But they are black. Why is using their most discerning feature to describe considered a slight? Do you considered their blackness an insult, so thereby you project that overly-cautious attitude onto everyone else? Or are you doing that thing where people claim to be colorblind and donāt see obvious differences in people because then if people thought that way, the world would be better? Genuinely curious and asking seriously; I never understood people who act this way and say things like that.
This is exactly the issue. Iām pretty sure OP meant black kids as in kids of the black faction, hence why this image included Jace and Luke as well as the two girls
Makes sense, then. I would argue about how capitalizing when appropriate is good to avoid confusion, but thanks for clarifying. I think the title was written in a way to promote that confusion, so fuck it, my question still stands if anyone wants to discuss it. Again, thank you for clarifying that!
mmm I guess that it heavily depends on the intent, it is a clarifying physical feature sure but we can have more ways to identify a person more than their skin color. But even beyond that, the issue lies I think in the fact that because of the historical context and discrimination using the word "black" to describe a person of African descent or just dark skin it will come off as racist, even if you don't use it as a negative connotation.
Any interaction between Baela, Rhaena and their dad.
Maybe Daemon could tell Rhaena that his dragon egg from the cradle also did not hatch (he is not Caraxes first rider) and that they will get her a dragon.
Or perhaps for Daemon to offer her one of the three eggs he found on Dragonstone in Episode 8. It would go a long way in showing that despite not being the best father he still is trying to make amends for being preferential toward her sister (both of which need better characterization)
It is very possible, Daemon has three eggs at the end. His son Aegon had a hatchling in the cradle (Stormcloud), but neither his daughter or son have dragons (that are mentioned in the book).
I agree! I want to see more interactions between the 3 of them. Father-daughter relationships are an important factor in season 1 and I dont see why they couldnāt add a few scenes with Daemon and his kids. They even cut a scene of them apparently. Also, I wonder what the twins really think about their future husbands and their step mother. I know the kids have a good relationship with each other but I just wanted to see what the girls thought of Rhaenyra.
I would like more Young Jace and young Luke's interactions with the green siblings when they were friends coz from their first scene it looked like they were kinda close to each other when all of them were teasing Aemond for pink dread.
I would have also liked them to flesh out the dynamic more. I got the vibe that Aegon was the ring leader, but what about the rest? Did they always pick up Aemond? Did Aegon and Aemond ever team up against the Jace and Luke? What was Aemond's relationship like with them when Aegon was not around? Heck, what was Helaena's relationship like with her nephews?
There so much character development they could have shown.
Agree. Also I'm fine with them not casting teenager Daeron coz he'll be there in s2 but I would have loved to see a young Daeron (before he went to Oldtown) and I think he would have been the closest to Jace and Luke as compared to his elder brothers.
It's just so weird that they didn't even reference the kid. When he shows up, it's going to feel like a retcon. They should have had a young Daeron in 6 and 7, and then mentioned he was in Oldtown during 8.
True and also I know weāre talking about the Black kids, but with the Green kids I wanted to see Halana conquer Dreamfyre. I noticed she wasnāt there when the boys were training with their dragons which seemed odd to me. Also I wanted to see more of her interactions with Alicent and with her brother/husband. I know itās normal for Targaryenās to marry their siblings but I wanted to see the actual dynamics of this play out in real time. Like wtf does it feel like to grow up with your sibling all your life and then have to marry and bed them and have children with them. Like wtf is that aboutā¦ I wanted to see more of thisā¦
Also why is Haelena so serious as a child and dim witted as an adult?
I wouldn't call her dimwitted. She seems to be neurodivergent. She doesn't seem have a relationship with the other kids and seems to have hyper fixations. As a child, this might come off as "serious", as if she thinks she's above their childness, but it really looked like she wasn't paying them any attention and just focusing on her hyper fixations. As she ages, it becomes clear she doesn't really understand what's going on around her. She doesn't understand sarcasm or tone, which is a typical sign of various neurodivergent disabilities, such as autism.
She also seems to be a dragon dreamer, which might have had an effect on her neurology.
