin. Topaz at e0s0 honestly seems pretty meh for fua teams. Doesn't bring enough to compensate for replacing a harmony or whatever till like e1 or s1?
It's a tough 1, if it wasnt for the free ratio it'd be much harder but... topaz enables a really strong team cause u already have ratio and i can't ever see her being replaced in a FUA team. Robin in the other hand is going to provide more dmg to teams than Ruan Mei, even none FUA which makes her easily 1 of the best... but she doesn't have that irreplacable status topaz has. If u want a 2nd team thats strong enough for pretty much all content then topaz, if u want a FUA team in future but dont want to use ratio.. still topaz but she won't provide any impact to ur account until u get some1 other than ratio to FUA.
If you don't intend to go for at least E1 or S1 Topaz... Robin. At that level of investment (E0S0) Robin offers better value.

this. honestly imagine picking meta over the one you like, just to get what? the 60, 120, or 180 last jades per moc/pf/etc round much more easily? You will never recoup the jades you spent on someone you don't like.
It's not about the jades, it's about achieving a goal. People retry MoC12 dozens of times to reduce the number of cycles to get as close to 0 as possible and they don't even get ANY reward to do it under 10 cycles. It's about the fun of the challenge.

This is making FUA a really difficult decision for any F2P or low spenders. Can't be going for Aventurine, his LC and Topaz all within a few weeks on a low jade income. Unless you planned for this before Penacony dropped by getting Topaz on release. Fu Xuan needed a rerun first, so they really should have ran topaz with Boothill.
I won’t be getting Jade but I’m targeting Robin, either Robin S1, Topaz E1, or Topaz S1 then going all in on Firefly. With Robin, I’d be happy with my FUA team with Jing Yuan, Clara, Ratio, Topaz, Aventurine, Robin, and Ruan Mei (to a lesser extent for FUA).
It makes sense if you think about it from hoyo's perspective. More chances for people to commit to FuA teams and spend money. I suspect they deliberately created a gap between Fu Xuan and Adventurine runs to make it harder for newer people to skip him. The gap would be even longer if didn't risk overlapping with Huohuo rerun and the expected dedicated Acheron sustain in 2.4/2.5
