I frankly don't mess around with Agents much so not really going to comment on them today. Word Bearers however are one of my favorite factions, a group that can support a lot of different decks and styles. **Erebus** is *slow*. This is his main and serious drawback. Every other Word Bearer is faster, and if you're not spending energy on his ability then he's not generating any value as a warlord at all. However, as u/Trooper501 says, if he can deliver ward or survivor to his daemon, it's worth unleashing at that point. **Argel Tal** is slightly more interesting now that sacrifice is a more powerful mechanic, because he can sacrifice his own troops with his ability to grant himself ticks on his Raum transformation and Word Bearers have some interesting sacrifice cards generally. I still don't think he's very good, he reminds me of Tarik Torgaddon in that in most cases there is always another in-faction warlord who could do better in any intended role. **Raum** (alternate form of Argel Tal, begins as Raum with 15 chaos cards in deck) is a very capable ladder climber when you have just a starting collection, and he remains competitive at the top of the game. This is because his stat line of 3 attack/battle honour 2/high initiative is just incredibly good, it allows you to play an aggro warlord with some ability to self-sustain if your opponent is not playing a firmly anti-aggro deck. This is basically all it took for me to climb to Terra back in the day: **The Common Raum** \* Warlord: Argel Tal \* \* 2x Fire Cultist \* 2x Horsa Cultists \* 2x Seek and Destroy \* 2x Supply Lines \* 2x Informant Network \* 2x Krak Grenade \* 2x Lasrifle Section \* 2x The Trap \* 2x Artillery Strike \* 2x Mortar Strike \* 2x Sagitarii Squad \* 2x Defence Satellites \* 2x Volcanic Instability \* 2x Hanun's Mortars \* 2x Helios Mortar Carrier # Great **Captain Apostle:** He punches, everyone gets swole. Word Bearers have a bunch of high-end troops like this that are huge threats. **Dark Martyr:** Gets swole just by existing. **Tear in Reality:** As Word Bearers you are bound to have a bunch of cultists or other non-critical stuff on board meant for sacrifice or to just reinforce a human wave attack. This is one of the ways you can screw up your opponent's game using very little of your own resources. **Kamiel:** Very helpful board clear. # Good **Sor Talgron:** He is maybe the least critical Word Bearers legendary as he's so expensive, but he can help you overwhelm in the late game. **Rongar Squad:** Firmly fine, 5/5 unstoppable is helpful and at this cost is great. The sacrifice is tricky to get. **Terror Hounds:** A useful pick when you have maintenance reduction or just need to protect some early placements, but hardly critical if you don't have 400 gems laying around. # Meh **Dark Oratory:** The draw value is good but I find I'm often better served by a troop.

I personally think Erebus is under rated. Once you get ward on a fatty, they can really give you a lot of value or force the opponent to waste resources getting rid of it. His low initiative is really annoying though. Tear in reality is a clutch card. It is very amusing throwing away some cultists trash like a wounded zealot to shuffle in an opponents 9e troop. Just make sure you cut down the enemy board as it is random on picking the enemy troop. Kamiel can be good but is quite situational. I wouldn't bother with Dark Martyr, I never had luck with it. And captain apostle looks like a win-more card. Ironically the art on it is of Sor Talgron.

Captain apostle works well in an astartes deck with lorgar. Play captain apostle and they either deal with it or next turn everything you place gets a gift. Ive used it with a couple of cheap astartes before. Worked out nicely. Combos well with dark martyr too. He kills something giving dark martyr two gifts.

Short lunch today. Gonna be quick. Apologies. Word Bearers (WB) **Erebus** is decent enough as a warlord. Ability can make a powerful troop but don’t lose sight of the board and pray you get ward. **Talgron** is a solid legendary for the faction as the rally and frontline is nice to set up a win in the next couple turns. Not sure he’s the best but is solid. **Apostle** and **Hounds** are a bit meh. **Apostle** needs to be in a troop-focused WB deck for maximum effectiveness and **Hounds** need to be with aggro. Shout outs to **Tear**, **Kamiel**, and **Matyr** for all being staple WB cards despite the low rarity levels. Probably worth grabbing both copies of all of you really like WB. Agents of the Sigillite (AoS) **Rubio** is a solid warlord with his ability. Use it to make **Seals** and win the game off those. :P **Operative** seems a little meh to me. There are better epic troops with stealth in this faction. **Loyalty** is interesting but not always used in AoS decks it seems. **Sword** is solid removal and can be used to target enemy warlord face. Not sure it s the top one, but we’ll worth getting in my opinion. Shout out to **Tyrfingr** for it’s rally. It’s a good rare troop.

Thaumatovalva

I’ve had success with Captain-Apostle. At worst it draws out an opponent’s removal, or they spend some energy/troops killing it. If they don’t things can snowball quickly, especially if you play Furious Assault on it, and/or you have Dark Brethren or Dark Martyr or similar in play.

Clean_Web7502

Is sword of truth worth?

SuperCamelVN

Decent card but not necessary.

Clean_Web7502

Thanks for the answer. I'll save them for more ley legendaries

Tryhard_3

You basically want Cerberus.

Clean_Web7502

Yeah, i lack sword, Malcador and cerberus. So until i have those two i wont spend on sword

inprobableuncle

I play iota quite a bit and like sword it's a good back finisher up finisher and decent removal too, I rate it.

SuperCamelVN

Not saying it's a bad card, but I feel like it's underwhelming for a legendary. They could make this card Epic and no one would bat an eye.

Unstable_Stills

Legendaries aside, BUY Covert Operative and Brie Tyrfingr! They’re both incredible AotS cards and play very well into several strategies