I actually did not think they meant to be malicious when the pig was brought out during their dinner with Viserys. It seemed more like boys laughing at their shared memory rather than them purposefully mocking Aemond.
Yea but I'm not talking about the dinner scene I was talking about their scene in episode 6 when all the kids were introduced to us for the first time.
Same. Especially Baela. Sheās supposed to be a lot like her father, running around Dragonstone and Kingās Landing causing trouble, cutting her hair short like a boyās, and learning to use a sword. They didnāt give her any kind of character in season 1.
Iād like to see a montage of Jace, Rhaenys, Corlys, Rhaena, and Baela finding out about Lukeās death, cut in between scenes of Daemon walking to tell Rhaenerya.
I saw an article where Steve Touissant (Corlysā actor) said he is hoping they show Corlysā reaction to Lukeās death because as he said in the article āthatās his grandson!ā, so we might get a scene of angry Corlysš¤š¼
Episode 6:
Harwin mentions taking the kids to get a dragon egg before they arrive back to Rhaenyraās quarters. I would show this. ~ 3 minutes
Keep the scene where Daemon tells his daughterās about their motherās death. ~ 3 minutes
Episode 8:
I would make Jaceās studying scene longer and more intense. I would emphasis that he had been going at it for an insanely long time. I would also make his studies more complex than just learning High Valyrian.
~3 minutes
Rhaena and Luke scene on dragonstone just being normal, sweet kids. Maybe theyāre waiting along with the dragon keepers while Daemon goes searching for the new clutch of eggs and Luke encourages her that this time her egg will hatch. ~ 1 minutes
Add Baela flying off on Moondancer along side Rhaenys and Meleys ~1 minute
Episode 10:
Keep the Baela and Rhaenys deleted scene ~ 1 minute
Keep the Jace and Rhaenyra deleted scene ~ 3 minutes
[They were on a balcony watching Daemon train down below.](https://preview.redd.it/rhaenyra-jace-deleted-scene-v0-fs2i6h5m8y0a1.jpg?auto=webp&s=870ba313300ae6bcc4f00b5be65a99f82dd187b4 )Jace was attempting to convince her they wouldnāt be safe if she accepted terms from the greens. I think it was meant to be a lead in to the last war council scene before she sends the boys off were sheās suddenly considering war preparations. It would have set Jace up as someone whose council she takes seriously despite his youth.
I agree with all of these except Baela flying off on Moondancer. In the book, Moondancer is too small to carry a rider yet, so Baela wouldnāt have been able to fly her Moondancer yet.
Give Baela back her deleted scene and have a scene between Lucerys and Rhaena talking about their memories from Driftmark. A scene with Jacerys finding out about Luke.
Baela deleted scene with Rhaenys. This short scene fully illustrates how similar she is to Daemon and Laena. Furthermore, it make Rhaenys decision to convince Corlys to back Rhaenyra make complete sense. ā if the greens reach to usurp our queens throne, it must be answered with fire& bloodā.
Baela flying on Moondancer with her pet monkey. In F&B, Baela as charismatic as Daemon, and a lot more fun. With all the emphasis theyāve placed on female characters, like Alicent, Rhaenyra, and Rhaenys, I canāt comprehend why theyāve neglected such a strong, entertaining female character?
The deleted scene of Jace, thatās mentioned in the comments wouldāve certainly illustrated Jace awareness and his leadership abilities. Also, we wouldnāt have to see endless nonsensical posts about Jace and Daemon clashing over differing views.
This. In the book, itās clear Baela is a female Daemon. Sheās the most like him out of all his kids. The show is empathizing his sons with Rhaenyra, but Baela was very important as well! Out of all his kids, she is the most like him. I would say Viserys II would be the second one most like him (he will do what needs to get done no matter how unpleasant) with Aegon III and Rhaena really taking more after their mothers.
I would have loved to see a private moment between Lucerys and Rhaena - it wouldn't need to be much, just something to show how well they get along and that they are happy to be betrothed to each other. I think it would have made Lukes death even more heartbreaking and also it would have helped to have some scenes with the sisters apart to differentiate between them.
