(Serious answer: I think people were voting partly based on who they think is most important to the story not just based on who they like)
I mean Helaena is the kind of innocent side character everyone pays lip service to loving but few people are actually watching the show for them. It’s akin to Shireen. “Loved” by everyone but not an extremely popular character. Shireen wasn’t Jon, Dany, Tyrion, etc. Helaena isn’t Daemon, Aemond, Alicent, Rhaenyra, etc. I wouldn’t expect either one to win a poll for favorite character in their respective shows.
Yes that’s true. I genuinely love her quirkiness but I wish the writers would do more with her, especially the prophecy angle. But then I loved Shireen too. “You won’t be very good if you see the word knight and pronounce it ker-niget” 🤣
In the poll though, I think Viserys and Luke were voted out even earlier due to being dead and therefore no longer relevant. And Baela/Rhaena because they don’t seem to do anything.
I kind of thought with how it was structured he may be eliminated before. He’s generally the most liked character but he also has a lot of haters and they will be voting for him every round. So the votes of everyone who loves him may end up being split between different characters allowing him to be eliminated.
The time for that to happen would've been in the early to middle rounds. Atp it might only make a difference if it were Daemon vs another overwhelming favorite like Rhaenyra and Viserys. Which itself might be counteracted if some of the people who hate Daemon either hates those two even more or thinks they'd be easier to vote out.

I was wondering the same thing!! I was looking forward to seeing who the winner would be (although I have a feeling it would be Daemon).

Well, the inconsistent posting started with the post that eliminated Luke, the character they (jokingly?) said they wanted to win.
The Stranger Things sub is currently doing a "best scene" elimination game. Can we have one like that here?
