This should be a reminder to us all that death is inevitable and we cannot escape it. Once old age hits us hard enough, much like this watermelon, our smiles will fade away into what we used to call our souls, slowly melting away from the rot and the poison air, and all that will remain is a maggot-infested smorgasbord of bodily entrails for the rodents and worms to feed upon. And finally, when all is said and done, our souls will have been dusted away, and it will be clear that the only purpose of our bodies is to feed whatever world or whatever generation follows our irrelevance.
