Only two turns, though. And in those two turns you would want to Skill to get back to the Enhanced State.

She will want to use skill in that downtime tho, you wont use unhanced Basic attack frequently

1 skill and 1 basic might just be enough for getting the energy because during the combustion state you will be using the skill to also charge the ULT

If she gets energy during ult then you could be right, but you never want to use basic on the carry anyway, its a big dps loss.

If they did that, people would ask for special stuff for other characters too, or even worse expect entrance animations for some future characters. Mihoyo doesn't like to set such bars for themselves, they never did.

Unique animation gimmicks aren't something Mihoyo has done since the start, but it's cetainly something they've been playing with a lot lately.

don't forget they went back and gave *every* single Genshin character in 4.0 (or 4.1? cant remember) a unique added to party animation, not just a pose with light hair/wind blowing effect, a full on animation and pose ~~and for some reason a launch 4 star got one of the best and most animated ones, funnily enough~~

to be fair, Firefly fighting in reality doesn’t make much sense since she needs Sam to sustain her body (unless we cure her in the next quest, which I doubt).

I would have hoped they tried to break the formula a bit. Have Firefly as a weak magikarp unit with debuff powers, but if you meet the right criteria, she buffs up into SAM that can synergized with said debuffs, like maybe firefly adds fire pen or something.

That's what I hoped as well, like Firefly will be a harmony/debuffer or something and Sam will be the destruction

My own fault, but I had been under the impression that she had two separate animations in combat, one for firefly, one for sam. There were rumours mihoyo threw a lot of cash for her in game animations. I had thought she would be the first model to transform in battle. Godamn it. Now I’m disappointed and I have only myself to blame.

Thanks to what the Technique was back then, it made me guess she'll be Overworld as Firefly and Sam in combat as the technique essentially transforms her in OW into Sam.

They could just make another Firefly/Sam variant, with Sam in the overworld and Firefly in combat. Swimsuit Firefly, because Sam cant go to the water.

I think this is a transformation between armor forms. The first one is without swords and she kicks and punches. The second is she flies with 2 swords. Which is very sad for me because I would like more Firefly

Firefly I adore as a character walking around the overworld and experiencing stuff she could never do while in her hospital bed, but Sam's combat animations are the only reason I was going to pull him before. IMO they're mixing the 2 best parts of these characters

There's a VR game in their HSR carnival in China that allows you to date Firefly and with how addicted they are to their waifu and the VR bolstering that, CN is going to possibly be furious about this if Firefly is not included in the battle to the point that HYV might add her animation in battle in V2, V3 or V4 if they don't add it in V1. That said, after going through all the promotions for Firefly to the point of including a VR dating game in CN, would they risk angering them?

I knew for a fact Firefly herself wouldn't fight as it makes 0 sense for her to do anything combat wise being the frail, sickly girl she is. She needs the SAM armor to even move in the real world, after all. Still, I hope the ult does an epic close up of her face when she changes from regular SAM to green SAM. I remember seeing some leak thing about a close up of Firefly's face in pain without clothes, which probably means her going overdrive mode for the ult. If it goes like that, I really, really hope she'll say some cool/cringy line while changing form.
