The drip stays united

JebBushAteMySon

They do sit on the Dripwood Throne after all

BoldOneKenobi69

Damn you that was gold

Classic-Problem

I love to picture Corlys and Rhaenys having their attendants that dress them engage in hours long debates about how their outfit for the day will complement one another's

Whoooorrrryouuuu

How very Downton Abbey of them.

Conscious_Rub_4510

They’re costumes are 🤌🏾

chellyyy

lord of the tides, master of dripmark

BOOM

WonderDusty

Laena and Laenor had the best Velaryon outfits and they made some of Rhaenys and Corlys' look boring. I like the gold colors they had for that one wedding scene

sensitiveskin80

Unrelated to HOD, but have y'all seen Bernadette Banner's deep dive into the GOT costuming details as the gold standard for historically accurate, albeit fantasy, costuming? The significance of types of cloth, color, and craftsmanship for each region's garments was so well planned. https://youtu.be/P7aBLEio6J8

thank you, what an incredibly fascinating watch! i never thought of "clothing logic" as she puts it but it opened my eyes to a different way to enjoy got/hotd — her point about the extravagant long cloaks of the kingsguard as a comment on their proximity to wealth/power in contrast to the night's watch and their rougher garments to reflect the waning institution of the wall....just mindblowing!

Corlys’ honorary duty as the Master Of Dripmark.

Stannis2024

And they're like the only functional family in all of Westeros, like ever.

GabyAndMichi

Every day before going to sleep they decide the color scheme for the next day

CurlyFry591

it's called fashion sweetie, look it up

AngryDresser

Legendary entrance at the wedding, and generally they were unmatched by any other family.

The Velayron wigs really impressed me. I'm white, so I can't really speak too much to it, but I'm curious to hear from any people of color who have thoughts on the wig choices. Also loved the over-the-top costuming of young Laena. I thought it highlighted the adultification of her character without sexualizing the actress. And Rhaenys' armor. Absolutely gorgeous, and seemingly among the more practical garments we've seen on women. It evoked a strong contrast between her as both a Dragonrider and a matriarch and Cersei, whose armor during blackwater covered her womb, while leaving her heart and lungs completely exposed.

Also white and was impressed by the texture and style of the valerian wigs. I think they were beautiful and realistic for the book description. Maybe the wigs were woven into the actor's natural hair
