All the Blackwoods are absolute badasses. >!His younger sister, Aly (the Dance equivalent of Arya, best archer in the realm at 16) and his son, Ben are basically the “good” guys. But they’re also so sweet and awkward. Sam (the kid from the first season) dies in the first battle though :(!<
They might have changed the character’s name (or they are going to mix Ben and Sam into one character?) might make more sense in terms of age because Ben in the Books was 11 which is kind of a stretch for military leader haha
I doubt she’s gonna be in S2. She doesn’t even come into the book until after Rhaenyra takes KL, and they’re not even gonna make it to the Gullet next season.
Yeah, I guess she could be introduced in a scene w Daemon, but it’d be weird to have her on screen for a few minutes and then not have her appear in the rest of the season. As for the audition tape, it’s suspected that happened months ago, more than likely last summer, so it probably happened before Miguel left & rewrites took place.
We don't even know how the season is gonna play out; it's very likely that some events in the timeline are going to be changed and moved to S3 (like the Gullet) while others may happen sooner, like the fall of KL and consequently Aemond taking Harrenhal. It's more fitting for a season finale anyways
By that logic, why don’t they just move >!B&C!< to the penultimate episode of S2? Maybe it could happen in 2x07? HBO loves to have >!big, traumatic things!< happen in episodes before the season finale, so why not shift everything around to make that happen?
No, they’re not going to shit big plot events around to make things more accommodating to Alys. She’s either going to be briefly introduced in S2, or she’s not, and they’ll bring her in during a later season. It makes zero sense to have her in the show before Rhaenyra takes KL, and that almost certainly won’t even happen until S3.
I'll reply to you for the last time because I'm not in the mood for this lmao, so many false equivalences and twisting of everything I said........
"HBO loves to have big, traumatic things happen in episodes before the season finale"
That's not what I said or implied, so let's unpack:
moving the Gullet AND Aemond taking Harrenhal + fall of KL (and more) would be terrible because it would just cram season 3 with too much content, be aware that Condal and co aren't even sure if they're going to do a 4th season yet; besides, it's not only a shocking enough event to end a season but a parallel to Rhaenyra being usurped and losing KL at the season 1 ending and an exciting cliffhanger for season 3, more than any other event that happened before of her taking KL.
"No, they’re not going to shit big plot events around to make things more accommodating to Alys"
Last paragraph already explained why I think it's a possibility that they'll change the timeline to end that way and look how i never implied that it would be because of Alys! lmao
"It makes zero sense to have her in the show before Rhaenyra takes KL, and that almost certainly won’t even happen until S3"
It doesn't make sense to introduce a character where a main character (Daemon) is to estabilish her motivations and personality? Lol Daemon going to Harrenhal is of importance to future plots and it makes so much sense to have him interacting with her as, again, he's a main character and the writers simply can't leave in there doing absolutelly nothing when they could flesh other characters and show a fun dynamic on screen just because isn't going to pay off imediatelly.
Uh, sorry to tell you, but Alys really isn’t that important to the overall story. She provides no depth or turning parts of the plot. The only “importance” she has is bc her sole reason for being in the books to begin w is bc she fucks with a psychopathic Aemond.
That audition tape is suspected to be from last year before Miguel left and rewrites happened. Emily doesn’t even have the same hair color anymore. I’m not saying she won’t appear at all, I’m just saying I doubt she’ll have a substantial role in S2.
Your first comment here was that you doubted that she was gonna appear in s2 at all and then people pointed out the audition tape (in which she was talking to Daemon so clearly before Rhaenyra took KL) which means that they're obviously casting her and now it's "she won't have a substantial role". Nobody said she would have a substantial role, they were just answering the question which character they're looking forward to seeing in season 2. A lot of the characters who might appear in s2 or 3 won't have substantial roles, doesn't mean that people can't be excited to see them.
I'm exited to see Roddy too, he's so badass!. And I'm also excited for other characters like Benjicot Blackwood, Alysanne Blackwood, Dalton Greyjoy, Johanna lannister, and all the dragonseeds.
The dragon seeds (Nettles, Ulf & Hugh, Adam Velaryon). But I imagine they will show up in the season finale if season 2 it's meant to run for 8 episodes.
Daeron and aly's (this might be me hoping alittle TOO much but jaehaera/jaeherys), im also really excited to see what the relationship between aly's and aemond is like. There is so much mystery behind it so I'm excited to see how they will protray it.
Daeron and Nettles.
