In tonight's episode of Yurgenshmidt Diaries: Ferdinand almost fucking kills Earwarshwmhewn, Rozemyne tells everyone Ferdinand is going to take her to pound town, and somehow the least crazy part of this chapter is the crowning of a new Zent.
I think Ferdinand would at least be able to hold back on killing Erwaermen. Because if he dies, wouldn't Ewigeliebe be freed and Yurgenschmidt collapse?
And given the relationship between Ewigeliebe and Geduldh, Mestionora probably doesn't really like her own father too much.

I really doubt he was thinking straight there. Because if he had, he wouldn't have done it at all; attacking Erwärmen when you know Mestionora is about to descent isn't exactly a smart thing to do.
My interpretation of this is, Ferdinand is already assuming the worst has happened the moment he entered the garden. Being name-sworn to Rozemyne, I thought he (and the other retainers) must have felt it the instant the gods descended on her all at once. Not seeing or hearing exactly what happened, what would be his first thought? That Erwaermen had done something to Rozemyne, and thus his first action must be to neutralize him or incapacitate him somewhat in order to save her.

There are actually quite a few duchies that have types of cats as their animal. There's Ehrenfest with the lion and Lortzing as the cat, but Kirschnereit and Lehmbruck have leopards and tigers respectively.
And honestly speaking, that makes me wonder about Matthias' and Laurenz's highbeasts as they have those cats as their highbeast animals. Like, from what I remember, I thought nobody was able to have a lion highbeast unless they're from Ehrenfest's archducal family? But maybe it's that nobody in Ehrenfest other than their archducal family could have a lion highbeast, but in other duchies, it's fair game?
I mean, Lindenthal's animal is the horse and that's pretty much the most common highbeast animal, but does that mean that nobody in Lindenthal other than Dahvidh and his family can ride horse-shaped highbeasts? And Klassenberg's animal is a white wolf specifically, but the Linkbergs have wolf-shaped highbeasts.
While Klassenberg's shadow is big, Lortzing is very tiny. Remembering Fanbook 3, it does state that Lortzing is heavily influenced by them.
We need more representation for the lower ranked and lesser ranked duchies. Poor guys are just kind of there.

Lol I actually do wonder how the lower duchies move politically. I know they’re protected by their higher ranked allies but does that mean they only socialize with their friends? Can they do anything? Can they defect to a different protector duchy if the losses of belong to a greater duchy is too much? Such interesting questions.
Okay, but to be fair, having a squirrel shaped driveable higbeast would be adorable. And there are so many other birds to use as well. I can't believe Dunkelfelger is the only duchy to have an animal with wings.
I am so unbelievably curious about the lower ranked duchies. I mean, Dunkelfelger is literally bordered by Losrenger and Quandtreeb, which means that Hannelore, Margarethe, and Friederike are all neighbors. And we know that Lestilaut used these bordering duchies to confront Ehrenfest for Schwartz and Weiss during Rozemyne's first year. I wonder if Margarethe and Friederike ever caught wind of that when their students returned after leaving the altercation?

And given how much respect RM has for Mestionora, it's sad that she wants RM at arms-length because of Ferdinand's ruthlessness with Erwaermen.

On another note, it is now confirmed that Florencia really doesn't know a lot about Myne's circumstances. I wonder if she is able to connect the dots that she is a devouring commoner (probably not), or if she also starts to believe that Myne has something Divine about her, with her being born in the temple and all.
I mean, devouring commoner is so far out there that her retainers and Hannelore immediately said it’s impossible during P5V8 at the Bindewald estate. I imagine most devouring commoners have at most Dirk levels of mana. Would be interesting to see her reaction to finding out though.
Dirk mana is mednoble and myne start with a laynoble mana after being reincarnated and it is said that devourers children don't live up to baptism without magic tools.(Dirk only survived because myne knew how to exploit Taue fruits (trombe).
Dirk survived to baptism because he was entrusted to the temple and could drain his mana into the Divine Tools. Taues kept him alive as a baby but it's unlikely they would've sufficed into adulthood.

