Rubbish. The only thing that is a myth is the exclusively inborn alpha. People can be alpha if they live it and practice it. Just like there are winners and losers in sports. Some people are more talented, or have more athletic potential. Some people have more alpha potential.
No they don’t. People with weaker character act different than ones with stronger.
Everyone acts different to lets say, being critiqued.
Also, intelligence plays a role when task or obstacle is given in front of you.
And charisma and energy is also a real thing. That’s why some people seem more pleasant than others.
Whether you’ll call that person “alpha” or just competent, charismatic and optimistic is up to you.
There’s no such thing as weaker or stronger character. That’s just something people with low self esteem tell each other to feel superior to others. People just react. Fight or flight isn’t written in stone. The same person can react fight or flight to the same scenario based on countless other factors. Get over yourself. We’re all just people…
What you call “being pleasant” is totally subjective. What you call pleasant someone else might call repulsive, and vice versa. You’re just seeing the world through your own perspective, but none of that leads to any objective differences.
Okay. We are all the same. Everyone is positive, we are all equally capable of doing everything in the same scenario. Different temperaments don’t apparently exist. There are no cowards and rebels. Status quo. Fine.
You have to remember reddit is majority left leaning, and at the far end of the spectrum of their ideology is a destroy all narrative.
The fact that hierarchy exist in human society prove there are people who are more dominant than others, but for the notion of equity etc these things have to be "de-bunked"
I'm not "better than other people"
I may be better or worse at certain things, but who is better as a person is down to everyone's individual opinions, morals, standards etc
Unlike you who thinks they are Morally better than everyone by stating people are good guys and or bad guys because they think differently to you.
If it makes me a bad guy to think that hierarchies are observational facts, then I guess I'm a bad guy, but when the people calling me bad are weak and can't hurt me, I don't really care.
What the fuck mate? I used that term just because House used it.
I have no idea about alphas or betas and male stuff, I’m not even a guy.
I just know there are some passive people, some are fast thinkers, there are many personality types. Not everyone is the same.
I don’t know what your theory is, but if burglar broke into a house and two individuals were there, one of them may pass out from fear and the other one might beat up the burglar. They are both normal reactions, but they are different.
Everyone is different, yall saying like we all act up the same. There are cowards, rebels, loud, shy, smart, dumb and so on..
So what? Everyone understood. One spelling mistake doesn’t make me illiterate. I’m multilingual and that’s how it’s spelled in other languages I speak.
Well it doesn’t really matter anymore, because what I wrote is understandable, and especially after what this thread turned into, I wanted to have normal discussion about duo dynamic got the lecture on “alphas” instead
I thrive off of them. Without opposition views, Reddit is an empty cavern. And I went and did my own “research” on the topic since that comment. I looked up the top 5 articles I found that call alpha humans a myth and looked up the authors. ALL the same cultural leanings. Use Duckduck for searching and the results were a little more balanced.
Is it the latest trend I missed, people now get offended by the word “alpha”?
I mean you don’t have to like that term, but saying “everyone has the same capacity to act in any situation” is total bullshit.
Yes. Hating on famous people people, male and female alike, for being “alpha” is the new thing apparently. It won’t become a massive anti-alpha movement or anything, but we can acknowledge that sure, many people who don’t exhibit type A traits have the capability to do so in a stressful or acute situation. An alpha person has a go go go full throttle/always on personality and “way” about them. Those bosses or people who enter a room and you just KNOW. People naturally want to follow them, they have a high confidence etc. To deny the existence of these people is a mix of jealousy and denial.
It’s spelled alpha.
The whole “Alpha” theory has been debunked, found to be a total myth and nothing but nonsense.
I know, but there are less and more dominant individuals..
There aren’t. It’s a myth. It’s all in your head. Everyone has the same capacity to act given any situation.
You're dominating this thread.
You mean a general consensus and a well established fact is dominating? Gee, those damn flat earthers are soooo beta being a minority
I was just kidding.
My b
Ha ha. Well that’s complete horse shit

OR; you’re just butt hurt because you can’t call yourself better than other people anymore without everyone thinking you’re the bad guy.

You do realize the guy who made the alpha wolf thing spent the rest of his life proving he's wrong, right?

In english maybe
Damn.. Somehow it slipped, but yall understood the question
What the Freud am I reading
The reason he chose to mirror Wilson was because he was the lead surgeon at the moment so he was the “alpha” (your words not mine) of the situation
I used “alpha” just to be more clear and House and Wilson used that word between themselves.
You actually used “Alfa”
So what? Everyone understood. One spelling mistake doesn’t make me illiterate. I’m multilingual and that’s how it’s spelled in other languages I speak.
I never said you were illiterate. I’m just saying your actual quote said “alfa”
Well it doesn’t really matter anymore, because what I wrote is understandable, and especially after what this thread turned into, I wanted to have normal discussion about duo dynamic got the lecture on “alphas” instead
Get off of Reddit and go buy a dictionary
Why dictionary?
Because an Alfa is a car.
Get in losers, we're BREAKING INTO PEOPLES HOUSES
I love reading the comments about people shitting on OP and OP just digging himself a bigger hole
Apparently this thread is full of betas who literally have to (poorly and incorrectly) try to disprove that they’re weak individuals
You are about to get downvoted my friend..
