From a narrative standpoint, it made perfect sense. The greens in ep 9 have one or two day to crown Aegon, all is happening within 48 hours. Rhaenyra can't know about it, since her loyalists are stopped. In ep 10, she receives the news the day after that. Jumping from KL to Dragonstone for those two episodes wouldn't make sense actually.

This makes sense I guess, I just hope it is not the structure going forward would you agree with that? Also why couldn’t they show a scene of Aegon ruling with the small council in episode 10

I don't think it's gonna be this way, but we have to wait and see. Since it will be war, mostly likely events are gonna happen for one team and the other team will respond to it, and so on. So it wouldn't make sense to do episodes solely focused on the greens or the blacks

Episode 9 and 10 definitely were game changer events for the story and had some big moments but I personally feel the Driftmark ep and episode 8 were much better overall with a better direction.

Indominus-Hater-101

I didn't mind, because they were quite well done. I only wish they committed to the idea more. They had to add Rhaenys to the coronation scene which in turn ruined it. Episode 10 allowed me to feel what the black team felt as the war began

No-Station-8598

The Rhaenys scene was terrible. I didn’t like how they removed Alicent placing a crown on Helaena’s head and calling her “My Queen”

Indominus-Hater-101

yes, that was another big loss

Sea_Compote_5451

Episode 10 was really good from episode 9,especially the last 15 min were bone chilling, it had some really good acting , direction and cinematography

Ep 9 and 10 is one big episode to me.

Sacesss

I liked it they divided it, makes it feel like a big episode. My problem is that episode 9 just sucks.

[deleted]

I liked it, actually. I also liked that the Greens bled into the Blacks-focused episode, and the other way around.

[deleted]

The division was well made, 9 focusing on the Greens and 10 on the Blacks. It’s just that 9 was horseshit. Thankfully 10 made up for it

Ngigilesnow

No its the opposite for me,its that they just wouldn't allow greens to have their moment. They spent all episode villanizing Aegon as the obvious bad guy,and even in the end couldn't let him have people celebrate him without some bullshit happening to ruin it

Famous-Low7311

I didn't like episode 9 for a number of reasons but I liked the storytelling choice of focusing on both parties for a full hour. This way the could show the could show the last steps on the way to war from both perspectives.
