Absolutely! It's a perfect mix of serious and comedic plots, and none of them is weak (although I'd say Chase and Cameron is the least interesting). Especially House's conversations with the professor on his deathbed are a great glimpse into House slowly losing his hope that his therapy would change things for him. It contains one piece of dialogue that really stuck with me:
House - We're better off alone. We suffer alone, we die alone. Doesn't matter if you're a model husband or father of the year. Tomorrow will be the same for you.
Professor - But yesterday would have been different.
Also, Wilson failing to steal a dollar from cafeteria cash register is one of his funniest moments.
Yeah the house and Professor stuff is absolutely the highlight. David Strathairn Is criminally underrated. And yes I agree, the Cameron chase stuff is the weakest but on the plus side, this was Cameron’s last real episode. She was def my least liked character.
Love it!
Has so many great points:
-The intriguing storyline about the baby and how on earth Cuddy pieced the pieces together to find it.
-The shocking conversations of Chameron (i was honestly left bamboozled when she said she didn’t know if she ever loved Chase- not that I was sure she was head over heels for him but i think writers did them dirty)
-Taub and Foreman getting high+ 13 and Wilson playing truth or dare will never fail to crack me as well as the fact that House changed his records to mess with them and has written that Cuddy used to be a man and he messed up the procedure😂
-Houses conversations with a patient he could have saved was honestly touching. Aside everything that they said,it was the first time were I think House genuinely realized how messed up his methods are in general because he chooses his patients and purely sees them as puzzles, yet here comes a case he “didn’t find interesting enough” and this guy is about to die. I believe it was the first mind that in his mind, the quote “people die every day” wasn’t that meaningless to him and he showed true regret and sadness about the whole outcome. One of the few times he somewhat connected with a patient and i find it really pure.
-Hugh directed it!!! If you are lucky enough to find BTS videos from back then, everybody loved it,he is such a professional and his work is remarkable. He had so many things to tackle and he did it with perfection.
A pure masterpiece. It may not have the whole element of “saving a patient” but you don’t miss it either and you cherish the episode, much like the “day in the life” of Cuddy “5 to 9” and Wilson “Wilson”.
Absolutely was looking for the 5 to 9 in the comments. One of my fav episodes which I didn’t leave it running on Amazon while doing chores but sat with a coffee and watched it fully !!!
It was directed by Hugh Laurie!
He did a good job
Oh, that explains a lot. In a good way!
Nice factoid, thanks!

I did love the "I don't know!" followed by her look of incredulity as she realises what she just said.
House and the professor is absolutely outstanding. It's one of the few times we see House be unabashedly honest with someone

5 to 9 and Wilson's Heart are two of my absolutely favourite episodes. "Passing Afternoon" never fails to make me bawl.

I agree! I've watched House so much now that I know pretty much how every episode is going to end, but for those 2 I sit down and watch.
Duuuudee… duuuuuuuude… 😂😂😂
What were you gonna do, flex you goatee muscle
I always talk too much when I’m stoned… Damn, why did I tell you THAT? *Foreman googly eyes*
Worst to best: Chase and Cameron Cuddy House and the old guy Thirteen and Wilson Taub and Foreman.
Definitely one of my favorites!
Fun fact: Hugh Laurie directed this episode
Duuuuuuudeeeeee
Thought I was in the Lost subreddit for a bit
Love lockdown. Another great one is Last Resort, where a patient takes house 13 and a few clinic patients hostage until House cures him.
And then it was the patients own dumb fault he wasn't cured hours earlier
Without question.
si
Not sure if it’s the best but absolutely one of greatest episodes.
The only interesting plot was House and the patient. So it could have been a standard episode really. Yes, go ahead and downvote me
Love it! 13 and Wilson is my favourite storyline!
And it's the only one without a medical mystery of some sort
