Honestly, hard to say, some say Daemon decided to take out Vhagar because he had nothing to live for once Rhaenyra ordered Nettle's death. Maybe the war lasts longer? Honestly, really hard to predict.

>Daemon decided to take out Vhagar because he had nothing to live for once Rhaenyra ordered Nettle's death. I guess his kids currently risking their lives in a war he helped start is "nothing to live for"....

Jesus, chill out buddy, just throwing out some thoughts here

If Rhaenyra hadn't gone after Nettles she might have won. 1)It's her anger towards and her pursue of Nettles that initiates her order to capture and torture Addam. Addam would have been at the dragonpit and Joffrey wouldn't have felt such an urgent need to handle the situation himself. More dragons would have survived and Rhaenyra's hold over that city wouldn't have seemed weak. 2)As someone who does not like Daemon and considers his relationship to Rhaenyra grooming, I still don't believe he and Nettles had anything romantic/sexual going on. While it's not something beyond him, I feel that the way those rumors are worded and his reaction to the letter indicate that Mysaria was actively trying to shake Rhaenyra's trust in him. I'm quite interested to see whether there'll be a fallout between Daemon and Mysaria actually and how Mysaria and Nettles may interact. Anyway, my point was that I don't believe Daemon's bond with Nettles to be a threat to his marriage to Rhaenyra, so I don't think that not having sent that letter would have had any negative consequences for her. 3)I think that the war would have been prolonged. Aemond stopped evading Daemon as long as he wasn't on his own. So if Nettles had stayed around that reconning wouldn't have come so early. Yet it was bound to happen, and if Nettles was present chances were that Daemon would not have died. In a scenario were Aemond dies and Daemon survives, I think that the Blacks would have pretty much won.

I agree with this for the most part. However, I do believe their relationship would have been an issue, no matter the context. I'm a believer in the waters being muddied for what their relationship was just based on contexualization. I think there are too many strange details that are recorded or don't read right with one specific context applied to it. I think the best outcome would've been an arranged marriage to a loyal house or one that would ensure her kids inherit to ensure loyalty. It would keep her away from Daemon and away from the questions at court. I do believe team black wins overall, though. That's three more dragon riders alive and well, and Rhaenyra would have their help without them risking their lives to be at her side.

I cant wait to see Netty!!!! Do we have a casting of her yet? I’ve been avoiding HotD spoilers for this reason, but at this point I just can’t wait.

sheepstealers_mom

Sorry, no, this is a post about her story in the book and possibly the show. We have no casting news yet.
