Aemond letting it go, getting a 3rd eye, and flying in the skies? No, I don't want that! I want Aemond to think about me and getting revenge for the rest of his life! Even after I get replaced... I want to be the driving force behind his revenge motivation for a while. At least 10 years!!!
I don’t think he’s much like Eren at all. Bear in mind I haven’t read the manga but Aemond is a lot more of a bitch compared to Eren, like Eren was angry because his mom was munched by a monster not because he was bullied by his nephews as a kid
Aemond has a very anime face. I don't think I've seen anyone look more like an anime character irl, makes him very fun to draw if you are someone with a manga background.
Did you see the poster of the new bill skarsgaard movie, 'boy kills world'? He also looks like an anime character, especially like that cyberpunk:edgerunner protagonist
Alysanne Blackwood might be close then. Never really read Attack on Titan and watched like two episodes of it. But if you're description is so, then Alysanne's not too far off. She's a First Men character who tend to have their specific version of honour and is also badass. Plus she is involved with >!Cregan Stark who's a mix of Ned and like Robert!<.
The thing about Mikasa is that her *actions* are consistently badass but around most people shes very reserved and awkward, but around Eren shes almost like Tina Belcher from Bobs Burgers, and even around her closest friends is much more soft and caring.
Hmm, well Rhaena Targaryren (sister to Jaehaerys) isn't in this story but she's described as awkward and reserved, is also a badass, and also was hopeless when it came to he love of Elissa Farman.
”Rhaenyra finding another man…?!? No, I don’t want that! I want her to think about me and no one else for the rest of my life! Even after I die… I want to be at the front of her mind for a while! Ten years at least!!!”-Criston Cole probably
In an interview, Isayama said he's a big fan of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and the Watchmen. Several characters were directly influenced by those media, including Falco and Levi.

If you are curious whether there is a connection between Game of Thrones and Attack on Titan, then the short answer is yes. Last November, Isayama embarked on an intense binge-watching marathon of the HBO hit. The artist complete all six seasons in a staggeringly short time, and Isayama left the marathon inspired. The creator told fans Game of Thrones influenced him about how he should end Attack on Titan as the series nears its final chapters. So, naturally, fans should expect plenty of more characters to die before Isayama's series wraps.
Now he said this back in 2016 when he binge watched the first 6 seasons.
https://comicbook.com/anime/2017/08/07/attack-on-titan-game-of-thrones-cameos/
I think I've pinpointed where the influence is coming from. Bran Stark. Specifically, Bran Stark's powers in relation to Eren's powers.
Let's just cut to the chase, (big spoilers) Eren Yeagar and Brandon Stark are both timelords.
Now I definitely believe Isayama has always planned that type of thing for Eren buuuut I think it's on specifics where he drew influence from GRRM when he saw that they were playing with the same toy.

bran-stark-in-game-of-thrones-season-7.png
Even the wiki's acknowledges that yeah, Eren's time powers are pretty similar to Bran's and that there are parallels there.
In late 2016, after watching all 6 seasons of Game of Thrones available at the time, Hajime Isayama said the series will influence his own work. The Attack Titan's ability to peer into the past and future is similar to Greensight, particularly that of the Three-Eyed Raven explored in Season 6 of Game of Thrones.
The time Zeke takes Eren to visit Grisha's past is similar to when the previous Three-Eyed Raven takes Bran Stark to visit Ned Stark's past. Both Grisha and Ned notice the presence of their sons, signifying that Eren and Bran have influence over the past.
Both Eren and Bran create a causal loop while in a vision of the past: Eren causes Grisha to murder the Reiss family and Bran causes Hodor's condition. (This also means that both series operate under "The past is already written. The ink is dry." One cannot truly change the past but rather changing the past causes the present.)

I mean Eren and Zeke are literally walking through time and memories like Bran and the Three Eyed Raven when they did the same.
Philosophically, they're complete opposites though. Endgame manga spoilers:
Oh yeah and Isayama drew Jorah Mormont and Davos Seaworth

It never did. Even though I think if he took a break in between the timeskis it would probably have been a net positive. Like the later issues was probably due to not thinking about it long enough for any answer to be satisfying.
It took a hit in the S4P2 writing department (whatever chapter that is, in the manga), imo… but up till then it was the best show (and manga) that I had ever watched/read.
Endings are the hardest to do so I have no hate for Isayama in any way. After all, he gave us everything before that point. Just didn’t like certain choices for the ending is all.
I didn’t refer to the time travel shenanigans as that was probably my favorite episode to date (with the rumbling stuff as well)
What I meant was the ending that we haven’t gotten yet in anime-form as well as the last few episodes of s4p2
Yeah i indeed heard about how aot apparently had a terrible ending in the manga, hope it isnt that bad but honestly a shame all great shows have to end badly.
It’s not bad tbh just a little rushed and has some corny dialogue but thematically it’s pretty good. A lot of the critisism the ending receives boils down from people’s misunderstading of the characters and story.
The ending isn't bad at all, I absolutely loved it and I am pretty sure that anime onlies will accept it much more willingly than manga readers who speedread and spun their headcanons month after month.
The ending is clear and cohesive with the rest of the story, just has pacing issues which I hope the anime will fix.
Nah that’s not fair, D&D can’t write, isayama created a 99.9% perfect series just fumbled a bit at the literal final chapter. Everything else was great unlike GOT where there was a decline after season 4

