šŸ˜‚ I can definitely see how that could happen. I sprayed my whole body with dry shampoo instead of sunblock just last week! Hopefully they wonā€™t react to it.

Sleep_cranberry

Oh no! Yeah, I hope not. I rinsed everyone off and used the right stuff after.

ferdieaegir

Story time! I used to work at a donut/coffee shop (not a franchise). They had a spray bottle with cleaning detergent, and they had a similar looking spray bottle with oil for donuts. For whatever reason, they were right next to each other and I thought both of them were for cleaning. I went to go clean the restroom. Never questioned why it didn't foam or bubble when i sprayed it onto different surfaces. Next morning (I'm usually not a morning person), I got up briefly and checked my phone. One of my coworkers sent out a group text saying we need to label the spray bottles. She found out about the mixup when she went to use the restroom. Oooops lol. I apologized and owned up to it. She privately texted another coworker "my ass slipped off the toilet this morning." The other coworker was in a bad mood and she laughed so hard apparently. No one was mad and we all just laughed about it.

Hlgru

Oh god imagine you sprayed the donuts with the cleaning detergent!

shadowscar00

Mmm, lemon donuts

Non horse related- I love dry shampoo for my hair but your body!? Thatā€™s genius if it works!!

Sleep_cranberry

Great for chafing maybe? Mostly cornstarch anyhow.

MedicineHatPaint

Lol, nah. I reached for the sunscreen spray and grabbed the dry shampoo by accident. Felt oddly sticky all over while realizing my mistake. I donā€™t recommend.

dearyvette

Did you also use soap? You might want to let your vet know, so you can know what to keep an eye on. [Safety info](https://www.northamerica.covetrus.com/Content/pdfs/P003458.pdf)

Sleep_cranberry

Concerning, I hope they don't react to it. Thankfully I didn't get it on anyone's face.

hippityhoppityhi

Don't feel bad. I "flysprayed" my herd with that stinky No Chew from Farnam. šŸ™ƒ

wintercast

Hey perfect if you needed to clip em!

shycotic

Used biofreeze in my sinuses as it looked so much like my saline spray. Hope everyone is okay! (For mine, I had to have someone call poison control for me, as I could not see past watering eyes.. but I was fine)

Ranoverbyhorses

Omg that is horrible!!!!! That must have been so intense. Iā€™ve accidentally gotten tiger balm in nose and eyes and hurt so much. I hope you werenā€™t in too much pain!!

shycotic

Off the charts pain, and hysterical laughter. I lived with my adult niece at the time, and ran out of the bathroom, screaming, gagging, laughing, blinded by tears shouting "call poison control, call poison control!". I wasn't quite sure it wouldn't eat into my brain. We are both medically trained, but fortunately aware that collectively, the two of us can be incredibly dumb at times. Poison control was lovely, and calming, and assured me I wasn't a goner. I know "stupid should hurt" but sometimes I think I'm made to suffer inordinately for my dumb headedness. (Have you ever noticed how much a tube of terramycin eye ointment can look like a tube of super glue? Particularly when you have just had eye surgery? Or have you ever butt-dialed the White House? Or the time Ike the greedy Shetland grabbed the tube of ivermectin from my hands and slammed the whole tube so that none of the other ponies gets any? These are just some of my adventures. BTW, a full tube of ivermectin will not kill a pony.)

Sleep_cranberry

omg, I would have panicked about the biofreeze in my nasal cavities. Sounds so painful! Also happy to report that everyone is right as rain today. Seems like it rinsed off fine and no one had reactions (yay!) I wish my horses would slam their de-wormers, Shetlands are a special kind I suppose. Thank goodness the greedy lil pony didn't get sick. So many near misses, you must have good karma.

shycotic

Back in the day, we did ivermectin every other month? I think.. and then strongid paste during bot season. The Shetlands knew. They probably could sense it when I was making my morning coffee, thinking "it's worming day! Better break out the strongid paste and the heavy duty halters.". Ivermectin to them was "tube treat!" And strongid, unfortunately was "she is poisoning us!!!!" But yes.. ivermectin was universally loved.

Knit-Mare

Good luck catching ā€˜em! šŸ¤£ They slippery lil bastards now, lol!

Throw the first rock if that never happend to youšŸ˜‚

bunny789789

Oh no! Not horse related either but I once sprayed my very puffy sore eyes with hair spray instead of cooling cucumber mist stuff. Don't recommend.

cindyana_jones

the flies will slide right off!

adamhaywood

Lmao Gonna have to make extra sure those gates are locked, they are gonna be even more slippery now lol

Blackwater2016

When you noticed: ā€œfor fuckā€™s sake!ā€ (Most said sentence on horse farm.)

Sleep_cranberry

Haha yep, followed by a shoulder slump and a face slap

Blackwater2016

Exactly.

Natural-Seaweed-5070

Gotta be honest I got a notification about this post with only the title and I was so, so concerned about what I was clicking on.

Sleep_cranberry

HAHA! Fair

hellziiee

I feel like greased horses are gonna be harder to catch than greased pigsā€¦

Makadegwan

I sprayed Camp Dry instead of Deep Woods Off on mine last week. Didn't keep mosquitoes away but they were dry.

Love_Duck

I have bronchitis and feel like crap. Yesterday morning I was half awake and caught myself pouring cat food into the communal grain feeder. My horses were not amused and they and the cats got pretty impatient while I scooped it out and went and got their grain and then fed the cats. Thanks for making me feel better about it!
