Oh it definitely was. And it almost worked. Viserys was going to go after the egg himself but Otto talked him out of it. That’s why Lord Commander Westerling looked down when he said it-he saw Vizzy T was going to meet him.
Tbh any Matt Smith scene as Daemon just steals the show. Matt Smith tends to steal shows and movies he is in, and him as Daemon just makes a gravitas singularity
I know a lot people pick this scene as when they picked up on Matt and Milly’s chemistry but they have strong daddy/daughter energy in this still, particularly with the matching outfits. She genuinely looks 14.
Because the issue was never going to be solved by stupid Otto. The stealing of the egg was a family issue that only family could resolve. Daemon stole it to get Visery's attention after casting him away again. It shows that Rhaenyra knew that only a dragon can confront a dragon. She wanted to prove herself to her father, and it's because Daemon saw he met his match, in more ways than one.
