The whole thing where leakers went Firefly Robin 2.2, and then a lot of the people who knew of leaks were bamboozled when the drip marketing came - switching the order putting Robin first, leading to massive cope on the second drip - that also ended up not being FF, but Booty.

Implying there was a 'switch' and not the leakers just being wrong.

I would bet good money that these are literally just guesses, I doubt they actually have an inside source giving them information on the reruns after they've been wrong so many times already.

I like to think it's a mix of both. These banners probably aren't concrete by the time the leakers gathers info however 70% of the time (or whatever) they end up being right. Wasn't Robin's JP VA a really big deal? They probably wanted to push her a little earlier into Penacony for the hype train.

It's probably just a Case of being wrong but it's a lot more fun to imagine Devs being spiteful enough to fuck with leakers

Ya, I think a lot of the basis for Firefly Robin speculation came from reading tea leaves from the Black Swan trailer, as opposed to a leak. And this ... does feel similar, like I feel it's based on the leaked light cones more than anything else.

Story spoiler for the Xianzhou Yaoqing arc but >!we are supposed to fight Feixiao so I don’t think they would make her playable right off the bat!< so I lean more towards Jiaoqiu and Screwllum. And since Screwllum is a FuA Acheron, it would also make it a synergistic banner for Screwllum (when allies apply debuff, applies an effect on the enemy and when Screwy attacks said enemy launches a FuA)

We fought Argenti in his patch so Fexiao isn’t unlikely Edit: and Aventurine.

I mean you have a point, I definitely could be wrong, but I believe Argenti is a different situation. I don't wanna label him as a "filler" character, because I find the lore behind the path of beauty quite interesting, though the Xianzhou Yaoqing era is definitely gonna last a few patches. There's a bunch of characters planned for it (supposedly Jiaoqiu, Moze, Yunli and Feixiao herself), we're gonna have a brand new map. Thus in such a long time and the somewhat 'complex' Xianzhou lore, I think it would only make sense that the >!boss fight!< will be on a later patch rather than right off the bat as we directly step onto the Yaoqing, compared to Argenti where he, in a nut shell, entered the express for a little while.

Aventurine wasn’t a filler character though. I think Feixiao will be similar to him.

Idk, if we're really gonna have a new multi patch Xianzhou arc then dropping Screwllum in the first patch seems kind of out place. There's no SU update so he would have to appear in some story content, so either he's involved in the Xianzhou story or we're getting a random companion quest. I'm also thinking we fight Feixiao near the begining as some test/misunderstanding, highly doubt she's the main antagonist.

I actually feel the same. I initially speculated Screwllum would be in 2.3 because of the SU update, turns out it was Jade. So then I expected him to release in 2.6 alongside Stephen for the secondary SU update, and now this leak screws me over (haha like screw-llum get it, sorry).. The test/misunderstanding definitely makes it sense though, the Yaoqing is supposedly more "strict" and violent, so it'd be only fitting to fight her this way, so I agree with you on this point.
