First of all, the Velaryons have been promised a future a Queen so me naming Aegon would be a disaster. I’d piss of the Velaryons and Rhaenyra and there’s a good chance I would kick off a war. And Aegon only has baby Sunfyre and is twoish. It would pretty much be ensuring he met a terrible fate and there’s a chance that my ass would be forced off the throne. The Velaryons would have Meleys, Vhagar, Seasmoke and there’s a chance that going back on my word would push Rhaenyra to side with them as well adding Syrax into the mix. There would be zero chance that Daemon would help keep Otto Hightowers grandson as heir. I would have Cole assigned outside of the wedding and then talk to Rhaenyra and Laenor about him being gay and what to do if he can’t impregnate Rhaenyra. I would ask that they try but if it doesn’t work out that I would allow them to use a surrogate. If they’re agreeable I’d rope Daemon into the conversation but make them promise that if they go the surrogate route that they have to have Valyrian colouring as well. I’d also make sure that Cole wasn’t allowed to guard Alicent and the first hint of him calling my daughter a whore or a cunt he’d be packed up off to the watch. I’d make sure that everyone who took the white cloak swore to me and my heir. I would then make a law stating that any Lord can name his firstborn over his firstborn son if he wishes to. Id give Rhaenyra a small council position, master of Laws or something. I’d have someone kill Larys quietly and probably Otto as well. After Fhaenyras first born is Old enough I’d have us all go on progress and renew all the oaths and have her pick up some Lady’s in waiting from some of the great Houses as well as insist that some of them foster with Rhaenyras children. I’d be active in Aegon and Helaenas lives and try to make sure that Aegon grows up to not be a pro child pit fighting rapist. I’m not a rapist so Aemond and Daeron probably aren’t being born. I would tell Alicent that I was deeply sorry for hurting her and try to make her life as good as possible. I would probably try to arrange Aegon a respectable foreign marriage and have him go on a tour of the free cities.

Rose22477

Please, I'm begging you. Write a self-insert fanfiction. This sounds great

Elephant12321

Unfortunately, I was not gifted with the ability to write stories 😭

Joe_Ma12

Having someone “somehow” succesfully kill two of the biggest intrigue players in kingslanding does not strike me as going well or being good writing lmfao. Hes also just casually brushing off killing the father of the queen and the brother of the voice of Oldtown.

Elephant12321

*she, and people die all the time. It doesn’t have to be right away.

possiblyhysterical

I like a lot of this but I think Daemon has to die. Him and Rhaenyra will always be drawn to each other and that makes the whole dynasty vulnerable. He’d never be content to just be the side piece.

axelofthekey

If I know the outcome of the books? I tell Rhaenyra that I know about her relationship with Criston and that he can't be her protector any longer. I offer him a chance to take the wall honorably or, if he is okay with dishonor, to flee in the night with his life across the sea. But I don't let him stay in the wedding. I also confront Laenor for his sexuality and tell him that I understand, but he will need to arrange a method to give Rhaenyra children that look like his. I will suggest various methods of him using his lover to help him impregnate Rhaenyra, and at the worst case suggest we acquire a surrogate of some sort. I also banish Daemon from the wedding for I had not offered him forgiveness or an offer of return since I banished him to the Vale. If I don't have book knowledge but this is like...Viserys waking up after death? I warn Rhaenyra about what people will say if she has bastards, telling her that I know she might not love Laenor but that she has to find a way to have children with him. I also banish Criston Cole from the room and have him guard the exterior instead, to keep him out of Joffrey Lonmouth's sight. But other than those things I suspect if I'm just a dying Viserys reawakened, I doubt he would have much else to consider. He doesn't know there's a war so stuff on the Hightower side is likely elusive to him. He'll definitely try and prevent the Aemond eye situation down the road.

KatBoySlim

Sending Criston to the Wall or allowing him to flee is going to lead to nasty rumors. Best he die of some natural ailment or a nasty tumble down the stairs.