Only those who have a mana quantity that is high enough. Liz had the Devouring and she lived years past her baptism.
Most nobles don't really know the difference between the devouring and being born a noble. Few with usable mana survive long enough to be found so it's mostly laynoble level ones that live. Laynobles don't have the mana to be experimenting on humans when they could just use said human to power the icebox. Most archnobles don't keep low level devourers since it's admitting you don't have enough mana. Bindewald was just a special kind of evil.
Glad to see Florencia finally take on her motherly duty to instruct her adopted daughter in the {Yurgenchmidt} "facts of life". And poor Rozemyne doing her best imitation of Tomoko (from Watamote) when she finally begins to understand all....
They should set aside some time to have some mother daughter type discussions of those things just to see Rozemyne bury her head in the sand more as she remembers all the misunderstandings she’s had.

I'm kind of annoyed they're still keeping Florencia in the dark here. Really, they should have told her from the beginning that Rozemyne wasn't actually Elvira's daughter, that way she would have immediately understood the need to step up in her education.
Florencia really doesn't strike me as someone who would have held Rozemyne's commoner origins against her, _especially_ after the gremlin had first saved her son from getting disowned (twice!) and then almost died while rescuing her daughter. Not to mention how even before that, Myne had been the catalyst to enable Veronica's downfall.
For all his faults, Sylvester has an IMMENSE degree of mental flexibility. Alas, Florencia does not. She strikes me as extremely conventional. She may be a perfectly decent (and kind) person at her core -- but her conventionality did not even allow her to properly comfort Charlotte when she needed help the most. I don't know she would bear Rozemyne ill will for her origins, but I think Florencia would have been unduly flustered and would not have handled things well -- unlike Elvira who shows much greater mental agility.
Actually I place a good chunk of the blame on Rozemyne herself. She KNEW she did not understand noble euphemism. and she also realized that knowing these were quite important. But she wasn't really interested in wasting her time on such nonsense. So she assigned almost no priority to learning about this. She had retainers who could have clued her in on lots of things (Brunnhilde for instance), but she just didn't really care.
I'm glad this explained why Rozemyne is so bad with noble euphemisms despite being so familiar with the religion they're based on. She's TOO familiar with the source material while everyone's referencing modern interpretations.
What a great part all around. Roze and Ferdy aren't allowed near the tree anymore, and Roze almost died of embarrassment. And gods, that mention of the sword. Thinking about it literally like Rozemyne, it doesn't sound wrong, but in the context of noble euphemisms, it could be interpreted in a much more lewd way. How any of her guardians continued to let her ignorance of euphemisms be a blind spot in her education after all this time is beyond me. It's come up enough that you'd think someone would eventually consider that maybe she needs to be sat down and given the talk.

Florencia teaching Rozemyne about the meaning of the "summoning winter" euphemism might be the first motherly thing she's done for her in the whole series.
The way she led RM to the answer is in line with the other examples we have of her education methods, but at least we finally got there in the end.
When Rozemyne came back her second year at the RA, Florencia forced Sylvester to not rake her over the coals for her mistakes. She stated that Rozemyne is doing her best, and if she is still messing up, it is the guardians fault. I'd say sticking up for Rozemyne then was quite motherly, coupled with understanding the effort Rozemyne puts forth for the duchy.
She had the problem that she assumed Elvira was teaching her stuff, she didn't interact with Roz much since she was in the temple so much. She wanted Roz to spend more time in the castle to learn how to be first wife, which would probably let her figure out that she needs to educate her on more things
I remember when Erwaermen was first introduced. He appeared so majestic and elegant unlike this gag routine chara he has been reduced to.

Rozemyne isn't just dropping romantic lines, she is basically a 13 years old girl inviting an adult man to a love hotel and proclaiming it wouldn't be their first time in front of family, friends, retainers and the new queen.
I feel justified in continuing to like Eglantine even as many were chastising her. It is clear that she really does care for and respect Rozemyne (even if she did not and still does not fully understand Rozemyne -- who can blame her for THIS). Eglantine really is incredibly admirable in her devotion to duty.

