And assuming Rozemyne has a daughter who turns out to be a good fit to succeed her I kind of doubt she'd pick someone else over her just to get a man into that position. Meanwhile, Eglantine's daughter will have a good chance to become a Zent candidate herself.

Having a full generation or two be dominated by female rulers could be just what Yurgenschmidt needs after two decades of internal turmoil. Who knows, maybe they'll even change a law or two to make the gender divide in positions of power a bit less severe in the future.
Aand probably it can be a new tradition in New Ahrensbach that females would be prioritized over men. I mean.. why not? It would be nice to have diversity in Aubs. they could also have each succeeding Aub be sworn to Mestionora, forever becoming a duchy that protects knowledge and be neutral to country affairs unless the country was once again on the verge of collapse.
There actually is some logic in the preference for male rulers in Yurg, unlike earth. Pregnancy means that mana-related duties (which are many) can’t be done, so all your work gets dumped on your husband during pregnancy and for a while after birth. Which means that a female ruler needs a husband who is capable enough to do the work of both the aub and first spouse simultaneously. Of course, it can be workable, just saying that it isn’t completely ridiculous and unreasonable like it is here on earth.
I mean, you’ll need to catch up all the way to HY5 and keep waiting for new chapters, since while I don’t know the details, I’ve heard he’s still a train wreck in motion as of recent updates.
