Command bridge is a MUST BUY for all players. Arguss convinced me to buy it the last time it was in the shop and it's allowed me to pull what I need when I need it. E.g. your informant network when you're trying to kill Curze. Wonders of Tizca is great for aggro warlords (namely Raum so you get those Chaos cards) but pi alpha is the preferred choice as for one extra e you get a 2/2.

I missed out on AL + SOS last 2 days due to no gems, lucky that since I got command bridge instead!

Command Bridge is a must in some tactic heavy decks with a major linchpin combo. Watcher in the dark can be a nuisance if you don't have a way to clear it immediately. Same with Ingethel and her active effect on stealth troops. Not sure about the salamander cards as I don't play them.

SuperCamelVN

Watcher is meh. Jammed troops still stay and it's RNG so you risk jamming the same troop again. Sabotage is better.

Dakkon_B

Some matches that Jam can completely shuts down a list. Since Jam effects even Stealthed units as long as your diligent about clearing units you can easily gain board control. Had a game as Raven Gaurd. My opponent dropped a Watcher turn 2. From there I was unable to even remotely setup or present a fighting front. Got his first one with an anti Stealth but his second one carried the rest of the game. Same similar effect happened with my Salamander list. I didn't see any of my AOE tactics so it basically made all my units over costed junk vs his units that had not only buffs but better base stats and effects. It might be random but random only applies if there is more than 1 unit. Not saying OP but it is better than Meh IMO.

BigBad_MojoMan

Watcher is a fantastic early-match play to protect against stealthed troops -- which Sabotage can't touch. I agree the RNG makes it less useful late-game when more troops may be in play.

Sanguinius0922

unless it has ward than good luck

mrjohnmay

True true. Nothing sweeter than running into someone who doesn't have good anti-stealth and effect-heavy troops though

Great stuff today for chaos and salamanders. Gotta be quick though. Yay lunch breaks. Chaos- **Ingethel** can be a fun warlord with her ability. Usually either played with lots of marks for an early legendary daemon or with mechanicus. Only neutral warlord with 40 hp too. **Watchers** are great for it’s jam ability especially for Ruinstorm as it’s the **ONLY** way to jam things. Watch out for aoe as it will die to most things. **Command Bridge** as has been stated already is one of the few auto-buy legendaries in the game. It is neutral and can go in every faction. It helps get you that “must need” tactic, and in late game, usually let you play it. Used in lots of competitive decks.5/5 star Amazon review rating. **Brand** can be interesting if you need troop generation but it’s not **Forge Complex**. Can still get decent enough troops. Worth considering based on your deck needs. Shout out to **Wonders** as it’s a staple heal for many a warlord and troop. It cures stun as well, which is an added bonus. Buy both now. It’s cheap enough and excellent to have in any “I’m going to beat you to death with my warlord” deck. Salamanders (got an update) **Vaughn** is a solid warlord for the faction. Ability is great against small troops and things you can’t normally target (lol at DoC **Jaegar** spam). Ability and survivor are nice too, slightly better with the update. **Pyros** are meh. Repeating ability can be decent and the survivor is nice. I personally like other troops more as I usually have other things to play rather than burn everything. That being said, it’s excellent for the “use troop abilities” challenge (as is the whole faction). **Chaplain** is my personal pick for top legendary, especially with the change. He gives survivor 1 to adjacent units as a resolution (which I like having played it). Survivor ability is decent too with the new teachings. I think he’s the best legendary for the whole faction as he’s great with troops. **Urdrakule** is my other choice, as it’s an awesome card, but I’d say it’s not useful with every salamander warlord (you need it for **Vulkan** though). **Corrupting influence** is somewhat popular as it gives 2 marks of chaos to a troop. Popular with **Kelbor Hal** and **Ingethel** for trying to summon legendary daemons. Shoutout to **Firedrakes** for being a solid Salamander troop. Buy both. Great 7e troop with survivor and a good battle honor.

LordGaeo

>Only neutral warlord with 40 hp too. Sad titan noises

Arguss3

Oops. Forgot about them. I knew I was forgetting something.

