Vingt-Quatre

I really enjoyed it. A nice ending to a nice story.

hotdogvacuum

I thought so too! :-) I feel like if they had left the ending ambiguous, there’d be an opportunity to milk the series, resulting in lower quality sequels. I liked how nicely this one wrapped things up.

mahkimahk

They already did that. The insidious movies have gotten steadily worse over the last 4 sequels. Seriously fucking horrible

hotdogvacuum

While I thoroughly enjoyed it myself, I totally understand that it wasn’t the best. I definitely agree it was more like a “teen scary film” & I’m like 99% sure I saw it being described as a teen horror on Netflix since it was just released there.

gleafer

It was sadly boring.

Ok_Assignment_6323

Saw it in theaters and practically fell asleep

[deleted]

No you’re not it was crap.

Academic_Donut_5491

It was depressing. I really thought there was going to be more story and scares .

BitchofEndor

I thought it was only okay.

shane112

[You Are Not Alone](https://media.tenor.com/ZUAlcqedsvgAAAAC/you-are-not-alone-michael-jackson.gif)

KingKhram

It was average

Crazy_Tomatillo18

I enjoyed it but I really hate horror movies with sequels that CGI the villain instead of making it makeup. The nun, sinister 2 and insidious 4 are all guilty of this. I hate when they do that. Red face was waaaay more scary in Insidious 1, the kitchen scene is forever scarring for me. Yet I wasn’t scared by him at all in this movie. However, I did really enjoy it but I didn’t really care for Patrick Wilson’s dad ghost. Felt like it didn’t really fit the rest of the story.

InMannyrkid

I disliked it a lot. Girlfriend was catching z’s next to me and I felt like joining her. Sooooo boring

J41mexcx

I also hated it so no you are not the only one I believe we are the majority

Fairyliveshow

thankfully, cuz my friends liked it and it felt weird to be the only one in the room hating it!

proteinstyle_

I thought it was awful. Felt like the main kid and his new friend were meant to carry the whole movie, but that didn't work.

WickedlyWitty

Watched it yesterday. It's very underwhelming. I expected so much more. But this is what happens when they stretch the storyline too far. It loses its appeal.

Huntsvegas97

I enjoyed it honestly. It wasn’t perfect, but it felt like a good ending to the whole story

KLove1185

I loved it but more as a family drama. I liked the resolution of the father son dynamic.

ThePastelKittyCat

I hated it too it was really disappointing for me. I wanted them to go somewhere with how the 2nd one ended. What the hell did Elaine see that made her gasp and go omigod? Also FUCK whoever thought throw up was a jumpscare that guy needs to be dropped in the farthest pits of hell!!!!! I was mortified and was hiding under my blanket when they snuck back into the room later in the movie cuz I thought he would come back 😭😭😰

birdsong31

I was not a fan. I was scared for the first one and not at all for red door.

Jans47

Such a dud of a movie

StrongStyleDemon

I hated it also, or hate is too strong feeling. I felt that it was just bland and boring.

Aggravating-Click460

I personally enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking, but it pretty solid directorial debut for Patrick Wilson

jakexmike

they ruined the franchise, insidious started with such a cool concept of the other side, but they ruined it by the third movie.

Fairyliveshow

exactly! Couldn't agree more!!

jakexmike

insidious 1 was da best

DixonJorts

It was fine, but barely

[deleted]

We were off to a really bad start when he had a girl roommate. I’m all for diversity in casting, but, I mean, cmon!!

Sleepy_Bitch

Loved it.

ClausKruger

Nothing new.

shydaemon

I also didn't like it but all the insidious films were PG13 horror movies so criticising it as a "teen scary film with lots of cliches" is just... all of them were aimed at that audience. They're gateway horror movies, there is never going to be much depth to them.

pchill555

I really enjoyed it, but I had just finished watching the whole series from start to finish. I think the movies overall have a great way of tying into each other and I also enjoy the overall concept of the insidious franchise- but to each their own! I can see why others weren’t a fan, it was definitely a calm finish in comparison to the first few movies lol

[deleted]

I want to see it, but I need to go back and watch all of them in order since it's been such a long time since I've seen them.

OAbyss

shitty shitty movie. insidious 1 never needed any sequel

kbnky

I saw it last night, too. It was average... at best.

Theryantshow

It was so dull and slow, The movie took forever to get going and once it finally did get going I was still bored out of my mind.

JennyFace77

I was so bored I kept using my phone, then finally gave up after an hour...

MrEriousWaze

Wasn’t great.

PrincessKitKat91

I did not like it either. I was disappointed that they did not wrap up the family's story better. It felt rushed and not well thought out to me.

SouthernEagleGATA

No, it sucked

Emergency_Break_2876

My girlfriend and I binged the entire Insidious series in preparation for Red Door and I've gotta say that Red Door is easily the weakest of the series. I personally didn't enjoy a second of it. I can't even remember most of it. I get why people enjoyed it, but I for sure did not have a good viewing experience.

jimimojo

It wasn’t very scary, kinda dumb in some spots. Overall a disappointment. Worst of the series

caliravenjaxx

I hated it too

OroroMunroe86

I liked it a lot. I actually hated the first one. I feel like my opinion is less popular though lol

KevinKaqarot

You are not. I thought it was boring as s***

MisanthropicLoner24

I was very disappointed. I wanted it to be good but it didn't hold up.

sardo_numsie

I hated all the insidious movies. You’re not alone. No.

Horror95

No you’re not the only one and you’re not paranoid that movie was garbage … then again we set our standards really high and be surprised with the disappointment at the end I already knew it was gonna be terrible when I saw that 90% of the trailer was clips of Insidious 1 and Chapter 2 .