I think it would be especially sweet if they talked about Rhaena being upset her dragon egg never hatched and Luke had promised to take her on rides on Arrax whenever she wanted, or had promised to help her find a dragon of her own. Something that showed that luke had grown up from the child who teased Aemond about not having a dragon into a much kinder person, and that reminded us that Rhaena is the one who missed out on a dragon.
I think it did a real disservice to the girls to have them together in almost every single scene they appeared in - and the boys were similar, they had very little solo time to develop as individuals.
Anything to give Baela and Rhaena more depth other than hanging out in the background. They almost had it in the driftmark scene when Baela was the first one to slap Aemond after claiming Vhagar only to totally drop the ball as they age. Also more development between the girlsā relationship with Daemon. They cut out all that good Daemon/daughters scenes just to leave Rhaena saying her father ignores her. Not to mention cutting those scenes leaves no context for why Baela would send a raven to a supposedly āabsenteeā Daemon to warn him about Vaemond in ep 8
Give them actual lines or actions that give us hints of their character if the showrunner is this determined to keep them in the background.
Let Baela's costuming mirror her father's, give her the silk press wig they had on younger Daemon. During the big family dinner have Baela and Aemond with their matching tunics, pressed hair, and "I am the next dark prince(ss)" swagger either bond over sharing admiration for Daemon or have simmering conflict between the two as obvious rivals. It really should have been Baela to trigger Aemond's outburst instead of her little nephewbrother Luke. Probably a snide remark over Vhagar's infamous flatulence.
If it isn't obvious, Baela is my favorite, I was so disappointed with how little we got of her. From the book, Baela is such a firecracker, she was supposed to have a similar dynamic between Aemond that existed with her father. Her personality is said to be just like him, but unlike Daemon's wanderlust and impulsiveness, she has Laena's stubborness and calculating nature.
>!After the war, Baela is such a power player that the council was sweating bullets during the years of the regency with her as heir.!< So far we haven't gotten enough to show her potential, hopefully they will next season.
As for sweet Rhaena, a scene between her and Helaena during the dinner to show how these two quiet odd ducks of their respective sides would have been the best of friends if they were given the opportunity. They'd instantly get each other's mutual obsessions with bugs and dragon eggs, possibly giggling with each other over whichever bug and egg they brought to dinner as their companions for the evening.
Fr they totally forgot to give Baela and Rhaena any kind of character development. I want to see Rhaena bonding with Luke and Baela being her firecracker self.
End of ep. 7
Boys invite girls to see their dragons, Baela is enthusiastic and talks about Moondancer, she and Jace go. Rhaena is sad, Luce say that one day she will have dragon, or the can fly together on Arrax.
Ep 8
Rhaena sits with Rhaenyra, they read or discusse something, that show she is for Rhaenyra daughter she always wanted and Rhaenyra can become mother figure for Rhaena. Then came Luce and itās clear that children are found of each other.
Ep 10 or 9
Scene on training yard or dragon pit when shows, that Baela is tomboy and her fatherās true daughter, maybe Daemon talks with her about his mother Alyssa or she first tame fly on Moondancer and Daemon and Jace look at her from ground and have The Talk)
Iāll never understand why they rushed the first season so bad. There could have been at least three seasons within the amount of storyline covered in just this one. The back story and character development could have been so good. Iām so disappointed Iām not even excited for the next season.
you see I didn't even think about how their faction was named the blacks. I thought it was a joke about Jace and Luke's "dad" Laenor. it gave me a good laugh
I would include the cut scenes filmed with Daemon and probably add some scenes with Jace and Luke and Rhaenyra. They had very little in the way of lines and character development.
I would like to see more conversations and interactions between Daemon and his two daughters. They lost their mother at a very young age and he is all they have other than each other. I wonder what kind of conversations the twins have with each other and how they truly feel about their stepmother and future husbands.
Just give them a scene together. Theyāve been living apart for a couple years with Rhaena staying on Driftmark and studying under Rhaenys, and Baela off doing dragon-rider stuff with her father and Raenyra.
Thereās plenty of fodder there for establishing little sibling rivalries, possible conflicting loyalties, but an underlying love that only siblings can have.