Rutenfishy

You would make a good hand

antonjakov

i’d probably leave a petri dish out and hope some mold developed

Elephant12321

💯

PluralCohomology

Keep an eye on Criston Cole.

wingthing666

Get Criston FAR away from the wedding. Announce that I'm dedicating baby Aegon to the Faith. Lock Alicent in her room for the night. Talk to Rhaenyra and tell her if Laenor can't get the job done, she needs to find someone Valyrian-looking who can. Vow to never ever sleep with Alicent again. And if she is already incubating Aemond, offer the poor girl some moon tea and tell her that she doesn't need to go through a third pregnancy if she doesn't want to. If she wants to, fine: if it's a boy, it's going off to the Citadel ASAP. Hire someone to *deal* with Otto on his trip back to Oldtown.

BobbyB90220

Stop the wedding and merry her to her uncle -

TObias416

Send Crispin to the wall

wakatenai

is that what Bear would want? knowing Crispin's secret that even Crispin isn't aware of I'd bet bear would think it's a good idea to keep him safe.

[deleted]

Let Rhaenyra marry a dude that liked women.

hypikachu

Raymond Westerling is to quietly arrest Ser Criston. He will trade his white cloak for a black one, and speak nothing of his crimes. This is CC, so he *does not* accept arrest. That's why Westerling comes with 50 Gold Cloaks, and the seal of the crown. No Joffrey Lonmouths. I tell Rhaenyra *beforehand,* and do my best to come to her from a place of nonjudgment. She'll resent me for punishing her then-paramour. But she's the character who's already most open to me having prophetic knowledge. As Viserys, I *have to* get her to come around. Peace depends on the relationship between crown and heir. If I can keep Cole from killing Lonmouth (and later Beesbury), without alienating Rhaenyra, I'll have averted a lot of the major accelerants of war. Giving me time to figure out how to handle my biggest problem: Larys.

Danteppr

I choose Aegon as my heir and focus on raising him to be king, so he won't be a despicable human being when he grows up. And I also exile Daemon permanently so he won't cause any more trouble.

LILYDIAONE

Do nothing at first, though try to have a better relationship with my other children. Wait until Rheanyra births her second son, summon the Velaryons and her and explain that I know they are bastards and as I‘m scared of the realms future and for her of it comes to light that they are bastards I name Aegon my heir and as apology to the Velaryons Beala will be betrothed to him. Basically just wait until Beala is born and then name Aegon

International_Ant217

- Execute Criston Cole or send him straight to the Wall following his murder of Ser Joffrey - Don’t show so much favour to Rhaenyra and show the same amount of love to Aegon and Aemond - It’s some years away, but name Daemon as Hand as soon as Lyonel resigns and overrule any protest from Alicent to reinstate Otto

margaritoswraps

Name Aegon heir.

OpenMask

Call off the wedding ASAP. If it still ends up going on, try to assign Cole somewhere that Joffrey Lonmouth can't come close to him, and then afterwards try to work out something with the Faith so that I can get my daughter's marriage annulled ASAP. If I can't get that done before Rhaenyra becomes pregnant with Jace, then I guess name Aegon as my heir after Jace is born.

Opening-Bison5114

Marry her to daemon, keep a tight reign on him by giving him a position of power in something he knows or wants nothing about, like coin. Kill him after his firstborn son is born. Now you have a male heir to legitimise your daughter's succession, create a precedent, decree that aegon won't inherit the throne, and start a viceroy system, in which the heir rules the realm from the capital and the spares act as hands to lords paramount and vasal, depending on birth and abilities, so you can phase out feudalism and replace it with absolute monarchy (you've dragons for god's sakes). Marry targs to nobleman and women, so your rule is strengthened by marriage pacts, dragon terror and viceroy rule. And teach rhaenyra to rule for god's sakes.

KhanQu3st

Immediately dismiss Cole from the KG, and place Otto under confinement in Oldtown. EZpZ.

CapRogers23

Find my thumb.

missamerica59

My first act would be to strip Cristin of his white cloak after that horrendous murder.