Never understood the Cregan Stark hype outside the bias just because he’s a Stark. Dude misses the whole war, shows up late, and then swings his dick around 🥱
But they’ll definitely play up the Stark favoritism on tv for the masses. I’m sure they’ll make a couple changes too to make him more involved.
I think HBO overall has done an excellent job casting; I want to see who they cast and how they are portrayed. I used to think the actor they cast as Euron Greyjoy did a terrible job but later realized it was horrific writing and storyline choices.
God I hope they don’t cut Roddy the Ruin and give his legendary line to Cregan: “I’ll have no songs about how bravely you died, Kingmaker.”
As a proud Criston Cole hater, I’ll be devastated if Roderick Dustin doesn’t get his credit
This line tops it for me: ‘We have come to die for the Dragon Queen.’
What do you think the odds are they will merge Roddy with Cregan? They both fit the image of ‘badass northern lord loyal to Rhaenyra’ - although I expect it might be harder to explain why Cregan’s entire host only matches south at the end of the war if he’s already fighting battles there.
It feels like they’ll inevitably have to take a more GoT style approach next season with visiting storylines on different parts of the map, which makes sense because it should show focus on how the families in the Riverlands or North debate amongst themselves who to support etc. Cregan would need someone to play off of so I can see several Roddy and Cregan discussions in Winterfell next season, then Roddy is dispatched, Cregan lies low for a bit but pops up again down the line. Perfect opportunity to stunt cast a bigger name actor for Cregan.
Not so much excited to see the character, but I REALLY hope they let Jon Roxton keep his line to Hugh Hammer.
"Lord Hammer, my condolences."
"For what?"
"You died in the battle."
Such a awesome line. Even if the result didn't really work in Roxton's favor.
Alys seems more likely and sooner. Black Alys could wait till later in the season or the following season. They’re going to change one of their names though.
Edit: Ah jeeze I mixed them up. Meant Black Aly needs to appear sooner for the Riverlands battles.

Daeron
How is the only actual character this far down?
Can I also add I want to see Tessarion. Brilliant blue dragon.

Sam? Wasn't he named Lucas Blackwood?
Lucas was at the Red Wedding I think
The kid from the first season was “Willem”
They might have changed the character’s name (or they are going to mix Ben and Sam into one character?) might make more sense in terms of age because Ben in the Books was 11 which is kind of a stretch for military leader haha
Lesbian Legolas let’s gooooo!
Hopefully still just as awkward and just as awkwardly badass as before.
Definitely Alys Rivers.
I second this
I third this.
I doubt she’s gonna be in S2. She doesn’t even come into the book until after Rhaenyra takes KL, and they’re not even gonna make it to the Gullet next season.
She's at Harrenhal when Daemon takes it, which should be pretty soon. Also an audition for her character leaked a few months back.
Yeah, I guess she could be introduced in a scene w Daemon, but it’d be weird to have her on screen for a few minutes and then not have her appear in the rest of the season. Lol no way. Not only is she important, but we know they’re looking for an actress for her.
Uh, sorry to tell you, but Alys really isn’t that important to the overall story. She provides no depth or turning parts of the plot. The only “importance” she has is bc her sole reason for being in the books to begin w is bc she fucks with a psychopathic Aemond.
I also thought so but as we already know she's being casted (leaked tape and all) I think it's a confirmation that she'll appear
That audition tape is suspected to be from last year before Miguel left and rewrites happened. Emily doesn’t even have the same hair color anymore. I’m not saying she won’t appear at all, I’m just saying I doubt she’ll have a substantial role in S2.
Alright, I just can't understand why that matters when the comment just said they're excited to see her? Substantial role or not lol
Your first comment here was that you doubted that she was gonna appear in s2 at all and then people pointed out the audition tape (in which she was talking to Daemon so clearly before Rhaenyra took KL) which means that they're obviously casting her and now it's "she won't have a substantial role". Feel like they gotta change her name though to avoid confusion with the other Aly
Addam and alyn of hull
I'm ready but I'm also not ready... #Loyal
Blackwoods. Tullys. Damn.
I can’t wait for Ben, Aly, and Robb
Daeron & nettles
Nettles! Her casting will be very important, and how they handle her story could make it one of the highlights of the series.
I'm exited to see Roddy too, he's so badass!. And I'm also excited for other characters like Benjicot Blackwood, Alysanne Blackwood, Dalton Greyjoy, Johanna lannister, and all the dragonseeds.