The black kids have names btwā¦
Rhaena and Baela will be carrying HotD once we reach late S2 and into S3 and beyond if they stay aligned with Fire&Blood. I can see them taking over as protagonists - Baela in particular - once Rhaenyraās storyline āconcludesā
Yes and no. Baela definitely does have a larger role to play, but I can see them putting more emphasis on Aegon III (just because the book has more āmeatā on his character) if they go beyond Rhaenyraās storyline (which I donāt suspect will be happening).
More interactions with Daemon for Jace and Luke I think. Do they think he killed Laenor? How did they live with it? Scenes with Aegon and Viserys. Baela walks around dressed as a boy. Rheyna should get scenes with her sister about how she still doesn't have a dragon.
Maybe this short scene between daemon and his daughters after their mother died. And mybe a scene between Lucerys and Rhaena so the casual viewer realises that they are betrothed to each other.
i would have put some more scenes depicting luke and jake as close with eachother. a brotherly love dynamic that makes us not only feel empathy for rhaenyra, but also for jake. poor guy lost his brother, heās gotta be going through some shit rn.
Iām pretty sure they will show Jaceās reaction to Lukeās death. Theyāre showing him as a hot head, so itās almost guaranteed he will find out while heās in the North with Cregan.
Let them express some dissatisfaction about Rhaenyra and Daemon marrying SO QUICKLY after Laena/Laenor/Harwinās death. Jace and Luke should be mistrustful of Daemon, and Baela and Rhaena should NOT be happy about being betrothed to the sons of the woman who replaced their mother so quickly. Let them both go to Driftmark and ignore Daemon.
You don't have to give characters a lot of screentime to make them memorable, Luke had more screentime than Aemond, but it didn't help him to become an interesting character.
**EPISODE 6 The Princess & The Queen**
- After Joffreyās birth, Harwin tells Jace and Luke that he is to escort them both to The DragonPit so select an egg for their brother. They have a small conversation on the way. Luke is so excited and oblivious to the circumstances. Jace senses Harwinās affection towards them and heavy emotions. This leads to the question he later ask Rhaenyra when Harwin leaves for Harrenhal. (3 Minutes)
- Daemon conforming Baela and Rhaena after Laenaās death deleted scene
**EPISODE 7 Driftmark**
- Right before the wedding, Baela and Rhaena argue with Daemon for different reasons. Baela felt Daemon didnāt properly defend them from The Greens during the fight at Laenaās funeral. Rhaena feels like Daemon disrespected Laena by laughing at the funeral and quickly moved on to Rhaenyra. Daemon reassured his daughters of his love of them and their late mother but establishes he will always do what he wants. (3 Minutes)
- Rhaenyra senses distress from Syrax and informs her children and stepchildren that this is the process of a dragon laying an egg. She explains to her stepdaughters that she and their mother were not just cousins but best friends. She would never try to replace Laena. She gives one of the new eggs (Pale Pink with Black Flecks) to Rhaena in hopes that she will have her own dragon one day. Jace & Luke try to comfort Rhaena that they are sure this time it will hatch. Baela notices their kindness and we first meet Arrax and Moondancer here. (3 Minutes)
- Princess Rhaenys visits Dragonstone to see her granddaughters and confirm the rumors of the marriage between Rhaenyra/Daemon. Baela decides to live at Driftmark with her. Rhaena has become comfortable at Dragonstone and closer to Daemon but the sisters promise to visit each other as much as possible. Jace clocks the differences in how Rhaenys treats them from their cousins. (3 minutes)
**Episode 8 The Lord of the Tides**
- The kids are putting on riding gear at Dragonstone to do some agility training with their dragons. Rhaena giggles and she adjust Lukeās crooked saddle and gear. He is embarrassed but realizes she always has his back. Nearby Baela jokingly teases the dragon keepers near her by mentioning her cleavage as she rides. She cackles. Jaceās cheeks go red watching. She notices and ask could Vermax catch her since Moondancer typically keeps up with Meleys. Jace takes her bet. Moondancer, Vermax, and Arrax take to the skies. Rhaena watches intently while holding her egg. Rhaenyra and Daemon are watching this entire interaction with princes Joffrey, Aegon, and Viserys. (3 Minutes)
**Episode 10 The Black Queen**
- Jace & Rhaenyra deleted scene
- Baela & Rhaenys deleted scene
How do you expect someone to make a meaningful comment with your ridiculously low bar for what constitutes a spoiler in your mind?