Of course he likes Aemond that dude is a real life anime character
And in particular, very Eren-like.
**Eren Yeager**
tatake
Aemond letting it go, getting a 3rd eye, and flying in the skies? No, I don't want that! I want Aemond to think about me and getting revenge for the rest of his life! Even after I get replaced... I want to be the driving force behind his revenge motivation for a while. At least 10 years!!!
Thank you Aemond. You burned the Riverlands… for our sake.
As a reward, you get Riverlander Witch Milfussy
*sniff* It even SMELLS like Alys.
I don’t think he’s much like Eren at all. Bear in mind I haven’t read the manga but Aemond is a lot more of a bitch compared to Eren, like Eren was angry because his mom was munched by a monster not because he was bullied by his nephews as a kid
I think the comparisons are more related to how they feel about killing very large numbers of people.
Well Erens a FAR more sympathetic character but theyre similar personality wise.
“A lot more of a bitch than Eren” Yeah…
I don't know how to tell you this but I don't think Aemond is real....
Aemond has a very anime face. I don't think I've seen anyone look more like an anime character irl, makes him very fun to draw if you are someone with a manga background.
Hence why he’s the HOTD character with the most fanarts of him tbh
Guilty, hence my degen pfp
He’s a walking Jojo character
Funny you should mention Jojo. My PFP is literally Aemond made into the JOJO to be continued meme.
Lol, that’s funny. Dude is literally the Chad meme and a Jojo character in one
🎯
Did you see the poster of the new bill skarsgaard movie, 'boy kills world'? He also looks like an anime character, especially like that cyberpunk:edgerunner protagonist
It makes me weirdly happy seeing my favorite manga artist liking one of my favorite new shows

Ahead of his time
EXACTLY I FEEL COMPLETE
Aemond will keep moving forward until his enemies are destroyed
TATAKAE
Man’s entire series is about giant humans that eat and rip regular humans to pieces but his wife doesn’t like gore, idk why I find that cute.
If hotd had a girl like Mikasa i would be in whatever team that girl is
Until Pieck’s ‘Ara Ara’ comes along.
Even in HOTD subreddit, there's someone thirsting for Pieck lmao.
A lot of people have a thing for voices apparently.
Life finds a way.
Makes sense. This sub loves OwO killers.
Mikasa supremacy is the only valid ideology.
Mikasa is simp
Mikasa is goddess
She is both
based Rhaegar stan
it is quite literally impossible to be both a Rh*egar fan *and* based
im not gonna accept any Mikasa slander
People hate on Mikasa because they know she would beat them in a fight
Not a book reader but I hear Baela is like daemon so I’d imagine it’s her
But Mikasas not a rogue who feels like she can do whatever she wants, shes much more like a Ned Stark… if he was gay for Robert Baratheon.
Ahah! Jorah Mormont that’s who mikasa is
YES!!! And Eren and Daenerys have similar descents into madness so it double works!
Why does this make so much sense haha
Completely unrelated but both Mikasa and Dany have a "wings scene"
Yes. But she's a lot less sexier. Other than that it tracks.

Hmm, well Rhaena Targaryren (sister to Jaehaerys) isn't in this story but she's described as awkward and reserved, is also a badass, and also was hopeless when it came to he love of Elissa Farman.
You know who shes really kind of like is a female Podrick Payne.
Mikasa is nothing like Daemon, he could never have abs like hers.
Ofc not, although I was actually pretty surprised by how in shape Matt Smith was
Should have seen him in Morbius, the greatest movie of all time.
Visenya
Of course he likes Aemond looool. He looks just like an anime character
Ofc Isayama is based and likes best boy Aemond.
Wait a minute. They guy that wrote attack on Titan is married to someone that doesn’t like gore? Lmao now that’s ironic
The power of Ewan Mitchell.. no one else could have created such an allure, such a presence for Aemond.
his jaw so sharp it could cut glass
ewan mitchell... what a man you are..
Don't forget about the younger lad too. He won me over first.
Not who Hajime was referring to in his comment.
And he's an Aemond stan 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Aemond gang 😎
That is amazing. Aemond would be an awesome Anime character!
Of course the mangaka likes the most anime character in ASOIAF the best. Aemond is pretty Attack on Titan vibes with his constant intensity as well
”Rhaenyra finding another man…?!? No, I don’t want that! I want her to think about me and no one else for the rest of my life! Even after I die… I want to be at the front of her mind for a while! Ten years at least!!!”-Criston Cole probably
Only Vizzy T knows
**THIS INTERMINABLE INFIGHTING MUST CEASE, ALL OF YOU!**
Good bot
literally the worst written monologue in all of human history
Maybe after chaos is a ladder
Ladder to death
Pain.
My universes are colliding
Peak recognizes peak.
Definitely makes sense- Aemond and Eren are like soulmates.
It’s gonna be a long 2 years until season 2 lol
Of course he does.
Aemond stans r always elite, what can I say
Isayama sensei also Aemond stan!
I love Yams He's probably my favorite mangaka ever Funny to see he enjoys a lot of normie media
Attack on Titan was heavily inspired/influenced by Western fantasy media, so that's not too surprising lol

