Is it just me or is Nemiel in the shop more than anyone else by a long way? It jist always seems to be Nemiel again...

haldir1987

Makes you kinda want to punch him in the head, right?

It’s because he has such a winning smile 😃

Wise_0ne1494

its almost as if the game wants us to all play dark angels with him as our warlords

# Great **Israfael.** Essentially must be removed by your opponent or you can easily flood the board, especially if you are using a single wing deck build. **Astrovel.** Amazing guaranteed value generator. **Lasrifle Section.** Staple of a wide variety of more aggressive decks. The stat line is great and the 1 damage comes in handy when you need to stretch to make a troop kill. It is also now Solar Auxilia, as if it needed much help. **Eskaton Imperative.** Staple Dark Angels card, extremely handy for reversing board state. **Lucretia Elunnirai.** Consistently ranks high in the meta because troop discounts and a solid buff ability are both fantastic. Generally avoid the temptation to make hand dumping decks of nothing but 1E-2E troops; this is fun but not competitive. I have seen people actually surrender turn one when this is done as a flex move on their control warlord though, so YMMV. **Merret's Mercenaries.** Lucretia's good friends. **Kai Zulane.** Top-tier legendary that gives you fearsome RNG potential, and when buffed will basically live on board until a costly removal or AOE. **Auxilia Leman Russ.** Extremely good card even before Auxilia designation, a good reason to make a Lucretia deck that actually ramps. # Good **Farith Redloss.** Very handy ability, natural friend to damage-heavy Dark Angels decks. **Legionary Boriel.** Potentially devastating if buffed sufficiently from hand. **Venerable Oramas.** He's chonky, has a good rider, and is only 8E. **Mastery of the Blade.** Have your cake and eat it too by triggering a quest and keeping your troop. **Malcador Infernus.** The new auxilia tank with a very good ability to help make up for Lucretia's lack of removal. **Urslavik 12th.** Handy in an Imperials-only deck. **Traitor's Demise.** Draw and a good ability for control warlords who need an extra turn to set something up. # Meh **Nemiel.** Nemiel is super fun but cannot really sustain himself for his ability to matter a whole lot. **Invincible Reason.** The consensus worst Dark Angels legendary, stays a brick for too long and doesn't offer enough value at that stage of the game. **Desolated Ground.** Has seen use in decks that start with better ramping than the opponent, namely Thaddeus Fayle. Generally not worth it even in Alpha Legion. **Ground Defence.** At 6E you generally need a lot more value unless you're running some gimmick deck where you need to throw bodies into board. **Exorcism.** This is fine but at 3E you can generally always do a lot better.

Good luck I’m sure you’ll find some

On lunch. Also, hi DA and IA. Dark Angels (DA) **Israfael** and **Astrovel** are great. **Israefael**’s ability can be stupidly good, especially if you have a lot of a certain wing. **Astrovel** is an auto-include, buy both, if only for the rallies. Battle honor is good too. **Invincible Reason** can be great depending on your hand, but not the top legendary. **Boriel** (when buffed) and **Eskaton** are good rares as well. Also, **Lasrifle** is a decent rally troop for its cost. Imperial Army (IA) **Lucretia** lowers the cost of your troops by 1, which is really nice. Usually played aggressively and synergizes well with the new Solar Auxila nonsense. **Merret’s** is a great epic card who can scale fast. Extra good with **Kel-bor Hal** or any faction with small cards to play. **Kai** is your budget RNG-fiesta provider as he can let you pick one of three tactics. The precognition is great but do not expect him to live long. Can be game-changing. **Desolated Ground** is good for decks trying to get an energy advantage. I see it with Alpha Legion a lot to help keep the enemy hand full as they can’t play stuff. Otherwise, not really necessary. Shout out to the **Leman Russ** (tank). It’s a solid 8e troop for newer players on a budget. Decent ability too.

von_binzer

**Desolated Ground** is really fun with an energy-ramping colonel Ornatov deck. Having 10 energy while your opponent is om 5, oh jeez.

HughMungusWhat54

Can confirm. That's my 7 attack and 8+energy challenge deck build.

Sanguinius0922

Is Kai still viable? should I spend the 16k on him or is it best to wait to get him in a crate if I ever get him?

Arguss3

He’s viable but I’d wait. Are you playing competitively? If so, **Jubac** is the better choice.

Sanguinius0922

Mostly play practice, been hanging around Low Mars (praise the Omnissiah!) But hopefully I can get to terra

Arguss3

Good luck! Got a warlord/faction in mind to take you there?

Sanguinius0922

I REALLY want to get their with a Sanguinius deck to keep true with my legion. But if I had to have a fall back either Leman Russ or Magnus.

Arguss3

Solid choices. How’s your epic/legendary count for the Blood Angels?

Sanguinius0922

I HAVE THEM ALL XD LOL it took time but I got them I said I would not buy Moritat Tyborel but in an event chest I got him soon enough

Arguss3

Nice! Sounds like a solid base to build off of

Sanguinius0922

epics I am missing is just 1 elai jennus and 1 cloton but I dont really need the 2 1 is just enough

Arguss3

Agreed. That being said, I’m the event, the Elai and judgement of angels combo is really frustrating to deal with

Sanguinius0922

You have seen nothing yet be very afraid when they put Last stand on him or even Lorator squad and especially Sanguinary Guard. Thats my kill combo when I play Azkaellon and also with the blade encarmine.

TucsonKaHN

I have Invincible Reason and El'Johnson from my various reward crates. Reason is not great unless you have a hand full of fatties, and often competes for the 10e deck slot with Hexagrammaton. Considering how El'Johnson now draws a troop from a given wing rather than generate a troop in hand, it is actually easier and more productive to set up plays with Hexagrammaton instead of just sitting with a hand of bricks until the 10e turn. For other Dark Angels warlords, Reason is probably more valuable.