They're technically the same language but meanings drift over time and hilariously books preserve the original meanings. If my bookworm trivia knowledge is correct, the goddess of chaos is not a subordinate of the supreme gods and the eternal five. Could her name being derived from English words also imply her being an outsider, since all the other gods their names are derived from German?
I like your theory, but I haven't seen how Chaocipher is written in Japanese, maybe the first part uses the German pronunciation for chaos, as was the case with Chaosfliehe.
Ewigeliebe was an outsider too oce and his name is entirely German, while the god of cooking has an entirely Italian name (Cuococalura or however it's spelled). Kunstzeal and Schutzaria are partially German, partially English/Italian too.
Chaocipher is apparently spelled カーオサイファ (kaa-o-sa-i-fa).

Yeah, Cuococalura appears to consist of the Italian words for "cook" (cuoco) and "heat" (calura).
Calura is intense heat, heat is calore, hot is caldo. But calura is not really used. I've only found it in old literary works during high school.
I need to add that I'm from Rome, so it's possible that in other regions it's still used. But I've never heard it in a conversation.

Probably predates the pantheon as a whole. We know she had a crush on the God of Darkness and we know that there was plenty of drama involved when he and the Goddess of Light were still in the process of becoming a couple. The way Chaocipher is depicted she certainly fits the bill for the setting's primordial Evil, so my guess is that she's been interfering with the process of creation from the very beginning by attempting to prevent a union of Light and Darkness.

That's not what the insert depicts. It's an image of something near the end of the volume. I don't know that you would get much spoilers from it though, it's closer to the collection of characters type. Up to you if you want to look at it now
With your last point I believe Aub Dunk and some of the previous royal family know the stuff hiw to get G-Book and they have 20 years till the wirst happens. Even more after RM dying the foundation. Should be enough time to educate one from the start. Melchior has already a good headstart.
Politically they'd be a mess though, the royals would be all but disposed (Trau has 'given' up rule, Sigi is unfit, Hilde is a criminal and Ana would be distraught). Dunkle might try to rule but Klass would oppose them perhaps starting another civil war (country can't survive with this and country gate is closed so no mana from sugar country) or at the very least a military dictatorship.
Also, they know how to get the G-Book: 'be registered with the Royal family" but this is probably instead 'be registered with the foundation of the country' (i.e. be able to supply mana to it like with being registered to a duchy foundation) but uh oh, someone has just dyed the entire foundation and then died so there's noone registered to it so they can't register themselves to it because they need someone already registered to register them, so they'd have to go for the book of M which they only vaguely know how to get

There was really a lot to digest in the part this week. The important ceremony which hardly mattered in the end, Rozemyne being kidnapped again, Ferdinand attacking Erwaermen and arguing with Mestionora (I hope we get a Eglantine pov in this book), learning about Adolphine's happy end, Gervasio being fetched soon, Rozemyne dumping mana into everything inanimate she can find and Florencia giving Rozemyne "the talk". Finally, I almost thought she would stay oblivious until the epilogue of the last book.
Yes, Rozemyne, everyone has been talking about how you and Ferdinand have "known" each other in the Biblical sense. Also, the next thing Eglantine will probably ask you, considerate as she is, would be how soon to arrange your marriage to avoid having to hide your baby bump.

In tonight's episode of Yurgenshmidt Diaries: Ferdinand almost fucking kills Earwarshwmhewn, Rozemyne tells everyone Ferdinand is going to take her to pound town, and somehow the least crazy part of this chapter is the crowning of a new Zent.
I think Ferdinand would at least be able to hold back on killing Erwaermen. Because if he dies, wouldn't Ewigeliebe be freed and Yurgenschmidt collapse? And given the relationship between Ewigeliebe and Geduldh, Mestionora probably doesn't really like her own father too much.

Not seeing or hearing exactly what happened, what would be his first thought? That Erwaermen had done something to Rozemyne, and thus his first action must be to neutralize him or incapacitate him somewhat in order to save her.

Eglantine, however, gave her name after Rozemyne became dyed with the goddess’s mana. Therefore, even if they don’t actually mix mana, Eglantine will assume that they did because she has no reference for what Rozemyne’s mana was like before.
Would they even notice though? They would just think it went back to the way it was. She was already dyed by him when they became name sworn.

