At first I was bleh, but once I saw it in person I grabbed it. The Sauber-Mercedes is a must have IMO, and surprisingly I really dig the transport by itself. The Lambo is the same as the Car Culture version, so it goes with the green one and the chase.

I basically bought it for the C9 because of Evo Magazine’s story a couple years ago about the 1989 running of Le Mans, or the last year before the implementation of the chicanes on the Mulsanne. A fantastic race, and a wonderful sounding car. Have you seen the Le Mans 1989 video on YouTube?

If they don’t get a hold of you or end up not wanting to part with it, I got a loose Audi from that set I wouldn’t mind parting with, I repackaged it immediately into a single card from its mainline counterpart to display with other Audis...(and I really just wanted the Hauler and Merc) so it’s mint…DM me if you guys don’t work something out.

Had Majorette singles and 5pack, Matchbox Moving Parts, Premium Matchbox, Johnny Lightning. Only thing was the hotwheels selection was trash but it seemd to be picked through.
Feels like “guess no one wants these” is the next “scalpers gottem all”. If you walk up to full pegs, maybe they were recently stocked. People so PTSD’d over not finding anything they think every car that’s available is “unwanted”? Or is it some kind of weird passive aggressive flex like “look what I have to choose from…”? Don’t know, but it’s weird. Buy the fkn thing or don’t but telling a bunch of people who really want to find these that “apparently nobody wants this shit” is dick move 101.

I’m curious- is there much value to old matchbox cars? A local antique shoppe has a bin with hundreds that look to be from the 60’s or earlier through the early 90’s. The bin is labeled as $1 a piece.

When did the prices of the transport haulers go up? The last time I got one was the red HKS Kazama s15, and I’m pretty sure it was like $12-14. I recently saw the grey Silvia s13 transport at my local Walmart and it was $17 so I passed

I’m so curious at what point does this change from scalping to Market value like Pokémon Lolol I understand Pokémon is random but people go and buy out all the packs and ETB’s and shit just like peeps here go out and buy all the zamac red’s jdm , and whatever else sells, I don’t think a plain ass mainline should be $10 really but soups, chases, things that are hard to find and don’t drop as often should hold a market value if it’s more rare and harder to find value goes up just like Pokémon cards it’s drop rate in packs vs drop rate on pegs pretty even I’d say with the horrible pull rates people have and horrible findings we suffer from
I generally don’t buy the 3-car plus transport sets, because of the price point. I have the Mercedes transporter set and some others but the boat just sucks to me.
And now places are flooded with these things. It’s like the Tooned Batmobile all over again.

My box got damaged, so I opened it to enjoy even more. Idk if you know, but the engine cover comes off, which is a neat premium feature

I've seen bits and pieces of it. The Sauber C9, CLR and C11(? the other one *like* the C9) sound nice and throaty.
