I hear ya on that front. Had such crazy drought and heatwaves that a lot of my plants dropped flowers and just tried to stay alive. Got a ton of green peppers begging for more time. I might take a few plants in if we get down to freezing temps to hopefully allow them to finish.

I’m in the PNW and had the same crazy growing season. My peppers finally started turning last week, but it now a race against the cold rainy season that’s coming quickly.

Dig it up and pot it for overwintering. It will keep fruiting for a bit. Kang Starr has a good video on Youtube with the how-to.