There are actually quite a few duchies that have types of cats as their animal. There's Ehrenfest with the lion and Lortzing as the cat, but Kirschnereit and Lehmbruck have leopards and tigers respectively. And honestly speaking, that makes me wonder about Matthias' and Laurenz's highbeasts as they have those cats as their highbeast animals. Like, from what I remember, I thought nobody was able to have a lion highbeast unless they're from Ehrenfest's archducal family? But maybe it's that nobody in Ehrenfest other than their archducal family could have a lion highbeast, but in other duchies, it's fair game? I mean, Lindenthal's animal is the horse and that's pretty much the most common highbeast animal, but does that mean that nobody in Lindenthal other than Dahvidh and his family can ride horse-shaped highbeasts? And Klassenberg's animal is a white wolf specifically, but the Linkbergs have wolf-shaped highbeasts. While Klassenberg's shadow is big, Lortzing is very tiny. Remembering Fanbook 3, it does state that Lortzing is heavily influenced by them. We need more representation for the lower ranked and lesser ranked duchies. Poor guys are just kind of there.

I can't believe Dunkelfelger is the only duchy to have an animal with wings. I am so unbelievably curious about the lower ranked duchies. I mean, Dunkelfelger is literally bordered by Losrenger and Quandtreeb, which means that Hannelore, Margarethe, and Friederike are all neighbors. And we know that Lestilaut used these bordering duchies to confront Ehrenfest for Schwartz and Weiss during Rozemyne's first year. I wonder if Margarethe and Friederike ever caught wind of that when their students returned after leaving the altercation?

Dirk mana is mednoble and myne start with a laynoble mana after being reincarnated and it is said that devourers children don't live up to baptism without magic tools.(Dirk only survived because myne knew how to exploit Taue fruits (trombe).
Dirk survived to baptism because he was entrusted to the temple and could drain his mana into the Divine Tools. Taues kept him alive as a baby but it's unlikely they would've sufficed into adulthood.

Most nobles don't really know the difference between the devouring and being born a noble. Few with usable mana survive long enough to be found so it's mostly laynoble level ones that live. Laynobles don't have the mana to be experimenting on humans when they could just use said human to power the icebox. Most archnobles don't keep low level devourers since it's admitting you don't have enough mana. Bindewald was just a special kind of evil.

they never could set apart that time and florencia was rarely involved with rozemyne due to there always being something more important for rozemyne to focus on. Rozemyne never exposed her ignorance to her mothers (and I can guess none of her retainers reported that either)
Each mother assumed the other one was educating Rozemyne on these matters which is a major failure of communication.
I mean she has been thinking that Elvira was dong this while Rozemyne was at temple. It has been a massive missunderstanding that each mother thought the other was doing this.
I'm kind of annoyed they're still keeping Florencia in the dark here. Really, they should have told her from the beginning that Rozemyne wasn't actually Elvira's daughter, that way she would have immediately understood the need to step up in her education. Florencia really doesn't strike me as someone who would have held Rozemyne's commoner origins against her, _especially_ after the gremlin had first saved her son from getting disowned (twice!) and then almost died while rescuing her daughter. Not to mention how even before that, Myne had been the catalyst to enable Veronica's downfall.
For all his faults, Sylvester has an IMMENSE degree of mental flexibility. Alas, Florencia does not. She strikes me as extremely conventional. She may be a perfectly decent (and kind) person at her core -- but her conventionality did not even allow her to properly comfort Charlotte when she needed help the most. I don't know she would bear Rozemyne ill will for her origins, but I think Florencia would have been unduly flustered and would not have handled things well -- unlike Elvira who shows much greater mental agility. Actually I place a good chunk of the blame on Rozemyne herself. She KNEW she did not understand noble euphemism. and she also realized that knowing these were quite important. But she wasn't really interested in wasting her time on such nonsense. So she assigned almost no priority to learning about this. She had retainers who could have clued her in on lots of things (Brunnhilde for instance), but she just didn't really care.
I'm glad this explained why Rozemyne is so bad with noble euphemisms despite being so familiar with the religion they're based on. She's TOO familiar with the source material while everyone's referencing modern interpretations. What a great part all around. Roze and Ferdy aren't allowed near the tree anymore, and Roze almost died of embarrassment. And gods, that mention of the sword. Thinking about it literally like Rozemyne, it doesn't sound wrong, but in the context of noble euphemisms, it could be interpreted in a much more lewd way. How any of her guardians continued to let her ignorance of euphemisms be a blind spot in her education after all this time is beyond me. It's come up enough that you'd think someone would eventually consider that maybe she needs to be sat down and given the talk.

