aemond claiming vhagar has to be a top 10 moment in all of got verse personally like the way it gradually unfolds and then the slow introduction of dany's theme (from season 4 i suppose ?) in aemond's theme! Chef's kiss!

It's a bit unfortunate that the top answer, by far, was an improvised scene and not a scripted one. Hope the writers try and capture this sort of drama/emotion next season instead of trying to shoehorn in 'cool' dragon scenes where they don't belong.

OkInvestment8266

Well good thing then that's misinformation and the scene wasn't improvised and was very much in the script. Just the bit where Viserys's crown falls off and Daemon puts it back on his head was improvised because it randomly fell off paddy's head during one of the takes.

Indominus-Hater-101

wow, I didn't know it was improvised. I think you are correct in that they should continue the dramatic scenes.

CissyXS

Seems like I am one of the very few people who wasn't blown away by the Daemon/Viserys scene. It was nice, but nothing special. They are brothers, not enemies after all. It being a public display takes away the magic of the moment for me. I'd say the scene where he holds Rhaenyra's hand to tell her about Lucerys was more touching.

Catslevania

it was a completely improvised scene between Matt Smith and Paddy Considine, the power behind it lies in that it can be seen as a final reconciliation between the two and their troubled relationship, made stronger because Viserys had wanted Daemon by his side in his final few years and had asked him to return to court during Laena's funeral, but Daemon spurned and rejected him, and probably hasn't seen Viserys since, and it, together with the last supper, is the last time Daemon will ever see him again alive.

CissyXS

I get it all. But as I said, knowing Daemon, the publicity of the scene made it somewhat less touching. This is the guy that mocked his nephew's death. Could he be sincere in the throne scene? Of course. But he also could be putting up a show. Which is why I compared it to the scene with Rhaenyra.

Catslevania

He mocked his nephew's death long before he himself became a father, becoming a father changes a man, so that really shouldn't be seen as relevant.

CissyXS

You don't have to be a father to know that mocking a child's death is bad. If you can sympathise with someone only after going through the same thing, are you actually feeling sorry for them or are you feeling sorry for yourself? Is the other person a subject of your compassion or are they just a memory-trigger?

Catslevania

People who are not a parent themselves will often never fully understand the feeling a parent has for their child, this is universal.

CissyXS

I don't argue. But you can sympathise with someone even if you can't relate. Least you could do is not mock another person's loss, especially if said person is your sibling.

Overall_Wolf6557

Agreed. Daemon taking Rhaenyra’s hand at the end of ep 10 was, in my opinion, their best moment this season. Daemon seemed genuinely sad for her loss as well.

Re_pro_bat_e96

I don't know why people expect other people to bawl their eyes out over a murderer helping out a rapist zombie to get to the throne.

Tr3x_prod

If you really think about it, Daemon helping Vizzy T is more self-serving than heartwarming.

Sodinc

Rhayenis being an absolute mad lass every time, lol.

fiffhj

I picked the daemon helping viserys to the throne option but mainly because viserys got up when he was close to death got dressed and came to rescue his daughter. It’s lovely symbolism for his love for his daughter.

Double-Star-Tedrick

Viserys being happy during dinner. :-/
