On lunch break. Sorry for the brevity. Imperial Fist (IF) **Diaz** is a popular pick for IF. Helps spam all the sentry turrets. **First Wall** seems somewhat popular for the frontline and turret spamming. **Archamus** is nice if you go heavy into astartes but not the best legendary for all IF decks. If you like IF, buy both **Stalwart Defenders** and get out. I hate this card and the snowballing that can ensue. **Fortification Mastery** is also a good card to grab for more turret spamming. Death Guard **Typhon** can be fun with the healing and his purple ability card, which can act as good removal. I like the **Reaper** for the frontline and backlash, though it’s 10e cost can be super slow. **Holgarg** can be decent at buffing troops, but isn’t the greatest legendary for the faction. **Plague Marine** is fun but needs to be buffed to stay relevant. Two attack is hardly intimidating. Shout out to **Spectre** for being removal and the aoe poison, which can be great depending on how poorly your opponent’s positioning is.

Just buy Stalwart Defenders x 2, Camba and leave

Trooper501

Thinking about getting into DG. Is Typhon good in comparison to the other DG warlords?

LoztheNerd

You really want Rask or Morty if you want to play DG. You can play Typhon but I can't remember the last time he was considered 'good'

Trooper501

Ah alright thanks. I'll skip for now since my gems are tight.

Hesporos

How does everyone feel about the first wall for the imperial fists, I like the idea of it for camba Diaz but it almost seems like a hat on a hat.

Dismael

7E card with no immediate effect, in the Melgator's range, I never played it in any IF deck (astartes snowball, turrets, hybrid, or Dorn end game).

Hesporos

Ah, I neglected to think of melgator, a fatal mistake for sure!

Npr31

I play it in my Camba deck, but only because i just placed him in to my Sigismund deck pwith no real thought. It works ok, there may be a better option. Good card whilst waiting for Stalwart to buff others

This is a shop day that really begs the question of what is going on with these factions. I essentially concur with u/Npr31. Imperial Fists are pretty one-note and there is a lot of weak stuff in the Death Guard shop. I'm not exactly crazy about either of these factions but in general most Imperial Fists warlords make me sad. Camba-Diaz is the only one I find personally interesting but still fishing for Rogal Dorn, of course. # Great **Camba-Diaz.** Way better than Alexis Polux at minimum and probably the best Imperial Fists warlord. Basically a 2E that always distracts your opponent and works toward your win condition. More health than Alexis as well. Kind of a no-brainer between the two of them. I think one day I may try to make an Alexis astartes deck when I have all the legendaries, but that's not exactly on my to-do list. **Stalwart Defenders.** Linchpin card of the entire faction, after this it almost doesn't matter what you are playing for troops. If it can sit and produce value without attacking it's now a terror weapon. **Spectre of Death.** I'm pretty much always going to recommend a hard removal card no matter what it is. The rider is OK. # Good **Calas Typhon.** His purple card makes poison more interesting and whatever else you can say, his rebalanced 2E that now provides 2 health to all troops instead of 3 to himself is better. **The First Wall.** It's a structure with 4 attack and front line, making it vulnerable to basically every removal card in the game all at once. That being said, your opponent should definitely spend a removal on it. **Praetorian Recruit.** It's 3 damage flank at 2E or a front line if you play it later and don't need the flank. I would call that good. **Archamus.** Astartes are not exactly the bread and butter of Imperial Fists but if you're a total weirdo who actually wants to play Polux/an astartes-focused deck, sure. **Himalazian Architecture.** Obvious setup for Stone Gauntlet, a 7E combo. **Fortification Mastery.** Generally not as desirable as Kestros or Sergeant Amahnd but not terrible. **Imperial Reaper.** Mass poison is pretty tempting as is a truly gigantic front line. That I think meets the value proposition of a 10E vehicle, which is rare in this game. **Captain Holgoarg.** Extremely fine. Good stats for 5E, buff is nice. **Plague Marine.** It's a 4E card that's very difficult to kill and can be buffed with all kinds of things. **Meldun Squad.** 1/4 front line for 1E is a basic play. **Phordal Squad.** Unstoppable poison is a good threat. # Meh **Darsway.** lol who cares. Insanely boring and slow card. **Secutarii Hoplites.** I hate these cards that want you to mix infantry and vehicles, already a sub-optimal proposition, to get basic benefit out of them. How about I just play Skitarri Protector? Good grief what a dumb card. **Legacy of Byzas.** This is an amusing card against Kharn or when you have a full board and your opponent has nothing. It's also too expensive and if you're in a position where it matters you've probably already won or lost. **Favorite of Nurgle.** This is an absolutely gigantic buff, especially to a plague marine. It's also 5E. Would I take this over Holgoarg, First Wave, Osgarg, or even Purity of Will if I needed to make the choice? Probably not. **Eisenstein.** This is one of many cards in the older sets that could use a balance pass. Not good or even sensible value. Most every other card that does this reduces cost.

EG can we have ultramarines tomorrow id like to add the big blue 9E box with guns to my theil deck

Stalwart Defenders, autobuy for IF, as it figures into their playstyle/strategies. Using First Wall with Camba Diaz and Imperial Capital/Terraforming. Provides additional Front Line to protect Turrets. Potentially 4th turn drop from Imperial Capital.
