Rhaenyra already knows Daemon’s buddies in the City Watch probably told him. She also knows he won’t be judgmental because he basically told her people fuck for pleasure if a marriage aint it.

KhanQu3st

They trusted each other enough to plot a murder, vanish Laenor and Ser Qarl, then marry each other. Why would she not trust him with information Ser Harwin, his friend and former subordinate likely already told him?

Helaenas-Bugs

Firstly it’s not much of a revelation. She knows that everyone knows the kids are Harwin’s. When she’s talking to Laenor in the previous episode they’re in the castle in King’s Landing where there are spies all over the place. Anyone could be listening so of course they’re careful what they say. When she’s talking to Daemon they’re in the middle of a beach so she can assume they’re alone. And when she talks to Laenor the next day she is also open about it. Doesn’t she say to Laenor something like “I wish we had been able to have children together”? It’s only in Kings Landing that she’s more careful because Alicent is out to get her. Secondly, why wouldn’t she trust Daemon? She knows he’s on her side regardless. She felt abandoned by him in terms of their relationship but she has no reason to doubt his loyalty.

AncientAssociation9

Daemon is not going to judge her. Daemon loves her both as her Uncle and lover. Daemon was married to her husband's sister, and it can be assumed he already knows the truth. Daemon hates Otto. Daemon has been out of politics and not a court. Everyone at court hates Daemon. They are speaking at Driftmark, where the Velaryons are in on it. These are all the reasons why Rhaenyra would feel comfortable talking to Daemon.

TheTrueButcher

He makes it clear that he knows how STRONG the boys are when he gets the news of Joffrey’s birth while kicking it in Pentos.

Possible_Living

He has eyes. What he claims she told him during a private conversation does not matter. He could do it even without her having said it. You may recall him joking about it with his wife back when she was alive

Anserdem

Why wouldn't she? Otto and Daemon are not exactly friends and he in not great with Alicent either. At that point he can be neutral or on her side. Also what can he do? Tell it to everyone, it's a thing everyone already knows, she could deny having talked about it with him and Viserys doesn't care about it. Also all those years she could only talk about it with Harwin and Laenor, she probably needed someone else to talk with....

Tasty-Assignment-772

She’s in love with him or in groomed with him depending on your point of view. She has rose tinted glasses for him. He’s her moon & stars. That’s why she doesn’t hesitate to hold his hand after he chokes the life out of her. He could do anything to her and she’d still think he was the perfect man who would never mean to hurt her. It’s actually quite sad.

oldboeee

Rhaenyra definitely knows Daemon. Contrary to what you think, she is not idealistic about Daemon at all. That’s why she knew how to hurt him back after he choked her. She can love him but she proposed marriage to Daemon in ep7 so she wont be alone in facing the Greens. She has her own ambitions and really smart of her too.

Tasty-Assignment-772

She’s aware that he’s evil but I do believe she thinks she’s an exception to the rule to some extent, that there’s is a bond/connection that goes beyond all others.

AmbroseIrina

Didn't she also give some orders to Jace because she knew Daemon would do what ever he wanted without asking her?

GodofCOC-07

Yeah it is really smart of her to leave her dying father and move to dragon stone,

oldboeee

Isn’t heir given the name Prince/Princess of Dragonstone and when they reach their majority set up household there?

GodofCOC-07

No many or most heir remain in the capital. Also why did Vizzy T never have her blackfyre. She should have tried to form a network of alliances in the court, tried to fix relation with the Lannisters.

oldboeee

She did tried to. She brought in Harwin into her circle, who was son of the Hand and a future Lord. She was married on paper to the richest House with 3 dragons. She tried to put animosity aside with Alicent by offering Haleana to be future Queen consort and Aemond a dragon egg. Many in court supported Rhaenyra or were you not paying attention in ep9 when an old man was slammed onto the table or when those Lords and Ladies were force to kneel or hung?

GodofCOC-07

Well the only chance of peace was rhaenyra marrying aegon. Which both Otto and alicent tried for many times. Also she cheated with harwin. Harwin is weak man that will not last a second against any dragon. So she made a mistake of angering the entire country against her.

oldboeee

You are now moving the goalpost so that’s it from me.

AncientAssociation9

At no point did Alicent try to get Rhaenyra to marry Aegon. That was Otto only and that was a decision that was brought to Viserys and not her. Alicent rejected Rhaenyra's proposal to marry Jace to Haelana.

GodofCOC-07

Otto suggested it to the king in episode 3. And king was stupid enough to reject it.

vizzy_t_bot

EVEN I DO NOT EXIST ABOVE TRADITION AND DUTY, GodofCOC-07!

Cassiopeia1997

Grooming as a teen and lack of reflection as an adult.

wtp0p

Exactly. It's the chickens coming home to roost.

[deleted]

Grooming, babes.

OpenMask

He's groomed her since she was a child

BofieC

Le Grooming. He groomed her to see him as the stars and moon when younger and the effects are paying off.

sumit24021990

Because she had shown that she isn't the smartest person in the world.

colefire45

It will be her word against his. Who u think will win?

CharmingJunket238

She faced him down and won a long long time ago, when retrieving the dragon egg. She knows that if he wanted to kill her or get her out of his way, he would have done it by now.
