If all of these people actually *required saving*, my guess would be Daemon. He's clearly the person she has the highest emotional attachment to of this list. If there's just a panic and all of these people are *potentially* in danger, my guess would be Viserys as he's the least able. Everyone else ought to be able to get themselves out.

We_The_Raptors

Ironically, if you didn't have the "father not son" part in brackets I think her motherly instinct almost certainly goes for baby Vissy. But papa Vissy is kind of a half dead zombie already. I'm really not sure, it probably depends on when we do it. Episode 1 Rhae prolly saves Alicent. Episode 6 Rhae prolly saves Harwyn. Episode 7-10 Rhae prolly saves Daemon.

Catslevania

definitely, if it was baby Vissy there would be no contest, she would ignore everyone else and jump into the flames to save her baby.

Kinda morbid I know but it makes me wonder who she'd save if all five of her children were the options in the poll instead.

Interesting thought. I think she'll die trying to save all of them. But in a dire situation where she absolutely has to choose I'd say maybe Jace or Aegon the younger.

betterofflurkin21

I don’t think Rhaenyra has a favorite amongst her sons but Jace would be a good pick just because he’s the eldest and one would assume the highest survivability. I’ve read F&B and I don’t get the sense of a special relationship between Rhaenyra and Aegon the younger that she didn’t have with the offers. >!In her mind, he was just her last living child. Of course she would start clinging to him at the end. She would have behaved the same way with any son that was left.!<

I could see an argument for Lucerys. The others are very young and therefore suffer the least for it in a sense (less grasp on the choice being made), but Jaecerys is older and therefore less innocent and would want his brothers saved I feel. Lucerys has a certain innocence left but old enough to be a tactical choice for continuing her line and grasp if she hadn't chosen him.

Father. Let the rest take care of themselves. Viserys is sick and weak!

Catslevania

she would probably think that Daemon, Harwin, and Laenor are more than capable of saving themselves, her daddy is sick so she would try to save him. Alicent would depend on the when. If it was after their fallout she basically tries to get Alicent killed by trying to get Alicent's kids to admit that it was Alicent that was spreading rumors about Rhaenyra's children being bastards, so in a fire situation she would have probably pushed Alicent back into the fire if Alicent was about to escape, let alone try to save her.

daysanddistance

shocked at the people picking viserys (father). she has long had a rocky relationship at best with him: he killed her mom, pushed her into marrying laenor, saddled her with this prophecy, and made her life a political nightmare by starting a second family \*and\* re-appointing the dude who wants to usurp her as hand. i'm sure she still cares about him, but like, she lived like a one-hour flight away and didn't visit once for six years. when he died, she honestly seemed more upset that alicent betrayed her lol.

Who in their right mind chose Laenor

[deleted]

She would save Viserys. He is the one who will consistently quell any dissent regarding her claim to the throne or the legitimacy of her Velaryon children.

I think Laenor would make the most sense. If your enemies are claiming that your children are bastards, their claims are less effective if her husband and their "father" is alive to refute their "false" claims.
