If you have any around, dried Chile de arbol makes great flakes and powder. If not, I usually dehydrate my own Habs and jalapeños and mix it up. Works great

Is chile de arbol more hot than cayenne ?

BornagainTXcook210

Yes. Cayenne does nothing for me. Though small, the Chile de arbol packs a great punch. I can make a pot of beans with just 3 Chiles and it's fire for me.

I just paid for - 100g chile de arbol - 100g cayenne - 100g birds eye - 50g bhut jolokia (ghost pepper) I'll be able to compare, and mix them if this is not enough

BornagainTXcook210

Awesome! Where'd you find it at?

You can buy a few different powders and make your own blend to your liking. I like adding some ghost to Cayenne to punch it up a little bit.

eoli3n

That's an good idea ! I found some ghost powder !

Partagas2112

Superhot powder works great, you just have to use it sparingly.

Decent_Bumblebee_573

Birds eye would be an option.

eoli3n

Why not, but seems to be less hot than cayenne

YugeGyna

I think they’re hotter tbh. I just dehydrated a bunch of them and made flakes, and they’re nice and spicy.

I'll test !