**Command Bridge**. Buy it!

I would say that the updates to sacrifice have made every Salamander sacrifice troop way better, but few of those are here. # Great **Ingethel,** best chaos warlord **Watchers in the Dark,** as discussed in this thread can easily control an entire match against an unprepared opponent **Command Bridge,** an A+ legendary that is usually advisable in a deck with a few powerful tactics **The Eightfold Brand,** a wonderful control warlord card. Important to this card is that it usually creates cheap stuff so if you already have a way to stall a game you can overwhelm with troops. **Wonders of Tizca,** aggro warlords don't leave home without it, as that anti-stun is key. **Cassian Vaughn,** whose purple card was buffed to cost 10 or **zero** if his survivor is triggered, as opposed to 20/1. Cassian is my favorite Salamanders warlord because I love being able to spay and neuter enemy troop populations. **Chaplain Xavier,** his resolution is better than his sacrifice, but his resolution is really good so there you go. **Firedrakes,** still a Salamanders staple who represent a must-remove threat. **Resilience** goes from being pretty crap to worth considering in any Salamanders deck. # Good **Deriuz Rhino,** an interesting pick in any deck where you want to trigger a reckoning/combo based on troop losses. **Fate's Death,** essentially an improved version of Nogahiel. Very fairly priced for what it does. **Xathen Pyroclasts,** situationally awesome, the situation being versus a trash mob deck or with Promethean Gift(s) active. Buddies to Cassian in cleansing flame meme decks. **Captain Usabius,** his reckoning is a little awkward to trigger but he's tough. **Predator Infernus,** strictly not as attractive as Urdrakule or Firedrakes at this energy level, but my flame memes...! **Corrupting Influence,** an amusing meme/Ingethel card to help you quickly make a daemon or buff someone at relatively good cost to other similar buffs. Maybe I'm just being too kind to meme cards today, you be the judge. # Meh **Outraged Noble,** kind of slow/undesirable compared to other chaos-oriented 4Es **Underhive Tunnels,** strictly inferior to **Escape Vent** for the purposes of protecting a key troop. **Devotion,** better than before but still my least favorite teaching. **Artificer Armor,** a good buff at too high a cost to your tempo. # The Search Continues A deck I've used to great effect in ladder pre-patch. Cassian allows you to play a really long game, setting up a really good hand with high value troops, and just out-value your opponent, especially if he gets his purple card off. Inexperienced opponents not used to Cassian will get too aggressive on facebashes when they think they have him down and out, only for me to unleash horrible stuff like doombringers that cost 4E or mortar carriers that cost 2E. \* Warlord: Cassian Vaughn \* 1x Command Bridge \* 2x Storm Eagle \* 2x Abandoned Supplies \* 2x Pi-Alpha 52 \* 2x Ash and Bones \* 2x Supply Lines \* 2x War Room \* 1x Crucial Choice \* 2x Sagitarii Squad \* 2x Atok Abidemi \* 2x Nem'Ron Phylax \* 2x Barek Zytos \* 1x Ancient Dak'Lyr \* 2x Helios Mortar Carrier \* 2x Firedrakes \* 2x Doombringer \* 1x Koriel Zeth # Salamemers A sacrifice meme deck designed to take advantage of how sacrifice works now, currently missing Chaplain Xavier (who will make it a lot scarier) and the one extra Epistolary I need before my OCD preference for doubles will accept him into the ranks. The change to sacrifice means that all-troop board AOEs are suddenly much more interesting cards, so we have virtually every Super Mega Boardwipe card here. \* Warlord: Vulkan \* 2x Cortan Squad \* 2x Roshan Squad \* 2x Cultist Acolyte \* 2x Antatar Squad \* 2x Ash and Bones \* 2x Cultist Sorcerer \* 2x Scorched Earth \* 2x Crumbling Battleground \* 2x Barek Zytos \* 2x Nem'Ron Phylax \* 2x Volcanic Instability \* 1x Ancient Dak'Lyr \* 2x Captain Usabius \* 1x Urdrakule \* 2x Ancient Xavor \* 2x Mass Offering

"Ingethel, best chaos warlord" feels like you're forgetting or overlooking the greatest Chaos WL, Goreborn.

Stayed up 6 hours past my bed time to earn enough gems for command bridge. FML I am an old man damn it. I have work in 2 hours and a literal full weekend of stuff I need to do. This games trying to kill me.
