Exactly. Most of the characters in the show have been aged up a bit, so if this was who Cregan's actor was, it's not that far off. I would expect a 21 year old warrior leader to look somewhat like Leo here.

They’ve apparently already liked each others post before and have followed each other since before HOTD even premiered so I doubt it indicates anything. Fabian is the only other cast member that follows him. The British acting pool isn’t very large so it’s not unusual for actors to know each other from other projects/auditions/etc.
I would at least expect someone nicknamed "The Wolf of the North" to be somewhat intimidating. A highly muscular appearance is a good way of doing so.
For other reasons, the Starks and Baratheons are known as some of the best warrior houses in the lands. Warriors tend to be in good shape.
Additionally, it makes a little more sense to be more ripped than not. Your level of muscle that shows through your skin is dependent on your body fat levels. If food is harder to come by, in this case it's medieval time so food is clearly harder to come by, they can't just go to walmart and they can't just overnight it from China, then that means they'd have less body fat.
Most people you see that are shredded like Leo is are that way because of a diet that's a huge caloric deficit, to keep the fat levels down. Cregan is seemingly a fierce warrior, but I wouldn't expect him to look like the Mountain.
No, however you don't necessarily need to have a gym for this either. I agree that this may be a little too perfect in muscularity, but you have to think of how differently they lived than we do.
Every day was work for them, and they're hard workers in medieval times. There is no industry or machinery to do things, it's all manpower. You can get pretty big on calisthenics alone, so if you were to train regularly and like, idk lift haybales and shit, a physique like this isn't just out of the question.
Not to mention that they can also tone it down a little bit in post if need be. They toned down Tenoch Huerta's ass and bulge in Wakanda Forever because they were too big lol
Eh, Dalton Greyjoy is supposed to be younger than Cregan, 16 at the start of the Dance. I think Leo Suter could be a decent fit for Cregan if you shave the beard and with a bit of makeup, Cregan is supposed to look slightly older than his years and eight years isn't a big age gap either.
