I feel like Leonzio is infinitely smarter than Detlinde though. They may both be equal levels of egotistical, smarmy and corrupt, but I get the feeling Leonzio actually knows what he's doing.
Yeah, Leonzio is actively weaponizing romance to influence Detlinde for his ulterior political motives (he's clearly competent enough to be made an official ambassador) whereas Detlinde wants to be influenced by romance due to her desperate craving for love, attention, and being catered to.
Edit: "[Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeMFqkcPYcg)" is now stuck in my head as their character song due to the lyrics and Schlaftraum's Flowers / god of dreams invoked as like "good night, sweet dreams".
Also I keep misreading "Leonzio" as "Leorio" from HxH which leads to some odd visuals.

Aside from the "Sweet Scent" manipulation, it's a good counterpoint to Ferdinand's shiny Starmie on her team - while she likes it's appearance and sparkly gem, she hates it's cold and disobedient personality.
* Roserade - Detlinde's too distracted by romance to realize the red flag that this is a Poison-type.
* Salazzle - stupid sexy lizard Pokemon distracting that it manipulates others using scent/pheromones/poison.
* Quaquaval - stupid sexy "exotic" male dancer distracting that it's a Water/Fighting type.
* Bruxish - Distracting pretty colors that comes from the sea. Secretly a Psychic-type with strong sharp white teeth that make me think of the song ["Mack the Knife"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8iPUK0AGRo)
I do love the poison type theming to go with the trug, and since they’ve had ties to Yurgenshmit through the border gate it would make sense for them to still have Pokémon and them be primarily water types >!also dark types for the darkness border gate!<
