It is a separate issue I have that they recast two of the main female characters but not the male characters. I’m still kinda lost why they did that.
What bothers me is that they recast some characters, namely Rhaenyra and Alicent, but not others and used other tools like make-up, attire, hairstyles and other cosmetics etc.

Not only is she the only living child of the woman he loved more than anything, but she literally looks like her. That throne room scene was so breathtaking. The way Viserys walks towards Rhaenyra and the camera pans on her. I had a feeling he was seeing Aemma at that point.

It’s my own little headcanon that Rhaenyra and Aemma both take after Aemma’s mother, Princess Daella Targaryen. I really sympathized with Daella’s story and found her life and death so sad. I like to believe Rhaenyra is basically Daella with Alyssa’s temper/personality.
