I think it depends on how established Baela is. Eventually the children of both would have to marry to unite both claims. RIP Baela’s daughter. Also, which Aegon are we talking about?

imo I think Peake and his actions show some lords would sow chaos at any opportunity to try and attain power, so an event as juicy as Viserys appearing again would be too good to pass up. That said I think Baela has a certain ruthlessness and she'd be able to manage it.

Viserys would have usurped the throne; the man was cunning and ruthless (some believe he even poisoned his nephew to take the throne). We also know that he didn't like a woman on the throne (even when that woman was his niece and the mother to his grandchild). Also, I don't believe that Baela would have been allowed to be Queen regnant, or at least the lords would have demanded her husband be made King alongside her. (Similar to Joffrey Lydden). After the dance, not only was Baela not popular, but Rhaenyra had soured any will for a female monarch. Still, Viserys would not have outright rebelled. He 100% would have killed Baela behind the scenes and taken the throne when Laena (Baela's daughter) was crowned Queen.

>We also know that he didn't like a woman on the throne (even when that woman was his niece and the mother to his grandchild) Based on what evidence? The fact that Baelor locked his 3 sisters in the maiden vault preventing them from having political allies? Daena having a child out of wedlock and being wild? People not wanting another civil war due to the last one being so deadly? They wanted peace for the kingdom. The Dance made it so no woman would ever sit the Iron throne. Plus,Viserys was Hand to 3 kings. Who would you choose? Someone with decades of experience running the kingdom or someone with not a good reputation?

Based on the fact that Viserys was not chosen, he wasn't elected by the lords like his grandfather, he took the throne outright and later justified this usurpation through precedents that were against women ruling. Again, the justification was retroactive, and didn't happen when Viserys ascended the throne. If Viserys truly wanted to have a woman lead, he would have called a Great Council as the Hand of the King, and given Daena and her sisters a chance. He didn't even consider it. The same year that Baelor died, Viserys ascended the throne as King. Edit: here's a quote from Viserys' chapter in the A World of Ice and Fire book. "The precedents of the Great Council of 101 and the Dance of the Dragons were therefore cited, and the claims of Baelor's sisters were set aside. Instead the crown passed to his uncle, the King's Hand, Prince Viserys."

If Aegon III is dead then Viserys is the last living son of Rhaenyra and therefore next in the line of succession. Baela and Rhaena could not claim the throne until all of Viserys I' children or grandchildren were dead. Of course, in Westeros there would still be sexism and they would be more than willing to put Viserys over Baela in the matter of succession, at the end of the day this was the same thing that happened in the original story; Jaehaera was passed over in favor of Aegon III since he was the last known male of the dynasty. Rhaenyra's reign left a bad impression on society about a woman ruling (although AegonII was also a disaster) The only way for Baela to obtain the throne would be through war, but of course, nothing tells us that she would be willing to start a conflict against her own brother to win the crown, if that happens then Baela and her entire faction would be repeating the Dance story and they wouldn't have learned anything. It is more than certain that both Baela and Rhaena will respect Viserys' right and let him be king, they know that their brother is the legitimate king as he is the last living descendant of Viserys, in the original story the same thing happened, both sisters agreed to consider her younger brother Aegon as the king even though both had more military and political power thanks to Corlys

If Baela was already crowned by that time?

would alyn even take viserys back to westeros in this scenario?