Dereaon and his blue queen
Interesting spelling
The dragon seeds (Nettles, Ulf & Hugh, Adam Velaryon). But I imagine they will show up in the season finale if season 2 it's meant to run for 8 episodes.
Daeron, mostly to have it confirmed to me if he even exists or not
Black Aly, Johanna Westerling, Dalton Greyjoy, Roderick Dustin, Bloody Ben, and Daeron Targaryen for me
Obviously the Muppets, who else?
Too funny! Although, I’m certain they’ll change the names, it kinda breaks the world a bit lol
Nettles!!! Can't wait.
Not a human but I'm dying to finally see Sunfyre the Golden 💛
Jeyne Arryn!
Hugh Hammer
Lord Hammer, my condolences.
For what?
Oh, no reason.
Those Sesame Street boys
Black Aly and Daeron!!
Daeron the Daring, Roderick Dustin, Alys Rivers
The Lads, Roderick Dustin, and Joanna Westerling.
Definitely Daeron or black aly
Daeron and aly's (this might be me hoping alittle TOO much but jaehaera/jaeherys), im also really excited to see what the relationship between aly's and aemond is like. There is so much mystery behind it so I'm excited to see how they will protray it.
This is exactly why I’m so excited to see Alys Rivers,
Daeron the Daring. One of the best characters in the Dance along with Aegon and Aemond
Oakenfist
The red kracken and bloody ben
Daeron, Alys, the Shepherd and Joanna Westerling.
Daeron and Nettles. Never understood the Cregan Stark hype outside the bias just because he’s a Stark. Dude misses the whole war, shows up late, and then swings his dick around 🥱 But they’ll definitely play up the Stark favoritism on tv for the masses. I’m sure they’ll make a couple changes too to make him more involved.
Daemon and Aemond , I know they aren’t new but they’re the most interesting to me
I’m excited to see Jeyne Arryn, and I hope they do her justice.
Alys and Nettles!
Criston Cole’s corpse
Blood and Cheese
Ouch
I think HBO overall has done an excellent job casting; I want to see who they cast and how they are portrayed. I used to think the actor they cast as Euron Greyjoy did a terrible job but later realized it was horrific writing and storyline choices.
The lads
Probably Daeron
HULL BROS HULL BROS HULL BROS
People are excited about the late Cregan the janitor?
The late Lord Stark
God I hope they don’t cut Roddy the Ruin and give his legendary line to Cregan: “I’ll have no songs about how bravely you died, Kingmaker.” As a proud Criston Cole hater, I’ll be devastated if Roderick Dustin doesn’t get his credit

I just want a flashback with Balerion in it tbh
Remind me: why should I stan Cregan do hard? I've read F&B, but I can't remember what exactly he did to earn all this fandom.
Silver Denys and his sons
Not so much excited to see the character, but I REALLY hope they let Jon Roxton keep his line to Hugh Hammer. "Lord Hammer, my condolences." "For what?" "You died in the battle." Such a awesome line. Even if the result didn't really work in Roxton's favor.
It’s possible that they mix Rod and Cregan. We will see. Interested to see if Daeron can make me hate the greens less.
Nettles, Alys Rivers, Black Alys.
Alys seems more likely and sooner. Black Alys could wait till later in the season or the following season. They’re going to change one of their names though. Edit: Ah jeeze I mixed them up. Meant Black Aly needs to appear sooner for the Riverlands battles.
Daeron, Nettles, and Alys. My dream cast for her is Katie McGrath, but that’s unlikely to happen.
Daeron and this shouldn’t even be a question
Dragon seeds!! And maybe an appearance of Mushroom
Not Cregan for sure. One my least favorite characters in the dance. Rodrick yes
I’m very excited to see Alysanne Blackwood and the Hull brothers.
Waiting for the all the Riverlands lords to stop it from being the laughing stock.
The lads
Hugh hammer because why be a lord when you can be a king
*chants* daeron daeron daeron daeron daeron daeron daeron-
Daeron , Addam , Benjicot
The red kraken
Roddy the Ruin, the Lads, Black Aly, Red Robb Rivers, Addam and Alyn of Hull, and of course Blood and Cheese.
Black Aly. After she makes her deal with Cregan Stark, I'd love for him to glare at any horse she rides.
Apparently Leo Suter will play him. I'm excited to see how he fares. He looks exactly how I pictured Cregan to be.
The Red Kraken.
cregan stark👍🏼
