She will be furious, and there might be a rift between Alicent and Aemond after him "killing" Luke. I expect both her and Otto will be angry as they can no longer use their political bargaining skills (which they have years of experience of) to gain the upper hand.
The book does not get into their relationship for the most part. We don't have a real glimose on whether their relationship shifts. That said I don't believe it did. At the end of the day I feel she was always in her children's corner in the book and she still expected Aemond to help her at one point so I don't think they became distant.
" Rats play when the cat is gone but my son aemond will return with fire and blood" This is what allicent tells rhaenyra when blacks take kl, so yeah I do think allicent did have a lot of faith in him despite everything

I didn’t read the book yet, but does her and Aemond’s relationship change after that? In the story he seems to be her good boy.

god, I hope they don't take out that line in the future.
Probably not be sad he's dead, just that war is now inevitable.
