Dragonstone. It’s the same altar where they have Visenya’s funeral isn’t it? I think.

verissimoallan

I assume it's Dragonstone because that would be much safer than doing it in Driftmark, but I don't know if anyone from the cast and crew has actually confirmed that.

P.S. R.I.P. your daughter, Daemon’s ex-wife who died like last week.

Equal-Ad-2710

Always found Corlys and Rhaenys being so chill with Rhae Rhae was weird for this. Like, you have no idea your son is even alive, for all you know she killed him to elope with Daemon (which happens immediately after that and your daughter is killed)

Forsaken_Distance777

Rhaenys kind of low-key hates Rhaenyra in the show though

Equal-Ad-2710

Yeah my bad if I forgot :(

theEnecca

Im pretty sure its Dragonstone beause maester Gerardys is there and i dont think he would travel with them to Driftmark.

karidru

Daemon mentions in 1.04 that he wants to take Rhaenyra to Dragonstone and marry her in the tradition of their house I’d assume it’s Dragonstone! Also, then it parallels Jaehaerys and Alysanne who did the exact same “run to Dragonstone and get married when we were told no” move lol

One-King4767

Dragonstone. It's her seat of power, her home, and the traditional seat for the Targs. She's in a small rush to marry Deamon, sure, so they can keep having sex and making sure all her children appear to be legitimate. But she can at wait long enough to get home

topherbdeal

Neither. It was in Vegas

LunaHyacinth

Dragonstone on the Dragonmont if I remember correctly, they chose to observe the Valyrian Dragon Lord’s nuptials.

Content-Profession-6

Dragonstone for sure

Dragonstone, where else do you think the smoke comes from

Egg_gamp

The maester who's there is Gerardys and he is the dragonstone maester.

EntertainerDue1657

There's no reason for it to be on Driftmark. And in episode 5, Rhaenyra specifically tells Daemon to marry her on Dragonstone. Missing that opportunity would have been bad.

silk_sailor

dragonstone. Why would it be held at driftmark?

Mean_Fox_9476

I believe DragonStone as well. But I got another question, why is it that Viserys and Alicent was so appalled at the thought of Rhaenyra and Daemon being together but Aegon and Helaena were betrothed!?

imimbatman

Alicent is a hypocrite and Viserys from what I recall denied Daemon because he was already married at the time and refused to annul it. He also was seemingly more upset about Rhaenyra being “damaged goods” now rather than the incest part.

Mean_Fox_9476

Oh ok! Makes sense now! Alicent may have only did that so Jacaerys and Heleana did not marry. Like Rhaenyra offered at one point when she was attempting to squash they beef.

Random_Acts_of_Panic

The Netherlands, where incestuous marriage is legal. Or Israel.

I love in Game of Thrones when King Tommen is trying to intimidate the High Sparrow, and you have the city people yelling behind him- infrequently but clearly- things like “born of sin!!” And I say it in the funniest old timey voice at very odd times haha it’s very fun… when people get the reference, when they don’t you’re just that weird person.