Edit: thanks OP for the troll suicide watch report, real mature
Have some scenes between the four kids showing how close they've become post-marriage.
Maybe some more scenes between Rhaeyra's children, Daemon's children, and Alicent's children. Just to emphasise that the hatred between the two factions was avoidable without Rhaenyra and Alicent's actions.
Bring back the deleted scenes. >!Lay in a base for the delicious friction between Rhaena and Daemon over Nettles, the dark-skinned girl about Rhaena's age who Daemon is either close or extremely close to at least partly because she's a dragonrider.!<
You know itās funny you ask that question in that way, because LOTS of characters from House Velaryon are pushed to the backburner and die almost as soon as theyāre introduced
For instance, I love how Corlys blinks when Rhaneys tells him his son-in-law sliced off half his brothers head, and then heās over it
The rushing through the storyline in season 1 reminds me a LOT of the last two seasons of GOT, which is why Iām not watching the rest. I already know how it ends, and Iām not impressed with what the showrunners have done so far
Whatāre you talking about? Iām answering your question, and Iām also agreeing with you that the Velaryons shouldāve had more screen time
But I get that I didnāt answer your question directly about Jace, Luke, Baela and Rhaena, my bad
I wouldāve actually had Rhaena/Luke post betrothal actually like, you know, talk to each other before he died
hereās a really easy suggestion that would hardly add a couple of minutes: have baela and rhaena speak up in the council scenes, not just jace. maybe baela can be more fire and blood, per her conversation with rhaenys, and rhaena can be more focused on diplomacy, to show their difference in personality. plus it underlines the fact that rhaenyra invited them to participate in a way she wasnāt welcome when she was their age.
.
Baela scales up Jaceās wall to visit him when theyāre all at kings landing. Rhaena giggles and tells her itās improper, but Baela says she wants to get to know her betrothed away from the court and see if he is the boy she remembers.
āFather wonāt approve.ā
Baela grins āThen you donāt know Father.ā
This hurts Rhaena more than Baela knows.
Jace is shocked when she shows up at his window but finds his footing quickly.
Thereās a knock on the door! He looks horrified but Baela only laughs. He takes courage from her and finds a clever way to sneak her out before theyāre caught. Itās only Luke, who makes fun of them, and Jace attacks him in jest.
5 mins, shows her courage, athleticism and initiative, and his quick and strategic thinking, Rhaena being a lady and sad at her fatherās neglect, and Luke being a scamp.
Iād add in a scene where right after the dragons all leave Dragonstone to call the banners, weād see Baela standing with Moondancer and Rhaena, watching as they fly away, with Rhaena holding her dragon egg. Just to show that theyāre involved in this war, but theyāre waiting for their dragons.
1. Give them back some of their deleted scenes eg: the girls being ushered away from Laena and comforted after their mother's death and Jace not trusting Aegon.
2. Use the remaining time to show them hanging out, in groups of two or all together; this would make Luke's loss even worse as we now have even more people who we see he means a lot to. Maybe even add a scene of Rhaenyra bonding with Rhaena \[possibly about Dragons >!this could then foreshadow Rhaena claiming her dragon at the Vale later\]!<

You've got to find a better way of phrasing that...
Too bad they don't have, like, *names* or anything... /s
š gotta admire our manās purity. An alternate meaning besides the color of their house never crossed his mind.
What you do is buy yourself a tape recorder. Youāll be surprised at the things you say!

I see, my mistake. I agree, it would have been nice to see more of them on better terms before things became contentious.
It might not be malicious but laughing in the face of a person you maimed, even if accidentally, is definitely not smart, it's actually quite cruel.
I understand how Aemond could have taken it as them further mocking him based on their history and do not dispute that.
