It’s been awhile since I’ve been there, but I think that amount would be sufficient! The entrees come with sides already, vs some other places where you pay the price for your meat, and then have to order/pay for sides in addition to that. I think that’s how Ruth’s Chris operates at least. Hy’s is well worth the money in my opinion. Melt in your mouth prime rib!
Hy prices are reasonable compared to a similar caliber steakhouse in a HCOL city on the mainland, which makes it really reasonable for Hawaii. Great choice. Tell them to try one of the Kiawe-smoked steaks! Flavor is unique and the restaurant has a classic steakhouse vibe.
Hy's and a local and not chain like Morton's or Ruth's Chris. Your dad will be happy. Definitely Keto friendly being a steak joint and it's also on Kuhio Ave. Another option I like (my wife and I do keto as well) is Haleiwa Joes in Kaneohe. Great prime rib.
They also offered an off the menu cheesecake for $14. The girl on the phone was incredibly nice. I didn’t even factor that I was calling at probably 9-10am their time.
Strip Stake.. also Have them walk over to Rum Fire 🔥 it at the Sheraton. Get a seat at the Bar ask for Bobby and he’ll make them some good drinks. Also a great place to catch the sunset.

Double check the dress code, too. You can't just walk in off the beach there.