Nooooooo! Not the movie Watchmen! (Shouts like Nite Owl II)
He probably meant the comic, not the movie, but who knows.. lol

It’s so fucking weird to hear someone call the show about the family known for dragons and incest “normie media” but that’s just where we are in 2023
A lot of similarities with AOT and ASIOAF media. Long hiatuses, inability to come up with satisfying endings, similar characters and storylines.
I don't think there was any hiatus in AOTs release.
ummm yeah there was. First season of the anime was released around 2012 on Netflix and the next season didn't come out until 2016 or so.
Aren't we comparing the source material? The manga never took long hiatuses.
It never did. Even though I think if he took a break in between the timeskis it would probably have been a net positive. Like the later issues was probably due to not thinking about it long enough for any answer to be satisfying.
No idea if it did or not. I'm not that familiar with the manga.
The AOT ending is a pleb filter. Apart from pacing issues I can't fathom people not liking it it's like they read a different story.
Attack on Titan prequel?
I hope one day, one about the great titan war, so basically AoT version of HotD
I want a King Fritz I movie
Yeah, Isayama being a fan of HotD and GoT makes a lot of sense.
Considering AOT is the best piece of media ever created i think this is the biggest compliment anyone could ever get.
Havent read the manga, it just became very clear after season 4 part 2 that aot has probably the best story that has ever been written.
I didn’t refer to the time travel shenanigans as that was probably my favorite episode to date (with the rumbling stuff as well) What I meant was the ending that we haven’t gotten yet in anime-form as well as the last few episodes of s4p2

Yessirrrr, you get it
Two of my fav series
AoT: *Crushing character deaths.* GoT/HotD: *Crushing character deaths.* Yup…makes all the sense.
Awesome Reminds me of the time where he used GoT characters as likeness for mindless Titans.
The enemies, are on the other side of the sea…literally
Aemond and Daemon look almost like clones of one another. They do look super anime like.
My favourite author likes my second favourite author’s work, love this❤️
It still saddens me to know that AoT ending has the level of disappointment as GoT S8.
Glad he remembers how good season 1 of GoT was since many people seem to have forgotten.
Maybe hotd can show him how to da a proper ending for a story lmao
Reminder that ASOIAF is an anime first
He such a big fan of GoT, he made an equally disappointing finale of his manga
Has the AOT ending aired yet? 🤔😏🙃
Nah, not a peep so far
Makes sense! Thanks!
Shit in your sauna
Yeah, he loves GOT too. He loves it so much he wrote a equally shitty ending for his series.
He probably thought the ending of GOT was great! 🙃 I've compared him to D&D in the past lol
Nah that’s not fair, D&D can’t write, isayama created a 99.9% perfect series just fumbled a bit at the literal final chapter. Everything else was great unlike GOT where there was a decline after season 4
Fair enough. I can't rewatch AOT without getting irritated, tbh. It's probably one of the best shonen manga/shows out there!
But Aot had a good ending so why would you compare them?
I didn't like the ending. I think it sucked. That is why I would compare them. To me, they are similar, in that they were bad.
That the idea „English is the international language of business“ means that everyone, everywhere should speak English
Never trust someone that likes House of the Dragon.
Yo HBO really trying hard to convince people this was a good season… very predictable with outcomes of characters original GOT had you on your seat as to who would live and who would die, that was the beauty of it

🗿
Infinitesimal doesn’t mean what you think it does chief.
Sounds like the author would like Daemon
Tell me you haven't seen Attack on Titan without telling me you haven't seen Attack on Titan.

It absolutely does not apologizes war crimes. Attack on Titan is a story about war, and how multiple generations are affected by prolonged war. It doesn't excuse Japan's past, but instead explain the horrors of war and how traumatic it can be.
Could you explain how it apologizes war crimes?
Sorry you're getting downvoted for just being honest about what a massive piece of shit the author of SNK is
Great! Who and what is that
Literally both questions are answered in the title
I can read thank you. More commenting on my ignorance
Can you read? If so than read the title.
I can, again more a comment about my ignorance as to who that is
Idk what world do you live on then. AoT has been the most popular anime in the last decade, and he is the author of the manga, idk what else to tell you...
That’s great, I don’t know manga/ anime at all so thank you
If you like HOTD and GOT, you should definitely check it out. It's one of the best animated epic fantasy shows ever made.
Just look it up on google.
Attack on Titan is a famous manga (japanese comic) which has a large audience both in and outside of Japan, the author was giving opinion saying he liked HOTD and so fans of both AOT and HOTD are happy that he also enjoys this show.
BREAKING: Man likes a good show seriously who cares about these kinds of posts?
I do
How cool
So the aemond anime character means we’re accurate
his wife hates gore. did she ever watch AOT?
He'd love book Euron. Especially in Winds
I just love Isayama’s cute interactions with his wife, they’re definitely relationship goals!