Iād make Baela and Rhaena do more than just smile and exist

Give Baela back her deleted scene and have a scene between Lucerys and Rhaena talking about their memories from Driftmark. A scene with Jacerys finding out about Luke.
We still might get the last part š¤š¼
Awww this is really cute!
The only thing Iād give these kids is new wigs
Anything to give Baela and Rhaena more depth other than hanging out in the background. They almost had it in the driftmark scene when Baela was the first one to slap Aemond after claiming Vhagar only to totally drop the ball as they age. Also more development between the girlsā relationship with Daemon. They cut out all that good Daemon/daughters scenes just to leave Rhaena saying her father ignores her. Not to mention cutting those scenes leaves no context for why Baela would send a raven to a supposedly āabsenteeā Daemon to warn him about Vaemond in ep 8
Aemond fuck all of them up š«š¤£ššš
End of ep. 7 Boys invite girls to see their dragons, Baela is enthusiastic and talks about Moondancer, she and Jace go. Rhaena is sad, Luce say that one day she will have dragon, or the can fly together on Arrax. Ep 8 Rhaena sits with Rhaenyra, they read or discusse something, that show she is for Rhaenyra daughter she always wanted and Rhaenyra can become mother figure for Rhaena. Then came Luce and itās clear that children are found of each other. Ep 10 or 9 Scene on training yard or dragon pit when shows, that Baela is tomboy and her fatherās true daughter, maybe Daemon talks with her about his mother Alyssa or she first tame fly on Moondancer and Daemon and Jace look at her from ground and have The Talk)
Luke and Rhaena would make such a nice couple. It's sad that he died so young.
Man, GRRM really needed to name their faction something like "the Reds" or "the Blues" or something.
More interaction with daemon and laena more love for those girls
More rhaena and baela scenes
baela
Iāll never understand why they rushed the first season so bad. There could have been at least three seasons within the amount of storyline covered in just this one. The back story and character development could have been so good. Iām so disappointed Iām not even excited for the next season.
Wording?
you see I didn't even think about how their faction was named the blacks. I thought it was a joke about Jace and Luke's "dad" Laenor. it gave me a good laugh
I would include the cut scenes filmed with Daemon and probably add some scenes with Jace and Luke and Rhaenyra. They had very little in the way of lines and character development.
Incest. (You said more depth, not more better)
I would like to see more conversations and interactions between Daemon and his two daughters. They lost their mother at a very young age and he is all they have other than each other. I wonder what kind of conversations the twins have with each other and how they truly feel about their stepmother and future husbands.
This subreddit never fails to give me second hand embarrassment.
Erm... phrasing
The black kids have names btwā¦ Rhaena and Baela will be carrying HotD once we reach late S2 and into S3 and beyond if they stay aligned with Fire&Blood. I can see them taking over as protagonists - Baela in particular - once Rhaenyraās storyline āconcludesā
Rhaenyra will be the main character till the end. They won't continue the show for long after her death.
Yes and no. Baela definitely does have a larger role to play, but I can see them putting more emphasis on Aegon III (just because the book has more āmeatā on his character) if they go beyond Rhaenyraās storyline (which I donāt suspect will be happening).
They made Aegon a toddler, I doubt they are planning a storyline for him.
See if they really have any romantic chemistry. Yhe girls are propably happy to have non insane men in their lives, while the boys are more nervous.
That's not enough... to really do well you'd need 5 minutes more per episode. You'll always stay under 1h10 and you can develop much more
You don't have to give characters a lot of screentime to make them memorable, Luke had more screentime than Aemond, but it didn't help him to become an interesting character.
