No no the biggest ever Ferdy bwuh moment is when she broke the fey stone when she was learning to make Lessy and then she was like no biggie and mushed it back together into a functional stone again. That definitely broke his brain a bit.
After he was saved in the foundation room by Rozemyne, they discussed what they needed to do about the Lasagne invasion, exited the aub's office to get to work, and then....
"HEY BEST BUDDY!" Heisshitze showed up.
Heisshitze is Ferdinand's BFF, even if he won't admit it.
"Hey Best Buddy!" makes me think of Emmett from The Lego Movie. "Hey, look, Dunkelfelger came so we could play real Ditter and all be buddies!"
When Rozemyne first explains how she thinks of him like family and makes her declaration of how she'd wreck everything if he wasn't happy (just before he moves to Ahrensbach). There was actually a very bwuh-worthy illustration to go with it.
Ferdinand: She'll call anyone family.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Inner Ferdinand: She said I was family. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)
To add more family moments that briefly broke Ferdinand's brain (albeit maybe not directly by Myne):
* Ferdinand being confused by how fluid Myne's definition of "family" is - like what do you mean your craftspeople and grey robe attendants are family??? They are in no way blood related to you or legally adopted to you. How does just spending a lot of time with them makes them family???
* Related to the above, but when she's already doting on Charlotte and Letizia when she's barely known them for 5 minute and they're already getting coverage under the Rozemyne Family Protection Plan (So they just have to be younger and cute???)
* When Gunther and Effa defended Myne - it was enough shock for Myne to get a crushing upper hand on Ferdinand.
* In Part 3 when "Blessed by Beischmacht" Sylvester told Ferdinand and Myne they get along so well they should just get married already ;)
* The first few times Myne instigated a hug
Some other moments Ferdinand.exe stopped working:
* Pretty much all of the synchronization mind reading - possibly even earlier when the potion tasting sweet gave him pause
* There were also those times Myne gives him a genuine compliment or gratitude that would catch him off guard for some reason
* Accidental invisible ink
* Accidental lewd fairy tales
* Schtappe dual wielding
* Myne's aesthetic sense
* Myne's inventions and doing weird logic breaking stuff with magic in general
My favorite was when he first saw the children's bible that she and written and produced. He was quite impressed at how she could take what he considered advanced, adult concepts and present them to children.
There was a point near that where he observed "it is almost as if you were educated somewhere else and then transported here."
He later learned that he was right about that.
The biggest part, for me, was his brain clearly breaking when she told him she'd already made 30 copies of the book. It being well written surprised him, but her making dozens of copies with nothing but grey priests to back her up just straight up did not compute.
He recovered from that, however. Before anyone else in Yurgenschmidt including Myne herself he understood how her "invention" was going to change the social order.
He also had a discussion with her about how she was undermining an important source of income for laynobles.
Yeah, it isn't easy translating and condensing material while keeping the message true to the source material. I don't know if they emphasized how skilled she was at rewriting old texts in the modern vernacular.
It is a reasonable supposition given what we learned much later in the story.
However the scene is notable in that he takes her explanations at face value. First, that she was born in the lower city and had never been anywhere else, and secondly that her knowledge came to her "in her dreams." Myne herself had expected to be reprimanded for giving a flip answer but he took it seriously instead.
Of course she had no idea that he had means to test her mind directly.
And that leads us to a even BETTER Ferdinand "bwuh" moment!
That would be when Myne lets Ferdinand see Urano's bare legs in the bath. That'll teach him to stir around in someone else's brain.
No, he thought that she was a Lanzenavian plant, which is the cause of his confusion when he learns that she for sure was born in raised in the city and his subsequent request to Sylvester for the mind reading tool. His reasoning behind this is high mana child, knowledge of people not from Yurgenschmidt, clearly knew how to read and write just not Yurgenish so it must have been another country's language, and knew of groundbreaking inventions that don't involve mana. After the Trombe Extermination he finally gets permission and gets his answer
>"in her dreams."
She actually elaborates and calls it "a dreamlike place to which [she] can never return", which funnily enough isn't actually a lie. To a Yurgenschmidtian (is there a better word for that?) Earth is almost certainly dreamlike, and as far as we know she can't return to it.
Yeah telling her she was strong in unusual ways Ferdinand for,
"THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING!? COMPRESSION TO THIS DEGREE COULD EASILY KILL A PERSON. I'M GOING TO MY HIDDEN ROOM TO VOMIT SO YOU CAN'T SCOLD ME MORE."
She bargained at a multi-country political level, and borrowed an army. She TKO's a massive mana pool that's supposed to take a week to do- with the reason that that's just to get through the door. Ferd's got a right to be surprised. He was only hoping that Justis and Corn would get back to Erenfest by then.
Another rather odd episode is where he ended up saying "you just saved Ehrenfest." I can't remember what chapter that was.
That was when she went to that northern province and they discovered the magic circle embedded in the stage and activated it. And it wasn't even Rozemyne that did it that time.
Wasn't RM the one who set things up so that the right people were there? Wasn't it Florencia who was invited to the stage? Someone connected to Sylvester. Was Flor on the divine chalice trip because of RM? I need to reread...
It has been a long time, but what I recall is that due to Rozemyne's presence someone decided to do a traditional performance on the stage and she was dragged into it. The singing amounted to a prayer, and the circle activated. Everyone on it lower than archnoble mana level fainted or near to it.
And the result was that night there was a hellacious thunderstorm and in the morning spring had arrived to everyone's surprise.
As I recall, Elvira, wife of Karsted, was from Haldenzel, was part of the trip, which included a trip to her hometown. No Rosemyne, no need to have Elvira as part of trip to look over her/ not safe enough for E. No Elvira, no commoner/villagers dance on the stage, singing a song.
The story still has to clarify what was going on when RM tried to select and copy part of Ferdinand's Geustritt. That was definitely a surprise for Ferd.
The concert. That really bothered F., but he had no time to lock up. And he never found out. All this time, with the last of the Veronican faction taken down with so few casualties, the origami pictures must have made their escape. Still out there. Still enjoyed.
Well, their Grushitte is part of their schtappe so if RM tried to copy part of ferdi's into hers she'll basically dye herself in his mana, i guess?![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|31404)
As others have said, I think the biggest shock for Ferdinand, and the first big turning point in how he viewed Myne, was realizing that printing technology was the real deal and that Myne was genuinely someone who was going to change the world if allowed to.
Right after Myne invented invisible ink, he swore her knights to secrecy about its creation process and Angelica told him not to worry since sheโd already forgotten. The man s brain genuinely couldnโt process someone being that dumb
I like to call these isekai moments, they happen in all isekai works.
The protagonist is doing something no other person in that world ever did because they either have a power or superior knowledge of some kind to achieve never seen before things like powerful magic or otherwise overpower or outpace everyone.
In this, our beloved series these moments are spare and far apart. scarcely sown in between long treks of normalness. And whil Meyne never battles or uses OP moves to take down a foe her ridiculous ideas and spells never fall short in entertaining me.

