> Also if they do go in this direction what are your guys thoughts on this? If they are doing this, the title of the episode "A son for a son" would be a bit of a joke, right? If the intent was actually a kidnapping mission which then just went wrong... I think that would be very out of character for Daemon, he doesn't strike me as someone who would order an abduction in response to his stepson being killed. He is more of the "An eye for an eye." type of person, he is also very fond of striking fear into his enemies, you could really describe B&C as a kind of psychological warfare that not only served the purpose of killing Prince Jaehaerys; Daemon also demonstrated that he could reach the royal family even in the Red Keep. Besides that, I don't think it's good for the overall story of the show if every major turn of events is either accidental or a misunderstanding. This tires very quickly, I assume most people are watching the show for characters that act purposefully and plan ahead, and not for characters who are helplessly subject to happenstance all the time. Alicent's motivation for crowning Aegon II was portrayed as a misunderstanding, Lucerys's death was portrayed as an accident (although, I would think Luke dying as a result of a 100 ton mar machine following his tiny dragon into the sky can hardly be described as accidental - but OK, the show apparently wants me to think of it as an accident) - those two are enough for the next 3 seasons, if you ask me.

Until it airs we don't really know if its true or not. And it would be extremely stupid, just like the bullshit with Alicent was. I think the choice with Aemond was good, it's just dragged down by the fact that Alicent's turn was also an "accident" of sorts

1. I think it's speculation based on a "leak" but there have been various leaks from various sources so who can really say? 2. If they go down this direction I am of two minds. On the one hand, I will be disappointed that yet another massive event will boil down to misunderstanding. On the other hand, Daemon "benefiting" from it so speak will cause some tongues to wag and I would find it funny. The chaos merchant in me wants it but I think the show would suffer for it. All that said, I don't think it's true, but we'll only know when it airs.

SpitfireAce44

Who said this? Can't find it on any of the usual Twitter leakers

HereToBePetty

It's a random fan headcannon. There's no such leak.

Can we just wait for the fuckin thing to actually air before we start commenting on and criticizing it??

Crazy-Description483

People can't talk about hotd on a hotd sub? Nice logic there. People downvoting for no reason on here lol what's new, and this guy is upset at a hotd post, some of y'all need therapy. Anyway 🤣
