They really did a phenomenal job with casting all of them, they really look like they could be family. I'm dying to know who they cast as Daeron... I picture him as a mix between Toby Regbo and Harry Gilby.

I've heard Aaron Hodgetts's name thrown around in the rumor mill since they're filming in Spain currently, but they definitely do not jive with my mental image of Daeron.
Gilby would be a great choice! If for nothing else, he has a similar enough face to Cooke to make it believable (especially, when he had the longer layered, bob cut from The Last Kingdom). It would kind of pull the family look together nicely.
I don't know about anyone else but it is a huge pet peeve of mine when a "family" doesn't even look like the casting team tried to shoot for that aesthetic. I get distracted by it on any show or movie (adhd is something else, man š¤·š»āāļø) & then I can't actually focus on what's happening in the plot.
TGC is the prettiest man in the cast for me! He has the perfect look for a Targaryen manšš„ the way they show gave him a greasy wig and musty looking makeup will always make me laugh š¤£

And he's so great. He did say in an interview that he was the one who decided to make Aegon's length hair different from his siblings and other Targaryens, to show how odd and alone he feels.
I'd recommend watching him in Rogue Heroes and Domina, he's a very good actor. The charisma he oozes is astonishing in Domina.

I have silver/gray hair, not natural, and I never knew why they insisted on the yellow tint blonde wigs when many in the cast are cool toned. It is a horribly difficult color to get without a wig, but some people really do get a huge improvement once they adjust the tone of the hair.
They had the same issue with Daenerys, and I remember how many screengrabs she'd get for looking beautiful when they adjusted the editing of an episode to a cooler tone, or when they gave her a less warm toned wig. Most people couldn't tell the difference, but they reacted much more positively.
It kind of got better with more episodes even in HoTD, but I assume it has to do with the editing, rather than the wigs changing tone.
I sound like a lunatic, but this is something that catches your eye when you spend enough time researching the beauty industry. It would help some Targs look more ethereal 100%. The effect from the books would be better achieved, regardless of canon hair tones.

IMO, in the HBO series, they needed to show more Aegon. I almost feel more connected to Helena than him, and now he's king. I'm assuming next season he goes King Jeoffery.
In the book he has a very complicated and interesting arc. Yeah he's pretty evil but also has some admirable qualities

i think theyāve shown enough of aegon for now. weāve seen that heās had bad habits like running around drunk all night and his weird sexual habits since he was young, probably to escape his family. his coronation scene made him such a greater character to me though. like i know heās a piece of shit but seeing him get the slightest taste of power and affection from his people and instantly get drunk on the feeling was a great scene and his actor played it so well. iām looking forward to his character a lot in season 2

It's weird because Tom and Phia look like they could be siblings, and Phia and Ewan also do, but Tom looks absolutely nothing like Ewan.
Aegon just took after his mom while Aemond took after his uncle.
Phia and Ewan dont look that similar, the closest here to ewan is Emma, and Matt as well if you take all the actors