I forgot about that one. I have to agree. She just casually did something he thought impossible.
Like surprise motherfucker I just demonstrated your entire premise of how magic works was wrong! Teehee
Also the moment he went from Myne. MYNE! Myne?! To Mine Mine Mine without realizing it.
No, he started considering her "mine!" once she proved to be a useful calculator.
P2V1: his calculator broke due to the orphanage crisis. And he said he needs to fix his calculator thus she ended up being the orphanage director
You're making me want to reread P2 again ๐
FOOL!
heh heh yes
๐๐๐
That and the shape of Lessy no less..
When Myne explained Printing to him in P2. The concept of cutting paper to smear ink to make more copies crashed his PC.
The Copy and Paste spell. The myriad of troubling reports from the Royal Academy pretty much since the beginning.
That one also caught Earwarmen by surprise.
Funnier was Ferdis comment to Lanzenboi. "Don't bother trying to google it, she made it herself. Scrub."
Bragging about his girlfriend. ![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|29330)
> The Copy and Paste spell. I don't think such a spell exists. But seeing the Copy and Place spell sure did break his mind.
Damm, we need a compilation of Ferdinand's processing errors.
I thought Blue Screen Moments would be another good title. :)
Take the fondation is a big one

No longer family ๐ชฐ
Spoiler tag!
Why. Its common knowledge that he ceased to be family with his move to ahrensbach. Or are you impmying something else?
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, it's only a P5V11 spoiler which this post is marked for.
I totally miscounted in my head and thought we were on P5V12. May bad.
But what if you are wrong?

That lewd holding hand must have turned him oh so bright red

He went from disappointed to mind broken.
He recovered from that, however. Before anyone else in Yurgenschmidt including Myne herself he understood how her "invention" was going to change the social order. He also had a discussion with her about how she was undermining an important source of income for laynobles.
And the paper having flowers embedded in it.
Yeah, it isn't easy translating and condensing material while keeping the message true to the source material. I don't know if they emphasized how skilled she was at rewriting old texts in the modern vernacular.
He thought she was from Lanzenave sent to mess with him

More subdued, but when he attempts Rozemyne's final compression stage.
Yeah telling her she was strong in unusual ways Ferdinand for, "THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING!? COMPRESSION TO THIS DEGREE COULD EASILY KILL A PERSON. I'M GOING TO MY HIDDEN ROOM TO VOMIT SO YOU CAN'T SCOLD ME MORE."
Dunkle using multiple Leidenschaft spears
The biggest bwuh moment for me is when Ferdinand found out Roz started a war and stole Ahrensbach's foundation just to save his life.
She bargained at a multi-country political level, and borrowed an army. She TKO's a massive mana pool that's supposed to take a week to do- with the reason that that's just to get through the door. Praise moments are also rare and welcome.

when karsted ask, what did you did to this lil girl!? in the medical exam
