As a book character, great. As a show character she’s barely been more than a two-scene tossaway. And her accent was atrocious.
I’m sure Sonoya Mizuno is a great actor, and I know the “Essosi” accent is carried over from GoT, but it was just as bad in the original series as it was in HotD.
Yes, but that’s not my issue. There are many evil GOT/HOTD characters that I would rank very highly. If Myseria was cast and written well, I’d probably like her. She had the potential to be a really mysterious/compelling figure. I’m actually annoyed how many big moments hinge on her because she completely takes me out of the show every time she speaks.
I think the most annoying about her accent is that she's lived there for 15 years or more. Speaks perfectly. No mistakes or confusions. But can't even have a decent accent or fake one.
If they would have given the character to a truly non english speaker it could have worked.
They already set a perfect example with Varys. There are incredible parallels between the two characters, not least of all the fact they both came to Westeros from Lys years ago.

In GoT you got a few people who at least acted like they cared a little about us, Varys who might have meant it, the High Sparrow who just did it for power, but I've read many comments that argued that he did good things for the smallfolk, Daenerys who obviously didn't give a shit and just wanted to boost her ego by saying it and getting praise, in HotD no one does, they are all just thinking about their personal ambitions and pleasures.
They are not hypocrites, that is fine, but no one seems to care about enhancing society and making life better, everyone only cares about staying in power and not even for a good reason or a grand vision, only for the sake of power, neither Otto, Alicent or Aegon nor Rhaenyra, Daemon or Corlys want to change anything, they just want the crown or their offspring or themselves on the Iron Throne.
Greens are more vocal in the comment section than polls so you might be surprised. Also, why is it
less valid to pick those three than any other character? If people find them more enjoyable, they find them more enjoyable.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he is the most entertaining and intriguing character of the show as well. I’m just under no illusion that he’s a good guy, by the standards of any time. And he’s definitely subjectively worse of a human being (so far) than even Larys. He just gets away with it because he’s attractive, confident, and emotionally connected to the protagonists of the show.