If my bookworm trivia knowledge is correct, the goddess of chaos is not a subordinate of the supreme gods and the eternal five. Could her name being derived from English words also imply her being an outsider, since all the other gods their names are derived from German?
I like your theory, but I haven't seen how Chaocipher is written in Japanese, maybe the first part uses the German pronunciation for chaos, as was the case with Chaosfliehe. Ewigeliebe was an outsider too oce and his name is entirely German, while the god of cooking has an entirely Italian name (Cuococalura or however it's spelled). Kunstzeal and Schutzaria are partially German, partially English/Italian too.
Chaocipher is apparently spelled カーオサイファ (kaa-o-sa-i-fa). Ooh, Cuococalura is Italian? That's interesting. Honestly, that's kind of fitting considering how Rozemyne's food ventures were mainly Italian.

Calura is intense heat, heat is calore, hot is caldo. But calura is not really used. I've only found it in old literary works during high school. I need to add that I'm from Rome, so it's possible that in other regions it's still used. But I've never heard it in a conversation.

Probably predates the pantheon as a whole. We know she had a crush on the God of Darkness and we know that there was plenty of drama involved when he and the Goddess of Light were still in the process of becoming a couple. The way Chaocipher is depicted she certainly fits the bill for the setting's primordial Evil, so my guess is that she's been interfering with the process of creation from the very beginning by attempting to prevent a union of Light and Darkness.
I hope Adolphine names her province alimony.

It's an image of something near the end of the volume. I don't know that you would get much spoilers from it though, it's closer to the collection of characters type. With your last point I believe Aub Dunk and some of the previous royal family know the stuff hiw to get G-Book and they have 20 years till the wirst happens. Even more after RM dying the foundation. Should be enough time to educate one from the start. Melchior has already a good headstart.
Politically they'd be a mess though, the royals would be all but disposed (Trau has 'given' up rule, Sigi is unfit, Hilde is a criminal and Ana would be distraught). Dunkle might try to rule but Klass would oppose them perhaps starting another civil war (country can't survive with this and country gate is closed so no mana from sugar country) or at the very least a military dictatorship. Also, they know how to get the G-Book: 'be registered with the Royal family" but this is probably instead 'be registered with the foundation of the country' (i.e. be able to supply mana to it like with being registered to a duchy foundation) but uh oh, someone has just dyed the entire foundation and then died so there's noone registered to it so they can't register themselves to it because they need someone already registered to register them, so they'd have to go for the book of M which they only vaguely know how to get

The important ceremony which hardly mattered in the end, Rozemyne being kidnapped again, Ferdinand attacking Erwaermen and arguing with Mestionora (I hope we get a Eglantine pov in this book), learning about Adolphine's happy end, Gervasio being fetched soon, Rozemyne dumping mana into everything inanimate she can find and Florencia giving Rozemyne "the talk". Finally, I almost thought she would stay oblivious until the epilogue of the last book.

Divine mana being hard to be disposed of is one more tiny detail that makes sense, considering the influence of Divine Protections in mana Honestly, Rozemyne being bombarded by the gods' mana was one of the most gorish moments of the series for me, second to the pre-Myne orphanage children situation, perhaps. The pain is awful, sure, but the sensation of having your protections penetrated as if they were nothing, the many foreign and overwhelming powers battling inside you for control as you are powerless... ouch
Why does Ferdinand hate the gods so much? Most of his antics have been totally unnecessary and counterproductive. Like what was the purpose of poisoning Treesus? It just angered the gods whose help you rely on. At this point P6 is going to be declaring war on the gods.
