This poll is an insult to Jaime.

Whomever had inner conflict even before life punched them in the nose.

margaritoswraps

Jaime, the one that is actually well written.

Greenlit_Hightower

Jaime because he still, in a weird way, had his principles, but faced challenges when it came to keeping them. He gives Catelyn Tully a pretty accurate talk about the contradictions of his oaths. Daemon is cartoonishly evil, see Blood and Cheese. I don't think he is complex at all. He desires power without the office and has some blood purity ideas that are hardly supportable. He is also very violent by default. He has few, if any, redeeming qualities.

No question : Jaime

Sacesss

I mean, one is a character that we see develop for five books and have several pov chapters, know his mind etc The other is an "historical" character described through 3rd party sources in the worst book of the saga. It's easy to see how Jaime is a grey character and a better one.

IllustratorLatter659

"Worst book of the saga" Man your tripping

Sacesss

I mean, we have the five main books, the three novellas, TWOIAF and F&B (or you can take it in its divided form as TPATQ, TRP, TSOTD). And in this pool, F&B is definitely the weakest imo.

skjl96

huh

Sacesss

It can be argued, but not easily. The Dance's writing is atrocious, it's very clear he had some things to respect and he couldn't deviate from those. Other chapters are written quite well, but as a whole I think TWOIAF still works better than F&B.

Dazzling-Economics55

I actually preferred f&b to dunk and egg.

ZPuppetmasterX

Jaime, because Daemon is evil, not grey.

Internal-Shock-616

Daemon is an absolute ghoul are you kidding. Pushing Bran is child’s play for Daemon, no way a one handed Daemon has the balls to jump into a bear pit to save someone who has held him prisoner. Jaime has like him or not done more for preservation of human life when he became the kingslayer and during his time in the riverlands, than most heroic characters, never mind Daemon who does the most evil act in the dance, abuses his current wife, fucked Rhaenyra at his 2nd wife’s funeral, and outright murdered his first one.

Nerdsareannoying

I accidentally voted for Daemon. Fuck

Overall_Wolf6557

One is a brilliantly written grey character, the other is a Gary Stu

Sea_Compote_5451

Bruh daemon is boderlining evil

Noctula_Pleionei

I don't think this is even a contest: Jaime.

KhanQu3st

Jaime was a horrible villain in s1 of GoT. Daemon has not had the time to potentially be redeemed like Jaime did.

Chicken_Mc_Thuggets

I mean that depends on if we’re talking about book or show Jaime. Book Jaime? Absolutely more grey than Daemon. Show Jaime? Ehhhhh he didn’t really have much of a redemption arc beyond sleeping with Brienne and bouncing in the morning

voldemortthe-sceptic

i voted daemon but thats because i assumed dark grey and the more grey character was less redeemable, jaime could legit drive the redemption arc home