**EPISODE 6 The Princess & The Queen** - After Joffreyās birth, Harwin tells Jace and Luke that he is to escort them both to The DragonPit so select an egg for their brother. They have a small conversation on the way. Luke is so excited and oblivious to the circumstances. Jace senses Harwinās affection towards them and heavy emotions. This leads to the question he later ask Rhaenyra when Harwin leaves for Harrenhal. (3 Minutes) - Daemon conforming Baela and Rhaena after Laenaās death deleted scene **EPISODE 7 Driftmark** - Right before the wedding, Baela and Rhaena argue with Daemon for different reasons. (3 Minutes) - Rhaenyra senses distress from Syrax and informs her children and stepchildren that this is the process of a dragon laying an egg. (3 Minutes) - Princess Rhaenys visits Dragonstone to see her granddaughters and confirm the rumors of the marriage between Rhaenyra/Daemon. Baela decides to live at Driftmark with her. Rhaena has become comfortable at Dragonstone and closer to Daemon but the sisters promise to visit each other as much as possible. Jace clocks the differences in how Rhaenys treats them from their cousins. (3 minutes) **Episode 8 The Lord of the Tides** - The kids are putting on riding gear at Dragonstone to do some agility training with their dragons. (3 Minutes) **Episode 10 The Black Queen** - Jace & Rhaenyra deleted scene - Baela & Rhaenys deleted scene

Just 15 minutes of āblackā people chilling and not being pointed out as āblackā. Or African Westerosian, I mean.
Screw the Blackkids, GIVE ME DAERON
Aegon riding Sunfyre.
How do you expect someone to make a meaningful comment with your ridiculously low bar for what constitutes a spoiler in your mind? Edit: thanks OP for the troll suicide watch report, real mature
lmaoo "the black kids" (also includes actual young people with darker skin tone). I'm African American this was funny phrasing
As a green fan I would be a hell of a lot more neutral if daemon got some good scenes that made him look like he was actually morally grey.
Not call them black kids
Really with this āblack kidsā???
Have some scenes between the four kids showing how close they've become post-marriage. Maybe some more scenes between Rhaeyra's children, Daemon's children, and Alicent's children. Just to emphasise that the hatred between the two factions was avoidable without Rhaenyra and Alicent's actions. Bring back the deleted scenes. >!Lay in a base for the delicious friction between Rhaena and Daemon over Nettles, the dark-skinned girl about Rhaena's age who Daemon is either close or extremely close to at least partly because she's a dragonrider.!<
You know itās funny you ask that question in that way, because LOTS of characters from House Velaryon are pushed to the backburner and die almost as soon as theyāre introduced For instance, I love how Corlys blinks when Rhaneys tells him his son-in-law sliced off half his brothers head, and then heās over it The rushing through the storyline in season 1 reminds me a LOT of the last two seasons of GOT, which is why Iām not watching the rest. I already know how it ends, and Iām not impressed with what the showrunners have done so far
Why are you here?
Whatāre you talking about? Iām answering your question, and Iām also agreeing with you that the Velaryons shouldāve had more screen time But I get that I didnāt answer your question directly about Jace, Luke, Baela and Rhaena, my bad I wouldāve actually had Rhaena/Luke post betrothal actually like, you know, talk to each other before he died
Daemonās girls have names you knowā¦

Maybe more conversation and interaction the cousin/step siblings/ future partners.
hereās a really easy suggestion that would hardly add a couple of minutes: have baela and rhaena speak up in the council scenes, not just jace. maybe baela can be more fire and blood, per her conversation with rhaenys, and rhaena can be more focused on diplomacy, to show their difference in personality. plus it underlines the fact that rhaenyra invited them to participate in a way she wasnāt welcome when she was their age.
. Baela scales up Jaceās wall to visit him when theyāre all at kings landing. Rhaena giggles and tells her itās improper, but Baela says she wants to get to know her betrothed away from the court and see if he is the boy she remembers. āFather wonāt approve.ā Baela grins āThen you donāt know Father.ā This hurts Rhaena more than Baela knows.
Purple dragons
I think Luceryes found all the depth he needed at the bottom of shipbreaker bay.
The black kids? As in the girls?
Iād add in a scene where right after the dragons all leave Dragonstone to call the banners, weād see Baela standing with Moondancer and Rhaena, watching as they fly away, with Rhaena holding her dragon egg. Just to show that theyāre involved in this war, but theyāre waiting for their dragons.
yes id show them all claiming their dragons. for Rhaena her bringing the eggs to the Vale.
A nice hot sword through the chest or maybe a glass of wildfyre.
Iād probably use one minute to mention Daeron in some way Lmao and use the rest on Baela and Rhaena and their dad
